Ms Jennifer is a Godsend! My 3 year old son has been working with Ms. Jennifer for about a year…read morenow. (Backstory: I was very intentional about finding speech therapy services for my son because I could no longer wait for Regional Center to find a vendor). As such, I came across Pawsitive Speech Therapy on Yelp and felt compelled to reach out after reading the good reviews about Jennifer's services. We had a consultation, and began weekly services shortly after. My son really enjoys Pawsitive Speech and loves playing with Ms. Jennifer! She provides a fun, warm and welcoming environment that is comfortable for the kids and is passionate about the speech development of her clients. She gives each child her full attention during session, and has so much patience! You can tell she really tailors her therapy to the specific needs of each child. It's not a one size fits all. Her love , dedication and parent tips has really helped my sons growth. I am so thankful for Pawsitive Speech therapy. This has been a blessing to us. I encourage all concerned parents to reach out for a consultation if you are having concerns regarding your child's speech delays, or if you're tired of waiting on insurance to find a provider for you. This was the best decision I could have made for my son. Thank you Ms Jennifer!

In our search for a speech therapist as a mom of a 2 year old boy, I found that many of the…read moreproviders covered by PPO insurance had 6-12 month long waitlists. The ones that don't give real...dmv vibes. My husband and I explored about 10+ providers (some covered by insurance and some not...lynne alba, learning tree, OC speech, etc.) between Long Beach and Orange County. What we learned is: 1. Choose a provider that wants you (mom and dad) involved in the process. Sessions build the foundation and it then can be enforced at home 2. Choose a provider that isn't overloaded with clients so you can get a higher quality of care 3. Kids want to talk when they're excited so a dog for example can really help break the ice and allow your child to open up. That said, our experience with Jen has been phenomenal! She truly cares about my son and she's a mom herself so she knows how family dynamics can be and is understanding of that. She keeps us involved and truly goes above and beyond. This past halloween she coordinated a trick-or-treat tour with the nearby offices for her kids to have fun with! She challenges my son so that he is constantly moving to the next level with his speech. The dog Francis is such a great helper! Sometimes the dog does nothing but stick by my son's side and that is enough and we love it. Take a chance on Jen, you will gain confidence in her services very fast especially in comparison to anyone else out there!

We've been coming to OC Speech Services for over a year now, and I'm so thankful we found them. My…read moreson receives both OT and speech therapy here, and it's been amazing to see how much he's grown since starting. We've had the opportunity to work with several wonderful therapists, and we're grateful for all of them. I'd also like to mention his speech therapists, Ms. Dana and Ms. Jena, and Mr. Joseph (OT therapist) to who have been such an important part of his progress. They've taken the time to get to know my son, incorporate his interests into each session, and keep him engaged and motivated to learn. They also do a great job keeping us involved by sharing his progress after each session and giving us ideas for what we can continue working on at home. Watching my son grow in his communication skills has been incredibly rewarding. We know that progress didn't happen overnight, and we're so grateful for the patience, encouragement, and dedication his therapists have shown him. We're so thankful we found OC Speech Services and couldn't ask for a better team to be part of my son's journey.

Her speech intelligibility has improved tremendously, and her confidence has grown along with it. Her dedication and genuine care played a huge role in Lucille's progress. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done and highly recommend her.

Long overdue review of Chatterbox. It's been about a year since we left Chatterbox, but I'm very…read morethankful for the services that they provided to my son. When my son was 3 years old, I brought him to Chatterbox since he was no longer developing verbally. In fact, he had regressed badly in preschool, and was largely not verbal there during the day. We later had him diagnosed with autism (ASD), and were able to pursue other services, but at the time, all we had was Chatterbox. After the initial intake with Courtney, he was accepted as a patient, and we got on the schedule pretty quickly. I don't believe it is this available or open normally, so I guess we got lucky. We set goals and we were coming to Chatterbox for 30 minute sessions (really 25 minutes) twice a week. We worked on some basic things, but given the later ASD diagnosis, we did what we could here. The end result was that after almost a year, he was verbal again and we met some of our goals. I didn't mind continuing with Chatterbox, but by that point, my son's needs were greater in other areas, so most of his time afterschool was allocated to behavior therapy instead. All in all, we are very thankful for the services that Chatterbox provided. Eternally grateful for the services delivered by Marina, Denny, Amanda, and Jenn. Also thankful to Priscilla for being great to work with from a scheduling and administrative perspective. Anyone who comes here will know right away that the parking lot is comical. The entrance on Cherry actually features bi-directional traffic, even though it's only wide enough for a single vehicle. If I do manage to get in this way, I'll do a quick pass through the lot, and if no spots, I'll make a right in the alleyway and another right on Reagan St., then another right back onto Katella, where there is usually street parking in front of the dentist.

When I finally called for an update, I was casually told that his authorization had expired and we had to start all over again. Does management understand how heartbreaking and damaging this is for parents of children with autism? Six months of time wasted, with no warning or communication. Does the owner have the decency to review our documents and restore our son's place in the queue? Our children deserve better than this. Families deserve communication, accountability, and compassion. Based on this experience, I would never recommend this facility to parents of children with autism.
