The salon booked me with level 4 stylist, Amie. She is very personable and we chatted the whole time. All of the employees that work for the salon seem to enjoy the work environment and culture, which always makes the experience pleasant for customers. I was the only customer in the salon for the majority of my cut--wouldn't have minded if it had been slammed. Amie gave me the best "wash before cut"! TBH can relax myself just thinking about the head massage. All of the hair products used on me were up to standards. The hair cut itself gets a 10/10...just the right length and amount of layers. Thanks Amie :) I will be back!

Hair looked the EXACT same as when I walked in. :/ Service was good, Lauren was rly nice. Also I thought Id get my hair styled nicely at the end, but it just got blowdried straight down and just looked ehh. I was very much underwhelmed and a little disappointed because there was no visible difference at all. I paid $85 for pretty much no change, lol Vibe was nice though, cool atmosphere. Overall from my experience, my cut was extremely mid.

I tend to get a bit nervous going to new salons since I've had some bad blonde-ing experiences, but Carol (with some great help from her daughter) was absolutely amazing!!! She evened out a few bands I had from a previous stylist, and got me to an amazing, even platinum color (from very dark brown hair). What was even more impressive was she did this in 2 hours flat - typically I spend twice that long in the salon to do the same thing. With 40 years of experience, Carol is a rock star stylist. She gave my partner a stellar haircut as well, and both together were for a super affordable price. Everyone in the salon was really friendly, and it was a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. If we come through Charleston again in the future, this will be our go to place. Thanks again Carol!!

I was nervous as always, having really curly hair can be a burden and make that whole anxiety thing worse but she made me feel at ease from the beginning. Highly recommend her for the curly haired guys and gals. Cannot say a single negative thing about my experience and to make everything even better, their online scheduling made the entire thing so stinking easy. Thank you for making me feel pretty again! This is also due to the fact there wasn't an apology. I was at the salon from approximately 12:40 p.m. until around 8:35 p.m. the other week for a partial (halo) color service, not a full-head color. Unfortunately, the results were not what we discussed. The purple turned out blue/teal, and the black was not carried through the rest of my hair, leaving uneven brown sections and noticeable banding. My hair was also left extremely dry, damaged, and breaking off in clumps. What's crazy is that even Eden acknowledged it was blue. At that point I just wanted out of the salon. Before leaving this review, I tried to resolve my concerns privately. I contacted the salon to get in touch with my stylist, and after not hearing back, I had to find her contact information through Instagram. I reached out to her directly, and although my message was read last Friday, I never received a response or even an apology. Edit: Instead of them responding and taking accountability or communicating, they blocked me on Instagram! I also later discovered I had been filmed in the background of the salon's social media content without being informed beforehand, which made me uncomfortable. My stylist Eden was kind during the appointment, but after spending nearly eight hours in the salon and paying over $500, I expected a much higher quality result and better communication afterward. I now have to pay another salon to color my hair black and begin repairing the damage. I've been embarrassed to be outside with my hair as everyone I've shown has mentioned how bad it looks. I had spent so long getting my hair to a healthy place and now I'm having to go through this. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend paying this amount for these results or even going to Coven, and I will not be returning.
