I'm not a huge milk shake fan, but I love Got Milkshake. I think a place that only deals in thick dairy drinks might just go under after a few months, it get boring. Got Milkshake is anything but. They appear to be turning anything they can put their finger on into a milkshake. I had a chocolate orange milkshake and it was phenomenal. It wasn't even on the menu (it should be), one of the staff was just playing around and put it up as a special. If you go to Queens and want a decidedly unhealthy, yet really fun lunch break, then this is the place.

This place is so cute! They do their own version of the infamous Hippy Shake from Jenz and they are really just as good! The main attraction here for me is the cupcakes! They're super scrummy and the flavours are really cool, love the bubblegum and the smarties! Last time I was in I had ta in a huge mug and a lovely smartie cupcake, and it's the only place I've been to for cupcakes where they give you a small fork to eat it with, which is great because of all the yummy icing on top! They also sell lots of little girlie cupcake themed trinkets which are really cute and would make nice gifts! Great place to chill out with a girlie mag or for a girlie chat!

These vegan ice creams are made from coconut milk and are completely dairy free plus they taste fantastic and exactly like a quality homemade ice cream instead of sorbet. I tried all 3 flavours of raspberry, mango and strawberry and enjoyed every morsel. Really luscious ice cream which was absolutely scrumptious and flavoursome. It's also great value for money as three large scoops cost £3 which is much cheaper than similar would cost in one of the many Froyo bars which have popped up in Belfast over the last couple of years. The Gent who served me was extremely helpful and knowledgeable explaining exactly what the vegan gelato was made from and telling me what Indigo offer. The menu is small but delightful offering ice cream, coffee, pastries and soup during cold weather. This little café which is larger inside than it looks outside has lovely bright décor and a relaxed ambience. It's ideal for a sunny day as the small outside seated area is a sun trap. Indigo is the true definition of hidden gem. I plan to return soon for coffee and more ice cream. There's free WiFi too which is always a bonus and beautiful artwork on the walls.

None appealing. Sort of defeats the point of this place being an ice cream shop. ********Love this place. It is one of my new fave places in Belfast. The ice cream is so on point. Tastes are very realistic. I had avocado and also sweet potato. So good. It's nice to have an alternative place to go instead of just going to get coffee. Especially as I am not a coffee drinker. Though I hear theirs is pretty good and also their tray bakes. Would be good if they had signs to tell you what flavours the ice cream was so the staff didn't have to tell everyone. Especially as I went to a tasting night. So the que was huge and that held it up. They have made good use of the size of the shop. Stretches right down the back. The price is good. 2 generous scoops for £2.50. Can't wait to return to try more flavours. They don't have a huge cabinet so it's gonna be hit and miss with the flavours on offer when I go. Fingers crossed they have the lotus biscuit and also the peanut butter and jam.

Spoon Street - Dairy free watermelon sorbet with fruit balls, quite frankly it's delicious...

Eventually it opened and became a welcome addition to the city centre. I worked my way around the flavours, generally only taking two of them or even just one. Of all the toppings, I only tend to go for blueberries (and occasionally, kiwi) and nuts. Actually, I don't really want a lot of the froyo because I'm as prone to headaches as I am with ice cream. No, I just want a little froyo as a topping for the blueberries and nuts. Now somebody mentioned spillage. Well, after a little experimentation, I soon realized that the thing to do is to put as much of the nuts and blueberries into the tub first and then literally squirt the froyo as a topping. If only the nut spillers referred to in the other review would do the same, there wouldn't be such a cross contamination risk as the froyo on top just sits there, unless of course you have too much for the size of the tub. I didn't do it today, though, as it doesn't make a very good photo that way.

I visited last week and thoroughly enjoyed it, trying the dairy free lemon (quite tarte) and watermelon (sweet tasting) options which the staff told me were dairy free because they are fruit based sorbets. These sorbets have a richer, creamier consistency than traditional sorbet, being more like whipped ice cream. All the usual toppings are available ranging from healthy fruits to sweets and chocolates. I did notice there seemed to be fewer flavour options in the city centre location than at Newtownards Road. Perhaps more seating space and less dispensing machines. I will definitely return, but as it's now October, it may be the summer months before I visit this or any other frozen yogurt bar again. The novelty of frozen yogurt is beginning to wear off a bit for me. Also who wants to eat such cold food during icy winter months?! Fabulous when summer sun is shining, but possibly not an all year round activity. Maybe they should diversify into mulled wine over winter time...

