It's an alright Ulta. Standard shop size, some workers wandering around. Felt a bit chaotic with so many customers traversing here and there, but I guess that means it's popping enough that they're getting business before closing on a Saturday night. With that in mind, it felt a bit like a mess in the store. The huge Squishmallows atomizer Cam perfume that I've been wanting to try was bone dry. Lots of mushed and wiped make up here and there. I'm sure they're gonna clean it up after closing and before opening, but those were the battle scars at the end of the day. I had such a positive experience at Ulta and wanted to recognize the employee, Jenny, who helped me when I came in feeling really self-conscious about my injury. She was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. Instead of making me feel uncomfortable, she treated me with so much compassion and focused on helping me find the right products and techniques to cover the discoloration. She took the time to explain color correcting, helped me choose the right shades, and showed me how to apply everything so it would look natural. Her knowledge and gentle approach made a situation that felt embarrassing much easier, and I left feeling so much more confident. Customer service like that truly stands out. I have came to this Ulta before a couple of times when I'm near the Anaheim plaza. Today, I got the Tarte shape tape concealer since it was on sale for only $22.40 since their original price was $32. I only paid $17 since I had my Ulta gift card & the 20% off coupon received in the mail which was a good steal. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly even helping me get the makeup item I need. The store is well organized, very clean, and spacious. There is plenty of parking. We completely understand policies and closing times, and we were okay with missing the pickup. What we weren't okay with was being laughed at by an Ulta employee. She was wearing an orange shirt, and I believe her name started with an "M." That kind of behavior is disappointing and unprofessional. Do better, Ulta. This was the worst experience of my life. I am a regular at this location and all of the employees know me. This is the first time I have seen this person. This individual, EROS, was absolutely so rude to me from the second I said hello and asked how they were doing. I hardly said two words to him. He got upset because I asked to switch out a $28 eyebrow pencil for a $16 one and I asked him if I had points and then he told me to press the cancel button. I didn't know if it was the yellow or red button so when I asked him which button it was, he just yelled at me, " I said press cancel!" Thank God there was a store full of people watching this entire ordeal and employees watching as well. I asked to speak to his manager and he ignored me so the girl at the other register called her up for me. There was a line of customers forming for him to help them and instead of helping the next guest while I was waiting for the manager Mary, he stood there, laughing at me and flipping me off, can you believe it? After he invited a guest to the register, he said " you can ignore her. She's just crazy." Pure unprofessionalism and bullying all because I switched out an eyebrow pencil. After I spoke to the manager about him, he flipped me off again and said "F YOU" and then he got in my face calling me names and threatening to kill me. I have always come here for help however I did like the attitude I was received with. I saw a worker and she ask someone before me if she needed help. That person did not need any help. Afterwards I went right up to her and ask for help she look at me and said no i actually forgot to go on my break I can't help you but I'll send someone else. I went back to my section and looked over my shoulder and she continued to work and help someone else with their make up. She let her sit down and she helped her found the perfect foundation. I had a feeling this lady was lying to me and was disappointed that she wasn't truthful and lied to get out of helping me. I used to work in retail and I understand circumstances, but this is not OK. I did get help by someone who did not know their foundation very well. She suggested a very dark foundation not even close to my color skin. I hope they do better here. read more

Never have I experienced such poor customer service as I did today at this Ulta in Anaheim. I waited in line for almost 10 minutes while Alizay typed away on her phone. Before this I could tell the customer ahead of me was already frustrated with her and I see why. Not once, did she say "I'll be right with you, or thanks for waiting" just completely ignored me and the 3 other ladies waiting in line. I came in looking for my shape tape concealer and it says "3 free minis with purchased of full-size shape tape" it even has it printed on the box itself. She gave me the most difficult time even after I showed her on the box and that it was listed on the sign. She still wasn't acknowledging me and kept cutting me off to speak into her walkie. She then proceeded to call her manager whose mind was buffering just as slow as hers to find the sign and look up a code. She was apprehensive to let me leave with the "free items" as she's talking to her manager on her walkie saying "she's already leaving with it". Thank God another associate easily checked me out and was quick in getting me my free mini items, I spent more than $100.
