    Chicken korma
    Charissa T.

Ah, I love this place. I've been going here for years because of the food! They have a wide variety of food (including vegetarian options) and my personal favorite: chicken korma. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean, and although surrounded by fake plants its still nice. The naan is very tasty as well. A good setting for small families or a date and they have a lunch special where you get to try multiple popular dishes! Ask for a spice above what you want to get a spicer dish in my experience. I will be back!

We visited this place on our trip. We had our thali special, kids had chicken fried rice and chicken 65. The taste was really good and the spice level was perfect for us. Service was prompt. Would definitely recommend. Though I would recommend to add yogurt for the thali would be great.

    Pani Puri

My wife and I wanted to try something new, came across Ugadi Indian grill, it was my first time trying Indian food, the pani puri was very different if you don't like onions than you wouldn't like the taste of pani puri, it was a different taste but pretty good. The butter naan was cooked very well the taste was very good! The butter chicken was very delicious the chicken was tender and the creamy buttery tomato sauce. Service was really good as well we had informed our server that is was our first time eating there so she had took the initiative to help us order our meal!

My sister recommended this place and said they have the best lunch special in Murfreesboro for Indian food and I had to try it. I had the lunch special with chicken Mild on heat for me. The naan was magical, to say the least. The young lady that took our order was so kind and explaining everything to me because I had not been here before everything she recommended was top tier. The space is warm welcoming and great for a lunch or a solo day or bring your friends and family there's plenty of space! I think you can also eat outside in that area there's so much it's so nice highly recommend this place!

    Chikoo Milk Shake

This is a South Indian restaurant that offers an extensive menu. Signage stated that the owners were opening up a fast food and ice cream place as well. For anyone new to the cuisine, it's not hard to find something satisfying. For someone who does know what they're getting, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better Indian place in Tennessee than this. While nothing fancy, the strip mall location was well decorated and had plenty of seating and plenty of people working there. Spoiled for choice, I went with a mulligatawny soup (the name means something like "pepper water") which was a proper soup with ample lentils, a rich savory flavor, and a bit of rice and some fresh garnishes on top to make every bite interesting. My chikoo milkshake (some sort of melon I think) was addictive. The main dish I ordered-chole bhatura-was actually a slight disappointment as the bhatura can be a giant fried bread that puffs up and looks like about half a basketball, but here they gave me a bunch of little ones. While less impressive to look at, they delivered on taste, with a vigorous tomato-onion chickpea curry clashing beautifully with the fresh bread. It took time to cook these things, but it was nothing crazy and the freshness was worth the wait. I would note that while they had vegan items marked, the dosai are apparently not among them (butter I assume), but for those who can eat them, they're likely impressive.

Service was GREAT! And the chicken curry was PHENOMENAL! So flavorful and delish! Overall, great time!

BEST INDIAN in Murfreesboro!!! All the food here is amazing! Would be a 5 star but it's so hot and humid and uncomfortable to eat during the warmer months. Also, service is a little non existent but the delicious food makes up for it! My favorites are the lamb vindaloo and lamb biryani!! Both are one of the best Indian dishes I've ever had! I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

I've been hearing rave reviews about this place from friends and finally had the time to check it out at lunchtime recently. I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo which was fabulous, the Merchi Bajji which was fried green peppers that were decent, and as a dessert I had the Ka Meeta which was an Indian bread pudding I'd never had before. All very good. Can't wait to go back and try more off their menu!

    Boneless Chicken Biryani

This was my first time trying Ugadi, and I was very impressed. The service was great, and it wasn't too busy at lunch time. I ordered the Boneless Chicken Biryani and an order of Garlic Naan, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend.

