Please believe me when I say I had very high hopes for my purchase from Udderly Nuts! My husband and I were very excited to try our first order of a few of their peanut butters. My experience wasn't a very good one though. One star is pretty self explanatory, but going almost $100 in on peanut butter and not getting the product that was advertised is a HUGE let down when you give a small business with pretty expensive prices your hard earned money. I was incredibly excited to try this product since someone I follow on Instagram promotes them. My first order was over $60 for 4 jars of peanut butter. There's a 3-5 day processing period since the product is hand made, which is fine. While I was waiting on my first order, I placed a second order to try the Fall Bitty Butter Box. So, this place charges 2-day shipping with no other alternative but it took 4 days for the first order to arrive after being shipped out. Sure. Ok. I let it go. But when the order did finally arrive, 2 of the 4 jars' safety seals were broken. At first I only noticed one jar opened and I immediately contacted Udderly Nuts. I didn't hear back until a few hours later when I discovered the second unsealed jar and sent an email update as well as a request to cancel the Bitty Butter Box order I had just placed 2 days before. [It bears mentioning that when I discovered the unsealed jar of Happy Harvest (advertised as a honey roasted peanut butter base loaded with halved peanuts and candy corn) there were THREE PIECES of candy corn in it, and they were all the way at the bottom.] When I heard back from Stephen about an hour after the second email update, there was hardly accountability for sending out tampered food product and it was more of a "Oh wow, sh** happens, yeah?" kind of tone. As well, I was told that the order I had just placed could not be canceled due to the fact that it had already been packaged and labeled. USPS makes sure to give their customers full transparency so I could see when the shipping label was created, and it had *just been created in the time I was being sent an email saying the order couldn't be canceled because it was ready for pickup by the Post Office. Now, let's just go with that theory- that the order was already packaged so it couldn't be canceled. In order to make right on sending me unsafe product, the very least that should've been done was cancel the second order as requested because there was a very good, very valid reason. But instead, Udderly Nuts prefers to force sales rather than treat customers right. I let Stephen know how disappointing the response was, no refund or replacement necessary after all, and that I'd be writing a review detailing my experience. Here's the real plot twist: I had actually decided to let it go.......... until my second order with the Bitty Butter Box got here today. Included in the sample flavors was Monster Mash which was advertised as a dark chocolate peanut butter base with cherry mash candies. Just like Happy Harvest, this was falsely advertised. There are NO cherry candy pieces in this jar, and the jar was half air! Not even HALF the jar was filled with actual product! I haven't even opened the other jars except to check safety seals, but I'm not very hopeful these peanut butters will live up to their way overly-generous hype. The flavor isn't even that great where I can make good use of all of this expensive peanut butter. The peanut butter itself is mediocre at best. Maybe if the promised add-ins were present the flavor would be better, but I'll never know. Or maybe if I had thousands of followers on Instagram my order would've been prioritized and looked different. Who knows? What I do know is, sending out food product without a better kind of quality control is too reckless. This isn't a wall hanging, guys- - it's food for human consumption. Take it more seriously. And stop advertising falsely!! read more
