Curry House is a very authentic Indian restaurant with a great All you Can Eat Lunch Buffet in the Publix plaza off Sam Ridley. As someone with some indian family members and having grown up in the northeast, this Indian food is top notch, but it doesn't stop there, the owner who is here almost every single day is an amazing guy! We always look for an Indian restaurant when away from home because we don't have one. I want to be fair but this restaurant was just ok and certainly not worth how pricey it was. I liked that it was spicy and my kids enjoyed the mango lassi. Naan is good but only one piece comes with the order. The chicken tikka masala has a very red sauce and not like anything I've had before. The flavor of the lamb biryani was flavorful but the lamb was fatty. Service was pleasant and the restaurant smelled good which is a plus. read more

The best Indian Food we've eaten at any of the many such restaurants in Middle TN!!! We are Vegan and were very happy with the selection of options available. We intend to return often, it's a quick drive from Murfreesboro. There was a buffet and menu. The owner served us personally and was very helpful with making sure what we ordered from the menu were Vegan. I came for lunch and was definitely the new guy. No signs and no experience so this is what I should have done: just sit at any open seat, wait for a drink order, hit the buffet. I on the other hand bungled around. Generally, I'm not a fan of buffets for Indian food. I'm too inexperienced and don't really know what anything is. I can read the signs but that doesn't help a lot (I know the basics) and I forget what I got. So forget it if you wanted an item by item review or a menu recommendation. I tried my best to wade through as many vegetarian and carnivore items. Universally, I liked them. Surprisingly, nothing I sampled would I not recommend or have wanted more. If you like Indian food or want to sample, that lunch buffet is the way to go. Some may have some gentle heat but it was all great to me. Good luck and definitely recommended. read more

Black Friday Lunch buffet!!! We came right at 11 am, on Black Friday. We are from out of town and chose this place based on reviews. Parking - located at the end of a strip mall, so lots of parking not problems. Location- located off a major highway in a growing city. Great location Staff- waiter was very friendly, we were sat quickly. He checked in us often to see if we needed anything. Food- Buffet was smaller side. Offered veg and non veg options. Naan was so fresh& hot. Tandoori chicken was fully cooked and fresh, filled with lots of flavors Butter chicken was bland lots of read coloring and very tough chicken Everything else was ok. This place is a must try and even more so if you think you dont like Indian cuisine, or if you have never had it. And if you love Indian food, you will be in heaven. I arrived torn on menu items to order, and was delighted when the server mentioned the buffet. She took me over and showed me what was vegetarian, vegan, and meat of course. I was all in! I will admit, I tried just about everything vegetarian and vegan. The taste was out of this world. I had three plates of food and typically cant finish a plate when dining. The buffet was very clean and well maintained. Customers also wear gloves when getting their food, which I loved. That should be a standard at every buffet. Tried this place for the first time today as a recommendation from one of my Physicians. I must say, I had never heard of the Curry House before, but I was very surprised with the food. Excellent! The Saag Paneer was amazing, the Chicken Tikka Masala was very good, the Tandori Chicken was probably some of the best I've ever had (it didn't taste reheated from the day before and was tender and juicy. Man do I love Good Indian food, and this place has a great lunch buffet with a ton of tasty choices including main courses, fruit and salad, and some great desserts too read more

We were in Smyrna today and googled vegan friendly restaurants and this one came up. The owner was well aware of what vegan meant because his daughter is a vegan. He helped us select from the menu and we were delighted at the quality of the food. It was some of the best Indian food we've had! The restaurant was lovely and very clean; the service was fast and they had an extensive buffet (only one vegan entree though). I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

