I really like Foxtail and how successful they have been in expanding across our city, yet forking out $5 for a coffee always makes me reminisce of the days of $1 coffee cup, and by default, to diner culture. I mean, we all have a different view of "Make 'merica Great Again", and for me it deals with our diner culture, which is very similar to the British pub (Ireland + Wales + Scotland + England) and the idea of a place where a community meets. How come we lost our diner culture? I know some of you are thinking that it was replaced with the coffee house, but if you can point me to a coffee house that serves $1 coffee, then I may tie my idea of what "Great" means to an actual place. Community building is not that simple after all, especially when you purposely leave some members outside, like the poor, the homeless, the diseased, even the not "cool" or working class. But this place is accommodating to those that can afford it. There are some food items, now they make oatmeal lattes if you want to go vegan, I think I saw one vegan option in the food menu (can't remember honestly), there are plenty of products for purchase (they are great at merchandising), there is plenty of sitting space, it is an oasis when not busy, which is almost always. I like this place to be one of my splurge moments and places, honestly. And I always by their coffee beans, so, there you go. One last thing: if you are an eccentric coffee drinker, I recommend using Foxtail's coffee beans in a French press. Amazing flavor!

Really nice coffee shop. Great environment, nice variety of teas! Right in campus & you can sit and get your work done at any of the tables.

Solid upgrade to the UCF bookstore. My wife and I needed to drop off a package and had to kill some time so we hopped on a Lime Bike and rode to get some coffee. This was our first time at a Foxtail location and we loved it. The rustic decor and country music gave the seating area a cozy vibe that makes for a relaxing setting. The menu includes experimental drinks that sounded interesting but a little out there for us to try. We opted for an iced latte with mocha and a warm latte with caramel. We also tried a ham quiche and vegan chocolate chip cookie. The drinks were on point with flavor and temperature. Starbucks lattes tend to burn my tongue off but this one was perfect. Also, the mocha in our iced latte was delicious. The ham quiche was great as well. The crust was flaky and warm. The cookie was a great end to our breakfast. The dark chocolate chunks were delicious explosions of sweet paired with the salt sprinkled on the cookie. Watch out Starbucks, we will be back!

Friendly staff, beautiful location, delicious coffee. Just wish an americano could be made as larger than a 10oz. Four stars because I asked for my drink to stay and was given a to-go cup. I really don't like using single-use plastic and this was a let down for me. Loved the drink though.

WAY better update in the bookstore! Super knowledgeable baristas who are sweet and funny. I got a walkthrough of all the sources of coffee. There is a really fun part of the menu- it's called The Experimental Coffee Bar, the menu board all the way left! I ended up grabbing an Americola. Bubbly, and absolutely fantastic, I dipped away while hacking at some emails at theses super sweet standing bar tables.

Awesome coffee and pastries! I love coming here to just hang out or even study.

My favorite place to get coffee and play trivia every week. Everyone who works here is great and all the drinks are just how you want it.

Very fresh bakery items. Very good latte, not too sweet. Fresh, modern ambiance. From Seattle and rank it top with home local coffee shops

The server was kind and asked after if my items were up to standard, and everything tasted great to me. *Not pictured I ordered one baklava from the bakery there and the phone did not eat first, it was great and bite sized and I'll try to get a pic next time. First as soon as you go through the door you can tell this is a place that cares about your experience. Brightly lit and beautifully decorated, everyone that was there seemed very relaxed as if they had checked their stress at the door, event though some seemed to be working. After being thoroughly tempted by the large selection of treats, my wife locked in on her pistachio selections which she loved. The cheesecake was sweet and creamy and the late was just the right amount of sweet with a silky texture. I asked for the Turkish experience, i may have sounded a bit ignorant, but they kindly humored me. As you can tell by the pictures I fell in love with the presentation, the tray, the cup the details all of it. Then came the tasting. The warm bitterness of the hits first with the warm, perfect for a black coffee lover like me, then as you breathe out you feel the aromatic flavor of the cardamom. It may take a couple of sips to appreciate it but it is fantastic. The fruit tart had a very pleasing texture, crunchy crust and moist creamy tart top. great compliment to the coffee. It is a unique experience that we will definitely revisit.

But be aware that is can be super addicting!!! Have them toast it for you! My other favorite was the egg tarts, the lightness and crispy edges were so yummy!! one perfect bite or maybe 2! The cinnamon roll was also a good pastry! Just enough sweetest and texture. If you are into the savory side, the ube custard crumb bun was actually a subtle choice, you can taste the ube. Their pistachio iced latte was also delish. We also got to try the tiramisu iced latte. 1 Bacon Shokupan Egg Sandwich, this had a lot of egg filling, also a great choice, I was super full from all the pastries so I'll have the other options when I'm back in town! And what caught my eye when doomscrolling through instagram and skimming through my apps for recommended food places were their sandwiches and pastries. They are as beautiful in person as they are in the pictures. One thing I can't infer from a picture very well is the size. And let me tell you, that sandwich was pretty massive. It's larger than some of the burgers I've been trying out lately in the area, so you get every bang out of your buck. I got the Beef Bugolgi Shokupan Sandwich, which was bursting with a generous serving of beef and a really large, soft, fluffy scrambled egg, all packed between 2 super thick and pillowy buttery toasted bread. I also got the Pork Belly Bao, which I honestly like better than the sandwich. The bao buns are super fluffy, and the pork belly slices are perfectly thick sliced and flavorful. It's a great menu item to get if you want to share with another person since it comes with 2 servings per order. For dessert, I struggled a bit to pick and choose, haha. Of course I couldn't just pick one, but I am a little proud of myself for only selecting 2 instead of a whole entire box. From the pastry case, I picked the custard donut, which was soft, chewy, and stuffed to bursting with a pudding-like filling. And from the cake case, I got the Raspberry mousse. I couldn't resist that glass-like ruby red skin. But unfortunately, it was too tart for my taste. There's a lot on the menu that I can't try in just one visit, so I'm definitely bound to come back again.

I was in the area visiting family and wanted to grab some coffee before the road trip home to South Florida. A local business is better than a Starbucks. Bonus is it's my favorite bakery in Orlando so I'm here for it. This Light on the Sugar is located next to the Regal Cinemas in Waterford Lakes. Squished between Charley's Philly Cheesesteaks and Zen Dumplings. What I dislike about this location is the wooden gazebo they built directly in front of these stores. It totally hides the name of the stores and it's not appealing. This made it hard to find too. They should honestly get rid of the gazebos, these poor stores may be losing potential business because people can't locate it. This bakery is the smallest one compared to the original two locations I've been to. It's ok because they still sell most of the same items, just less of a selection due to limited space. They offer the popular cream puffs, pastries, tarts, merch and drinks. On this particular day, I only got the Pistachio Latte and an Americano. My husband likes a good simple coffee with no bells and whistles. The other stuff is too much for him. Ha. I really debated getting pastries for the road but I was just at the Winter Park location yesterday and got an assortment so I was good on pastries. My Pistachio Latte was good, but it was a tad on the sweet sweeter side. I had my husband mix some of his Americano with my latte so it balanced out a little bit more for both of us. All in all, nice new and intimate location with a few tables indoors and outdoors. I still prefer the other beautiful and more aesthetic locations. Good thing this bakery wasn't here when I lived here, I would be broke! Lol.
