I was hesitant but thought since it was in the ghetto, people probably take off without paying so I went ahead and paid with cash. After an hour of watching him struggle with my phone, he hands me my phone and I leave. I get in my car and nothing worked. I go back in and the tech acted surprised to see me. By this point, I was upset so I just told him to get it fixed and I went back to wait in my car. About 20 minutes later he came out to my car. I had my window down from smoking a cigarette and he hands me my phone and said, "it's fixed." I tell him to wait while I examine my phone and of course, nothing worked. I hand him the phone again and he went back inside. 30 minutes later he comes out and tells me he needs more time to fix my phone and asked me to return tomorrow afternoon. I said no, just give me my phone and I'll take it somewhere else. He pleaded with me and said his manager was on his way over to help him fix my phone and promised me that the phone would be fixed by 7:30 PM the latest. BIG MISTAKE! I arrived back at the shop at 7:25. As I entered the store i can see that the manager has another phone screen attached to my red iPhone. He tells me that the home button is broken and they are attempting to somehow install the digital home screen button on my phone. Confused and at a lost for words, I asked why are you doing that? Just fix it. The manager, a Nigerian dude proceeded to tell me he cannot fix the broken home button that I broke and I stopped him and told him, No. My phone was working just fine when I brought it in. I told him to put my phone back together and return my money. He got aggressive and said I was not getting a refund after all the time they spent on my phone. I laughted and told him he was crazy because I brought in a working phone and i am not leaving with a broken phone. He then got out from behind the service stand and tried to fight me. I didn't have any way to call for help so I went outside and stopped a lady walking by to call the police for me and the manager ran up and locked the doors. With all the ICE protesting happening, the police never showed up so I drove to the police station and filed a theft report. See you in court.

Sams TV Repair - What it looked like before being fixed. This is supposed to be white. (Though the phone camera makes it look worse than it was.)

My three-year-old LG flatscreen TV suddenly would not turn on no matter what I tried, although the…read morered light was on and steady indicating it was getting power. I Googled local TV repair, and found Sam's. He guessed over the phone that it was a mainboard problem and would be about $140 to fix, to which he would apply the $40 diagnostic fee. I was able to take my TV in to him because it's only about 36". Sam called me later that day and said the TV was working fine and he could not replicate the problem. He kept it overnight to make sure, called LG (they said a connector was likely loose) and then went ahead and replaced the connector just in case. When I came to pick my TV up he was only going to charge me the $40 diagnostic fee. I asked how much the connector was and insisted on paying him the $20 for the part. He tried to refuse. My son said, "Seriously, just take it, dude, she gets what she wants." LOL. When have you EVER had to insist a repairman take payment for a part he installed?? I mean, he opened up my TV, tested the components, and replaced a part that was likely the problem! This guy is so honest. MY TV is now working perfectly. I highly recommend Sam's.

I did a google search and Sam was the only one who came up who wasn't a big box retailer who would never even answer their phone! I called him and he answered! He was very nice. We have to keep supporting these independent small businesses.