Promises that is…read more I think I'll divide this review in two - one for the actual ice-cream itself, and one for this parlour. Just to make things a wee but easier. Here goes... Barnams isn't my favourite ice-cream, but it's definitely good stuff. There is a huge range of flavours - blue bubblegum, orange crunch (orange-coloured of course), neon yellow banana, as well as your more 'normal' flavours of vanilla, chocolate etc. You can get tubs, cones, fancy wafery things, sauces, waffles and much, much more, and the prices aren't too high. Sounds good, eh? Popping into Barnam's World of Ice Cream yesterday was an absolute must, and apparently the whole world and his dog had the same thought. Well, world and his child in this case... We waited patiently behind a multitude of screeching children who were selecting their ice-creams. One little girl was given her ice cream cone wrapped in greaseproof paper, which she didn't appreciate at all. "Muuuuuummmmmmy!", she screamed, "I don't want the paaaaaappppeeerrrr!!". Oh dear, oh dear. By the time all this drama was over, I was well ready for my tub of chocolate and Belgian chocolate. Or so I thought! I ended up not even being able to eat it all. Oh dear, oh dear (again). Just warning you...but the ice-cream ain't bad. At all.

Mainly for the awesome selection of flavours they have, the bubblegum is really nice as is the chocolate (shock horror). The only downside is that with Ice cream parlours comes screaming children. The spoilt brats of the Lisburn and Malone road residents are awful. My solution? Call in when they're at school and enjoy the wonder that is Barnams Ice Cream!

We both had the slow roast beef with red wine jus. It broke apart on the fork touching it. Flavours were amazing and beautifully presented. For dessert I had a lemon and blackberry panna cotta with homemade shortbread. My mum had the apple crumble with clotted ice cream. We had a taste of each other's, but they were both delicious. I was almost tempted to ask for another dessert just to be greedy lol Overall. The service was good. Excellent food, great atmosphere and nice surroundings. Will definitely be back here before next week is out. Prices are also very reasonable for the type of food. Another excellent lunch here today. The food is so nice we've booked a table again for Wednesday. Can't wait to go back.

This is a review I did in June…read more "Simple definitions of Latitude are a parallel and horizontal grid line on a map and freedom of action and thought. With Latitude Restaurant, the team of Akhil (front of house) and Amit (Head Chef), really have brought East and West together perfectly well and have fulfilled both the above definitions. Latitude (formerly Lolita), is in the leafy suburbs of Stranmillis residing at 66 Stranmillis Road, Belfast. It opened earlier this year in February. My wife and I decided to give it a try and chose Latitude as it really offered a true fusion between East and West cuisine. With the two little ones dropped off with grandparents it was our wee date night. We arrived around 6.30 pm last Friday evening (17th June) and ascended our stairway to heaven. The first thing that struck us was that there was lots of natural light and the signage was very elegant. When we entered the dining area it was a compact sized and nicely decorated dining area, holding 50 people comfortably, without being too obtrusive. Our waitress had the biggest smile I've seen for a while and was extremely welcoming. She seated us and took our drinks order. We started with sparkling water whilst we perused the wine and main menu. The wine menu was very extensive and offered wines of all calibre. We opted for the 2013 Rooks Lane Shiraz from Australia. This was presented to us by Akhil himself. A note on the menu, it's great to see the whole menu on one page albeit a rather large one!! We opted for a starter each and a main course each. For starters I chose Prawn Gratinee and my wife had the calamari. This came out after about ten minutes and was piping hot. The 4 King Prawns were served in a Spanish mini paella dish with warmed bread, wedge of lemon and on a square plate. My wife chose the calamari, which were breaded and served on a metal ladle holder with a green salad, wedge of lemon and garlic mayo all on a slate. My prawns were in garlic, chilli, wine and tomato sauce and all the flavours were discernible. The calamari was soft and perfectly cooked-not rubbery and the taste of garlic lemon really came through. Now I do prefer my food on white round plates but alas the slate and black square plate did not detract from the delicious starters. After about ten minutes of just chilling and relaxing, enjoying the wine (my wife was drinking as I was driving!!) our main courses arrived. My wife went for the Mushroom linguine and I the Grilled Chicken Supreme - with a twist...... The mushroom tagliatelle came out on a huge bowl and looked and smelt divine. I ordered the chicken but changed a few things. I substituted the bacon mash for garlic potatoes and the tarragon sauce for pepper sauce. Suffice to say my two substitutions were definite game changers. The garlic potatoes were certainly garlicky but had an Eastern touch mainly that they were cooked with a touch of spice- turmeric and cumin. This is a true fusion twist which worked so well on traditional garlic potatoes. The mushroom linguine was creamy and plenty of umami taste and the truffle oil was subtly present. We had little room left for the mouth watering desserts (indeed had to take the remnants of the linguine home). We did squeeze a regular coffee and a Bailey's coffee to finish the evening off. In summary the restaurant is very relaxed and the staff are attentive, I still cannot believe we spent nearly 3 hours there! We had all of this for just over £65. This is definitely a great place where East meets West. Latitude also have a private function room with a capacity of 50-60 people where you can have for free, but have food packages per person to suit your needs."
