The worst Ulta in the area. Save yourself a headache and go to another one. Even the little one in Target is a better use of your time. It always feels disorganized and cluttered in the store: boxes on the floor, half stocked shelves, but nobody actually stocking anything) and the staff is the least helpful you will find. This ulta looks small but stretches for a long way back inside and is my favorite one in the suburbs! The employees are unbelievably kind and welcoming. This specific ulta is different than other ultas in the area because it has a wide variety of brands. Brands like Korean skincare, textured hair brands and a lot of the newer low key brands. Not only do they carry a huge variety of brands but they carry the full range of products in each brand and it's very convenient because you don't have to order online. They also let you buy online products in store using their POS device. I've ordered a few products like that over the years and they ship it directly to your house as well. I love everything about this ulta! And it's definitely worth a visit since it's nestled between target. read more

Absolutely love this place especially when you just want to test stuff and not buy!Unlike sephora they had lesser staff so no one keeps jumping on your head every 5 seconds. Like the location right next to target. Today I picked up a too faced lipstick Bon Bon love love the color for summers :)It's $22 but lipsticks go a long way so it's all good One con for general customers but doesn't concern me is that durning my stay for 20 mins no one came to ask me how I was doing or did I need help.This would piss off lots of customers. read more

I buzzed my hair a hair last year and it was a little below my shoulders. I had one person trim it to even it out in august but hadn't had it actually cut yet and after years of struggling with my hair I was actually beginning to be happy with it. I honestly cannot stand this place. Not Ulta the company- just this particular location. The staff seems to have an unwarranted superiority complex that I don't appreciate. I love the products and the variety but I have had some of my worst customer experiences ever here. Case in point: I purchase 2 L of hair products that I paid $46 for on ulta.com. In the time that it took for them to be delivered, I saw the same L on sale elsewhere and purchased them. When my ulta order was delivered I brought the entire unopened box in to return them. I had that shipping sheet and a copy of my order that was in the box. But because these products were on sale for like $16 around Christmas, they wouldn't give me the full refund because I didn't have a copy of the email that I was sent after placing the order. The staff member was condescending and insinuated that I was attempting to cheat them out of money. I literally drove 30 minutes home and then back with the email to return them. Because apparently they can't utilize the order number on the sheet to look it up?? My most recent experience: I'm looking for hair color components- developer, color, toner, etc. As I'm standing in the aisle with haircolor, someone approaches and asks if she can help me. I ask if they have what I'm looking for and she literally laughed at me. Stated, "well, we actually have a hair salon heeere, so we don't sell haircolor." I was a little taken aback and thought she was joking considering we were standing right next to about 300 boxes of it. She wasn't joking and so I left. I always say I won't be back to this location but I am seriously done now. I've certainly never had an experience like that at Sephora. I recently came to this location to get a brow wax. It was surprising and convenient that the wax specialist could take me right away without an appointment. That is the only pro. I've had my brows waxed dozens of times. This was the worst outcome. They were uneven and to cover it up, she encouraged me to start filling them in with makeup. It's shocking she actually completed school because her idea of filling them in left me looking theatrical. It was so embarrassing that I had to buy makeup wipes to take it all off before I could even leave the store. What a ripoff. Do NOT go to this location for waxing. read more

Not to mention that whenever I tried to sample the products, some chick would follow me around like I was going to steal something. Worst facial ever. I made an appt for a microdermabrasion. Got there and waited around because stylists were busy behind mirrors. Finally tracked down a floor worker who found my person. She basically said, there's the machine I don't really know how to use it yet but I have other things that will give you a good exfoliation. She mixed stuff right by my hears, slathered stuff on her hands like she was warming it up right above my face so I got a light splatter before she applied. The room is stark and sterile. I went in to return a product that I purchased at a different location, and she took an unusually long amount of time processing my return of one item, then said to me I an accusatory manner .... Great store, however there is an associate there who I've experienced several times, who insists on calling everyone dear incessantly, "thanks for waiting dear, did you find everything you were looking for dear?", "are you a member of our rewards program, dear?", "can I get your phone number dear?", "thank you dear, that'll be $48.99, dear. ","Credit, dear,? push the cancel, dear." "Receipt in the bag, dear? There you go dear, have a nice day, dear" I'm sure this is just a bad habit she has developed, but it sounds so condescending coming from late 20/early 30 year old, even if it is well intentioned. I have to agree with everyone posting about the staff. I always feel like they don't "see" me when I am in near the makeup. Almost like I am invisible. Then when I get someone's attention they tell me they don't actually work there, they represent a particular brand of makeup. It appears we(customers) are not anywhere near good enough to warrant good service at this location. I hope the corporate levels are reading these reviews and make a change. What a terrible experience! My teenage daughter and niece went to have makeup done...a $50 "professional" service! They left there almost in tears, they looked like clowns, the lines weren't straight, the foundation wasn't blended...what a joke! I went to this Ulta because I have had such a bad experience at the other two I used to go to. There was approximately 30 customers walking around and numerous customers looking for help! I found my make up and dug through unmarked display to find my color was not there. There were two young men standing there talking to each other but I could tell they worked there because they had the earphones in their ears. I said "do you work here" and one said "no I work at Walmart". Really cockey. He had spiked hair and was wearing contacts that made his entire eyes lime green. Most places don't hire zombies for staff which is why I was unsure if he worked there. I asked if there was another place they kept my makeup and he said up front. I went up front and surprise no make up. I bought the next color up. I have been to Ulta 4 times since I changed to this make up and every time I have had to get a different color as they are out. This was the last straw for me. I will find a different brand and not return to Ulta in Minnesota. The worst customer service I have ever encountered. read more
