Hot and Sour Cucumber with cilantro and peanuts with a spicy marinade.
    Benjamin S.

I was just amazed when I went here for a quick lunch with my wife yesterday. I had previously gotten takeout of beef brisket in tomato broth, which was delicious, but today we enjoyed their dim sum. Hands down, this was the best dim sum I have had anywhere in Middle Tennessee. Growing up in Houston, Texas, my family and I often went out for Dim Sum at a local family-owned restaurant. While slightly superior due to greater variety, Ten Seconds Rice Noodles is just as good in quality. This hidden gem is a new favorite in Murfreesboro's quaint little shopping center. The staff helps answer questions and make recommendations, and the service is prompt with delicious results. I had the steamed shrimp dumplings, crab rangoons, hot and sour cucumber, and vegetable spring rolls. Everything is delicious and steamed fresh. I am also fairly certain it is all homemade. The crab rangoons are amongst the best I have had, with a very well-balanced filling, at least for my tastes. While I won't count it as a mistake, as we didn't think to ask, it would be appreciated if they labeled items on their menu that contain nuts and peanuts, which is an easy fix.

This restaurant was very quiet when my dad and I dined in, it was overcast outside and we'd wanted a good pick me up before heading back home for a 8 hour drive. The lady that seated us and took our order was super sweet and personal, explaining the menu and the process of everything in depth, and cleared dishes throughout our service to keep our table tidy. For starters, we ordered the chicken gyoza and their fried dumplings. Both of which were quite delicious, cooked as expected, which is, very well! When it came to entrees, I ordered the golden soup with sliced beef, which is brought firstly on a big platter of ingredients along with a bunch of other knick-knacks to throw in the pot. I've not had much of this style of noodles, but as an avid ramen enjoyer, I had to dive into this experience. The pots were brought, and the ingredients were dumped. There's a lovely aroma of deliciousness that fills the air after the ingredients settle into the broth, making it even more enticing to take the dive. Being the first time I'd had a broth based around pumpkin and ginger, I was very fond of the flavor profile that came of it. Being a little spicy but with a nice sour punch, it was the exact thing I needed to warm my stomach up and allow for a calm long drive home. My only gripe with the sliced beef was that it doesn't really cook the best in the pot, which could be situational, but probably makes it hard for guests to receive a consistent experience with the protein choice. I wouldn't mind being brought the sliced beef with the pot, already cooked. The biggest reason I give this place such a high regard is not because the quality is absolutely phenomenal, but it's the fact that it really wasn't expensive. Our experience here was very cheap compared to what I'm used to in the Charleston restaurant market, and the food that I received for this lower price exceeded my expectations for what they charge. Give this place a try if you're either new to the area or passing through! Definitely worth the pick-up.

Not a bad spot at all! We came around lunch time on a Friday and got seated right away. The staff was really nice and friendly. I thought I was going to come try their dim sum, but I decided to try something I've never had before. I chose to try their noodle bowl. I chose the tomato beef brisket bowl and I really liked it. The brisket was very tender. The brisket, noodles, and a tray of other sides/garnishments came out on the side and you pretty much just drop it into the simmering bowl when the bowl comes out. I honestly liked it more than I expected myself to. I'm glad I tried it. The broth was very tasty and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The noodles weren't overcooked or undercooked. They were really quick with everything. We didn't wait long at all for anything. They did really good for their tech time. In all, I had a pretty good experience and will be back to try other items.

What an awesome experience. After seeing a different review from the Murfreesboro guy, I had a friend reach out to say this looks like a place that you need to try for Yelp so off we went. I'm not gonna lie. It's a little intimidating but such a neat experience. Now, fishing for the noodles.... be prepared this takes a little bit to get used to however, our wait staff was amazing and talked me through the whole process. The spring roll was really yummy and the sauce was fantastic. I did get to try a little bit of the chicken fried rice also a solid choice but I felt like if you're going to Ten second noodles then you need the full experience. I went with the golden noodle soup, and I love spicy things, but this would not be for somebody not committed to spice. And they have a chart with the spice levels listed don't try and be a sheriff. It is beautifully decorated and it was very quiet when we went. Definitely go check this out if you're looking for a fun night out with friends or loved ones .

I dined at Ten Seconds Rice Noodles on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 5:30 pm. Disclaimer: This review is based solely on the small dishes/dim sum and not on the signature noodle items that this restaurant is known for. After dining here, it's really difficult not to write a critical review after having tasted better dim sum in many major cities with a strong Chinese presence. I can only applaud that this restaurant is offering more to Murfreesboro in terms of diverse ethnic cuisines, but even by Murfreesboro standards I thought it was below average. If a restaurant is going to offer a dim sum section on the menu, I expect everything to be made fresh. The shrimp dumplings and the shrimp rice noodle rolls tasted exactly they came from a frozen bag one could get in the frozen aisle of an Asian grocery store. Super disappointed! The spicy jellyfish and cold cucumbers had too much peanuts. The jellyfish was crunchy and not the soft texture that is traditionally served. The color of the jellyfish was also darker than what I saw in the picture on their website. On the other hand, the cucumbers were mushy and are ideally supposed to be crunchy. The only dishes that were good were the lamb and squid skewers. Those skewers had nice flavors. Service was good - attentive and professional. If I were to ever return, which is highly unlikely, I would not order the steamed dim sum dishes. This was probably the worst dim sum I ever had.