This was such a great place! A couple of my friends and I had a Bible Study there last night and just loved the setting. SERVICE: The owner was very sweet and helpful in explaining the differences between certain dishes. She was genuine and her son helped us in picking the best Bread. His suggestion of the Garlic Naan hit the spot. FOOD: I ordered the lamb curry at level 5 of spicy (5 is the highest!) One friend ordered chicken curry at level 3 and while the other ordered chicken tikka marsala at level 3. I had never had the chicken tikka marsala and tried some from my friend' plate. I think I will order that next time for myself. The lamb curry was excellent and overall everything tasted great! When we were leaving, the owner brought us each a red rose in honor of Valentine's weekend. Such a cute sentiment showing that she genuinely cared! I wish we would have taken photos of our food! We have been craving Indian for months do we finally ordered off the menu for pick up last week. Was dying for a samosa, but unfortunately they were out. So we ordered the regular naan, garlic mash, chicken tikka masala and saag paneer both level 4 spicy. The garlic naan and the masala was very delicious! Could've used a little more spice, but was very flavorful and plenty pieces of tender chicken. The saag paneer was good, but not the best we'd had. Overall was satisfied with our takeout experience. I've had this restaurant and it's really good I decided to eat inside for the first time and I walk in and didn't know if I should sit myself or not so I went to the cashier and asked him where can I sit and he said "table for 1?" And I said yeah and he just said ok but didn't say if I can sit anywhere I wanted so I asked this worker that was nearby and asked him can I sit anywhere? And he didn't understand me that's fine but the cashier says hey you and I said yes? What do you want he says and I said I'm wondering where I can sit and he said sit anywhere but in the most rudest tone and just giving me faces he was just being a complete dickhead for no reason so I just I was just asking what's your problem? Straight up straight out - this is THE place to be on a Friday night if you do not like waiting. But, but - it's Indian food. Yes, yes it is. You may THINK you don't like Indian food, but you have never had really good Indian food. Uninitiated daughter got Chicken Tiki Masala - mild. Wife got Chicken Saag at the suggestion of my other daughter - again mild. The daughter got Saag as well, just a little spicier. We also ordered naan and a couple of orders of Veggie Samosas. Oh, the son-in-law got something veggie as a main course. THEY LOVED IT! My daughter that crinkled her nose at the mere mention of Indian food has had Indian food several times lately. When we decided to leave Burger Republic the other night - she suggested an Indian restaurant around the corner - it was delicious as well. My wife and I went just this last Friday night to Curry House - we were the only diners at around 6:00 although there were several to-go orders while we were there. PEOPLE - as much as I like the attentive service being the only customers - give this place a try! I have not had the buffet, but you don't get to personalize the spice level which to me is tantamount to a great Indian dish. If they close because you did not take my advice - you are on my list.... I'm not sure how this place is held in such high regard, or why so many reviews said they enjoyed the spice levels. Because I've had Sprite spicier than everything I've tried on their menu. And I've given this place ample (as in five times) chances to redeem themselves. The staff was always kind and attentive and that's about the only redeeming quality of the restaurant. I just don't know what's going on in that kitchen, but it's not what you want. I really was hopeful for some good Indian food closer to home. Best drive to Murfreesboro for Clay Pit, Franklin for House of India or Taj in Nashville. Honorable mention to ExoTikka in Antioch too. read more

This restaurant has some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten. It is by far the best in this area for sure. It has become my favorite to eat. The Samosa's are the best. I picked up my takeout from here at 5:55pm. It is 6:30, I haven't even finished eating, but I needed to sit down and write out a five star review for Curry House. Regarding the food: my order consisted of chicken korma with mild spice, saag aloo (spinach with potatoes, spices, and garlic) and garlic naan. Every single bite has been delicious. The chicken holds its shape in the sauce but is still tender and the spice level is perfect. My toddler even enjoyed the saag aloo with me, and the naan is divine. Service was prompt, I arrived slightly after the 15 minutes they said it would take and my food was still hot when I got home 10 minutes later. The only weird thing was how empty the restaurant was. There weren't any other customers waiting on takeout or dining in, which I think needs to change. If you were unsure about trying Curry House, do it now. Tonight. Whenever. Got take out on Sunday and ordered a couple of different dishes. The best part was the onion kulcha and the tandoori chicken. The tandoori was very moist and flavorful which I usually don't like because it's too dry. The veggie samosas were also good. We got a few sauces and none of them were really good. The onion chutney was bland and the tamarind was odd and creamy which I thought was strange. We got a shrimp dish with zero flavor and the shrimp were way over cooked and a chicken dish that was ok.
