Enough about his attire, his work is on point just as his fashion. So, we used his services back in 2020, the start of the You Know What. I was completely weirded out by someone coming to my home to repair my iPad. Not because of germs, because it was different. I'm used to going to a business, I thought it'd be awkward to have someone here doing his work in front of me. But no, he was cool. He arrived, did his work, was super chill, kinda quiet. Boom bam, he was done within minutes. This time around? Same thing. He repaired TWO items (yes, the iPad was back. Haha), and had told him to ignore the broken home button, that I'd get to that someday. What's awesome is that he surprisingly fixed it at no extra cost! I was like, awwwwww, how sweet of him. Both problems fixed - and a bonus repair - for a VERY good price. Honestly, he's my go-to guy now, I won't go anywhere else. I have provided screen recordings, screenshots, and have offered to provide any additional evidence necessary to address the tech issues I am having. Each time I am brushed off, told to change a setting (which I have changed all of the settings he has advised, changed all my passwords, used Authenticator apps, etc.) with no improvement. I feel he means well but assumes the issues I am having are me just inflating issues or not that these issues could not possibly happen to an average everyday person, this refusing to actually look at the problem for what it is.

Of course it was 2 weeks past the warranty date & of course neither HP or the warranty company would do anything. So, I went on a search for anyplace other than the "Geek Squad" to take my crappy HP to & see if it could be repaired. After reading multiple positive reviews on Yelp & Nextdoor about Laptop Repair & Duke, I decided to take the HP in to see what they could do. Duke told me how long it would be til he could get to it & actually did what he said he'd do! He called & said the diagnostics showed a hardware, not software issue. After further diagnosis, it showed I needed a completely new keyboard & touchpad. The price for the parts from HP was over $300 & Duke agreed with me that it wasn't worth putting that kind of money in it. I'm pretty good at basic electronic soldering but this repair was way above my pay grade! I could barely see the solder connections even with a magnifying glass. The R3 folks advertise "micro soldering", so I gave them a try. Within a couple days the repair was completed at a fair price, and my re-installed board works just like new. Not having to buy a replacement circuit board saved me over $200.
