A parking garage is in walking distance, I'm from Phoenix so I understand the parking situation when hanging downtown. Brunch specials offered during the day, late night pizza deals at night, can't lose. Simple menu and great staff, sat at the bar and ordered drinks and appetizers...delicious!! My favorite part of the bar...brace yourself...the ladies room! Yes I said it (if I trust the bathroom I trust the kitchen) clean and the biggest mirror I've seen in a bathroom! I ordered the white Russian, yummy! My other half had a whiskey mule, delicious! We had the beef nachos and wings....mmm mmm good, my fiancé is a chef and he loved the food. Wow. If you've ever watched Barstool Pizza reviews this would get a 8pt review. Here during Covid times on business with Michigan's Communist governess shutting down all restaurants and we got delivery. we got two pizzas and wish we got three. They were amazing. They are thin yet have a doughy taste. Not much crunch. Somewhat tough to chew also but the flavor is amazing. Sauce is great. Italian sausage and pepperoni are flavorful. read more

Hello fellow Yelpers, Unfortunately, I just spent my evening with my lovely girlfriend at Uccello's. I would like to start with the positives of my night before I begin to explain why you should not get the food that I got here. To begin, the environment is nice. A lively, colorful bar scene with a good energy. As I walked in, I was looking forward to sitting down and watching the game. Our waitress was pleasant and eager to serve us our meals. Overall, the restaurant itself is in nice condition, and aesthetically pleasing. Now, onto the negatives. We started with the calamari. Of the various different calamari's I've had in my life, I can undoubtedly say that Uccello's was the worst I have ever had. There was quite literally no flavor in every bite. The best part of the calamari dish was the olives... that is usually a bad sign if the compliments to the calamari are more enjoyable than the calamari. It was chewy, dry, and flavorless. I heavily debated sending it back, but I muscled through it. The lasagna that my girlfriend got was insulting horrible. You remember that graduation party you went to over the summer? That pasta that's been sitting in a heating tray outside for the last 6 hours...? That is exactly what this lasagna tastes like. I truthfully believe that if they brought out a slice frozen Stoffer's lasagna that it would have tasted better. It was appalling. I watched in sadness as my girlfriend ate the lasagna. I think I saw a tear roll down her face at one point. Now, my dish. I got the Chicken Gouda Flatbread. I would give it a solid 6/10. The chicken was cooked well and it was quite spicy, as expected. The potato chips served with it were nothing short of a failed science experiment. All in all, I will not be going back to Uccello's anytime soon. If you want a couple beers, this is your place. If you want authentic Italian food, you have a better chance finding it Olive Garden rather than this place. read more

I'm so happy to have this place downtown now! They have really great happy hour specials from 3-6 and working a later shift that works perfectly for me. No matter if I have gone at lunch and I am on a time crunch or gone after work I have had great service and great food! I'm slightly addicted to the turkey flatbread sandwich with potato chips. I'm not even a bit potato chip fan in general but theirs are really good! They have great happy hour specials, late night specials & daily specials. On a busy March Madness and St Pattys day, we had the best service by Austin! Ask for him always!

Consider paying a visit and you can maybe go for ice skating across the street! In the freezing cold weather, this place was a great place to sit down and grab a bite in downtown. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip along with the breadsticks. The breadsticks were pretty good, but the dip was excellent, not too heavy but still had the rich and satisfying consistency that all dips like these should have. I also ordered the Chicken Gouda Flatbread. It was great, but even after asking for no bacon in the sandwich, there was still bacon. (The server even said "no bacon" while setting my plate down, so that was a little odd.) My mom ordered the Tomato Basil Soup and it was the best she had ever had. Fries were hot and crispy. Despite the Italian name, this place is a sport's bar that happens to serve pizza and pasta. It is a long wall full of tv's with sport shows, so if you are thinking Italian, think again. I ordered the cheese ravioli in tomato sauce . It was served drowning in tomato sauce which no Italian restaurant would ever do. The sauce was so tooth-achingly sweet, it was inedible. I can't even imagine how much sugar was dumped into that sauce , but it was sweeter than some desserts I've had. I tried to scrap off as much as I could . I would skip anything with that sauce. My partner had a pasta with sausage dish, which was ok, but quite under seasoned. Mozzarella sticks were your garden variety what you would expect to get out of the frozen food section type of thing, so nothing remarkable there. What you won't find out until you sit down is that that add a 3% administrative fee, (this isn't part of the gratuity), to the bill because of rising costs. Well, if you need to raise your prices to stay in business do so, and be up front about it. I shouldn't have to do a calculation for every item to see how much it is really costing me. I consider this a deceptive practice and very off putting. When I buy a pair of shoes, I pay the price they say it is. They don't tell me when I go to pay, hey, shipping costs are higher so we are charging you an additional percentage to combat our higher costs. The price should be the price. Overall not impressed and see no reason to return. read more

Uccello's was once one of my top 5 restaurants in the downtown area of Grand Rapids. I was thrilled to move downtown so I could visit more frequently. Yesterday, my husband and I went for a celebratory lunch and I will not be back. First impression when pulling up the online menu was the announcement of a 3% fee that was to offset the increasing cost of products and services. I suggest if prices have risen and you need to increase cost to consumers, that you just increase your prices. Next, I ordered a cheeseburger, medium rare. It came out, after a LENGHTY wait, well done. Not having time to correct it, I said nothing, which was easy because our waitress was no where to be found. I finally had to ask for someone to find our server for our bill. She brought the bill and then stood there, watching me, while I got out cash to pay it for easy/quick exit. Not the celebratory experience we were hoping for. read more

Uccello's is the hidden gem that I always forget about. The downtown location is clean, has great service, and delicious food. Think modern sports bar Italian place. Great place for families, groups of friends, and the hungry singles. I love their pizza and the burgers are the best. I'm such a sucker for good pizza and cheap beer. I highly suggest joining their amazing rewards program. You receive points every time you go AND there is a promotion of $5 when you join! But Hannah why then did you only rate it 4 out of 5? Mom and I browsed the menu of every Italian restaurant in downtown Grand Rapids and ended up here! We were so happy with our decision, we will definitely have to return since there are many things on the menu that caught our eye and didn't get to try. Neither of us ordered a pasta dish though. The chicken entrees were perfect. Nice size portions, great value for the money. Food was flavorful and came out as expected. Our service was also terrific, even with a server who was in training. Lots of big TV screens make this place great to watch a game. However, the volume is turned up quite a bit, so you can expect it to be loud in there. Visiting from out of town and staying downtown and walked to Uccello's for a quick dinner. The food was great and the service was quick and friendly. We had a great experience! The spaghetti and meatballs was very good, meatballs were tender and the sauce was delicious and sweet. The stuffed chicken scallopine was also really good and a big portion. I ordered Lasagna, garlic bread and a salad was disappointed. Although, the lasagna was good it was barely warm and delivery between the restaurant and hotel was real close. I ordered a salad and it did not come with my Italian dressing that I requested; it didn't come with any dressing period. How can I give this place a bad rating. The bartender that night gave us a free round on him. We ended up tipping him the drinks because that was so nice of him. The service was amazing and the place was not busy at all. They do a late night special from 10pm to close, 9 inch pizza with 3 topping for $3.99. We did not see that until after we ordered but that is fine. The place was clean and several tables to sit at. They even looked like they had a private room for small parties.
