I struggled with posting this review because Gregg made my hair look better than it has looked in a long time. I have long curly hair and I got cut and foil. But, customer service is lacking. First most of my 3 hour appointment was talking about god and he all but said my gay father is a freak of nature. If I hadn't had half of my hair in foils I would have walked out. This is extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Never talk about religion or politics, especially with a first time client. Didn't want to piss off the guy who was doing my hair. But, my hair looked so good I booked with him again and figured I'd tell him no god talk this time, My second appointment was to get my hair touched up for my daughter's wedding. I was pressed for time especially with guests coming in from out of town. I waited 15 minutes for Gregg. He never showed! When I was leaving the woman who was there asked me if I wanted to call Gregg. I said I thought you had done that. And she said she had talked with Gregg that morning and he would be in for his first appointment, which was me at 1:00. Wouldn't you think that when she saw he was five minutes late she would call him? And then no reaching out to me to apologize or trying to fit me in before the wedding. Radio silence. Gregg Bakker is the only stylist I can think of who has ever sat me down and said why the style I had was not the best for me--and based on my face and head shape and my hair type, told me what he would recommend. It made perfect sense to me and actually I had been trying to tell my stylist at Juut I wanted basically the exact changes he recommended. Greg wants you to walk out of his salon looking so good that people comment on it. :-). And don't we all want that! :-) He made a huge improvement in my style and color. I think he is a master colorist and I know he has won awards as a stylist. He meets people where they are at and really connects in a positive way. And I appreciate that. But mainly, I am so happy to have a hair style and color that are so much better and more fun than what I had for years at Juut. read more

Gregg literally changed my life. My hair was like past my butt and I didn't trust anyone to touch it but when I got there he explained what he recommends based on my face shape and what would look best on me. He did an absolutely amazing job and I definitely recommend it cause now my hairs a few inches past my shoulders and I feel sooo happy and am able to style it. read more

He also accommodates our entire family on time and schedules and stays late to help us out. Tried this salon and was recommended to Greg. He would not stop talking and listen since I knew what I wanted and had a picture of the cut. After telling me he was a christian and then how he loved trump, the cut was terrible and the color was exactly what I didn't want. I ended up having to tweek the cut myself. read more

I visited the Look Salon a week ago for the first time. They started out by discussing face shape and what kind of a haircut would work best with my face shape. I ended up getting a color, foil and cut and Amanda did a great job on the color; I love it! This place is amazing!! As most women I am very picky with my hair and have trouble finding a good salon. I went hear based on some reviews I saw on the internet and they certainly live up to their word. Alissa did my hair although all the other staff look completely knowledgable as well. Since I never had been there before they start by talking to you about your face shape and what kind of hair style would work best for your face shape. This is the only time I've had this done for me. My hair cut turned out AMAZING!! My hair color was also done very well!! They also offer coffee and water always a plus. Just had my first visit with Pam at The Look Salon. I cannot say enough about my absolutely positive experience. In all my salon hopping experiences, Pam is the first stylist who actually discussed my hair texture, styling possibilities and how my hair reflects my personality. For the first time in my mature life, I actually walked out of the salon proud of the cut and style. I would definitely recommend this salon to any and all who desire a true professional. Isn't it a shame that a person has to be almost 70 before they get their first perfect haircut. Because of the reviews on Yelp, I decided to go to The Look and booked an appointment with Greg, the owner. I went in because I was feeling really old looking and wanted to have someone help me come up with a style that is easy to maintain as well as flatters my features. I have always had issues with my big nose and ears and lately hair loss. I was in Greg's chair for almost an hour for a haircut. First, he pulled all my hair back and assessed my facial features to decide what would be best for my face. We also discussed my skin tone and what color is best. Then he started in on the actual cut and explained during the whole time what he was doing and why. I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks and 10 years younger. I had to immediately go to my sister's to show her my new hairdo and then stopped by my ex-husband's and his wife's house to show off how great I looked. We have all been there haven't we? We search and search for the best stylist. At times we may walk into a salon blindly thinking its close by but end up walking out with the worst haircut. We are told don't worry it will always grow out however it feels like an eternity before we feel comfortable looking in the mirror again. I was one of those people. Wasted so much time and money on stylist who did not care, were not properly trained, and did not take the time to listen to what I want and respect the investment I make. Gregg has exceptional ability to apply his master level talent and experience. He dedicates his time to take into consideration who his client is both professionally and as a unique individual. I have witnessed Gregg's dedication while at the salon; many people are very happy when they walk out and confirm they will be back. This is the best salon I've been to, hands down. I have always had a terrible time getting a haircut and dredd going. I would go 6+ months between haircuts because people always sucked at cutting my hair. No one ever took the time to realize that I have super thick hard to manage hair. This place is NOT like that. I sat down and the guy pretty much read my mind on color choice and style I wanted. He told me what would be best for me and my hair. He asked questions and made sure I was completely comfortable with what we were doing before he started. The entire staff was wonderful, everyone looked like they actually enjoyed their job. The whole mood was relaxing, no one rushed or made you uncomfortable. It was also great to see the owner there cutting hair right along his employees. As a customer that shows me he's just as dedicated as he expects his employees to be. The customer service these people provide is phenomenal. For the first time in my life I'm excited to go back and get my hair cut again. read more