This was my first time ever going to this restaurant and the people were nice, but not friendly. Here's what I mean, they smiled and were nice, not rude, but they weren't like trying to be helpful. For instance, I had no plate, fork, napkins, at my table, and our server didn't bring me one. So, one of the people I was with, grabbed a clean plate, napkin, and fork from another table (they're randomly on different tables) so I could have one. We were never asked if we needed a refill of our drinks or if we needed anything. It was a very hands off experience. I ordered a water and a sprite, never got a straw for both, so had to switch between the drinks. So, again, nice, but not friendly. The food wasn't the best. It was a group of 3 of us. 2 got the buffet, I personally ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh. The buffet didn't really have great options and the naan bread was just sitting out, so it wasn't nice and fresh. The food was decent, but it wasn't great. It was lacking in salt and surprisingly my meal was lacking in seasoning. I know. I know. Crazy right!? Indian food is never under-seasoned, but here we are. It honestly just tasted like spicy yogurt. Heat. Pepper. Not really the same as seasoned. The heat level , but the seasoned level ehhh. I took it to go and it got better the next day with some salt and covered in mint and tamarind sauce. Now, the meat samosas on the other hand, they were good. They needed a little salt, but they tasted pretty good. I mean I honestly have no complaints with them. They were nice and big. Crunchy. Seasoned pretty well. Overall 8/10 appetizer. No complaints from me on it. The other two enjoyed the biryani and bhatura ( soft fried fluffy bread) they had at the buffet. Those were the two things that stood out to them most. The restaurant is fairly dark and has a chill vibe where you just pick your own seats, which I really didn't have a problem with. My one complaint was the rips in some of the seats. It was a bit uncomfortable to sit on, but nothing that really destroyed your visit. It was more just like a "aww, man, that's annoying..." and then move on type of thing. Every once in a while I'd look down, see the big piece of tape and then have to reshift myself, but other than that, no big deal. Maybe I'll give them another try in the future because it was off being it was random in the middle of a week day.

We got seated right away and there was one other table in there besides us. I tried a small sample of many of the items on the buffet. I wasn't really sure what I was expecting since I'm not very familiar with Indian cuisine, but I am glad they had a buffet to give me the chance to try different items. I am glad I came here. I've tried some other spots before, but I really liked the food at this one. My favorite thing here was the naan and saag paneer. The saag paneer had a very nice flavor to it. They had plenty on their bar so I got the chance to try their tandoor chicken and chilli chicken. I can't handle spice too well, but I was able to handle the spice here. The food wasn't too spicy at all. The spice level was perfect for me. The food on the bar was more towards the cool/warm side. The chicken I tried was cool and not very warm. Next time I come, I will probably just order off the menu.

The plaza the restaurant was in was on the nicer side compared to regular strip malls, so we hoped for some good warm rice noodle soup. The place only had a few people in there, but given the fact it was a rainy day, that was expected. We were seated pretty quickly and our server got our drink orders. I had the mango milk tea with sago, and my partner had the taro mild tea with sago. I'm not sure why it happens to her drink orders, but every so often, they will have boba balls in her drinks when she didn't want them; this place was no exception. We are sad to report the flavor of these teas are quite bland. You will only get a hint of the flavor you ordered. We both ordered the golden hot and sour rice noodle soup, a side of sausage skewers, and a side of shrimp rice noodle rolls. The soup was a big disappointment. The flavor was ok at best, but all the textures were off, and the rice noodles appear to be a bit soggy when it was brought out. Neither of us finished our soups with close to half of each of our bowls left. The shrimp rice noodle rolls were a surprise. Normally, they are full shrimps inside the rolls, but at this location it was made with cooked shrimp paste. The taste was ok, but again, odd texture. The sausage skewers were a sad joke: they were two longer beef hot dogs that were fried up and served with ketchup... I am not kidding you. I didn't know what to say. We had a long drive ahead of us, so we did a double order of the popcorn chicken to go when we placed our initial order. The flavor was ok, but it had no crisp at all. At least there was some fried basil in the flavor profile. We are sad to say, we did not enjoy our visit here. I'm not sure how it has a 4.3 rating, or if being from LA has spoiled us and gave us too high of expectations for these kinds of foods.