Ok so I went twice already and delayed my posting. The food and service were great both times but on the first go around they didn't have everything we wanted to try available. As for the second time, they had everything and so we tried everything we wanted. It was very good and the staff was very helpful in their honest opinions on the food we wanted to order. We strayed from our typical types of food, which is dim sum and soup and tried the noodle bowls. Let me tell don't say no. Try it! We ended up finding our new favorite dishes. The inside was very well designed and in a way you didn't feel like you're on a main road in a metro area having your meal. I like their location. Its definitely a cute restaurant. I was craving it after I left so I know I'll be back again.

I love this restaurant! The food, the vibes, the staff are all exceptional. They have traditional Chinese food as well as takeout classics. I've been here several times and have yet to find anything to complain about. I've tried the yunnan noodles and it's so good. The broth is flavorful and who doesn't like a simmering pot of broth with fresh toppings?! If you go on Thursday you get unlimited noods! Lol, this time I tried the Singapore chow mein fun (pictured)!

They haven't been opened long, but decided to see how a late lunch would pan out. Ordered the egg rolls, chicken with rice noodles, and a mango milk tea. The egg rolls were good, very crispy...but good outer shell. The Mango Tea was good, not overly sweet, and a nice mango flavor. The chicken w/rice noodles was good but nothing impressed me about the dish. The broth is weak and lacked flavor, the chicken bland, and they should chop the vegetables down a bit as some of the Bok choy was quite long. Service was good and the place looks great.

We came here with our big family -- including our 3-month-old baby -- and had a wonderful dinner experience! The restaurant is super clean, spacious, and surprisingly baby-friendly. They kindly helped us find a seat with more space for our stroller, and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming for families like ours. We ordered two different rice noodle sets with beef brisket -- the tomato and mushroom broths were both delicious and full of flavor. The meat was tender, and the ingredients were fresh and nicely presented. We also enjoyed the dumplings and shrimp rice rolls -- everything was served hot and tasted homemade. For dessert, the fruit and boba bowl was colorful and refreshing -- even the adults loved it! It's not easy to find a place that's both authentic and comfortable for families with small children, but Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles really impressed us. We'll definitely come back again!

We love Asian food and didn't know what to expect at Ten Seconds...we were tickled to pieces by everything! The owner was there and was so kind to us and took super good care of us, especially when I figured out there was a shaved ice fruit option! He made us a special treat and let us name it - so we did, after our grandbaby being born tonight! Waylen's Wonder! I'm so excited this place is open and can't wait to bring our family back!

Ambience: calm, music at the right volume and not too loud or obnoxious. Clean and spacious eating area. Clean tables and chairs. Customer service: great! Our waitress, Day, was very pleasant and took time explaining menu items and helped with recommendations. She came by to check often if we needed anything and offered the to-go bag. We ordered popcorn chicken with dipping sauce as an appetizer. That was crunchy, fresh and tasty. The Kimchi with beef brisket rice noodle soup came with tiny side dishes that we added to the soup. The broth came boiling hot, very fresh and delicious. The Szechuan hot pot rice noodle was not to my liking. I don't think it's the chef's fault but it's because it is not my preference. It was very herbaceous tasting and an ingredient they used made my tongue tingle. I let the waitress know when she came to ask how everything was. Unbeknownst to me, owner was informed and they offered to make a new soup or remove the charge from my total bill! That was super sweet and unexpected. Thank you! I will definitely be coming back to try their dim sum items and other noodle soup dishes. Oh! The milk tea with boba was superb! 4 stars only because I didn't like the soup that I ordered. Otherwise, I'd give it 5 stars.

I truly loved everything about our experience at Ten Second Rice Noodles. We split the takoyaki, Pearled pork meatballs, squid skewers and shrimp rice noodle roll. All of the apps/dim sum were a perfect portion for 2. The sauce on the squid skewers was aamazing! The pearled pork meatballs were the most unique option and we loved them. We also split a bowl of golden hot and sour soup. The broth was the perfect level of spice and all of the additions were fantastic. The restaurant was clean with nice lighting and the service was great. We were checked on multiple times and never had to ask for anything. I can't wait to go back and try more things, they have a very extensive menu. Murfreesboro is lucky to have this place.

Very friendly. I only had appetizers. They were fine, but not memorable. Sorting sizes were on the small side.

Second time going and service was still slow. The noodles were the only thing that's good. Dim sum portion was a bit small for the price.
