Do not look any further. Seriously! Our lead mover, Corey Stout is AMAZING and has great attention to detail. He remembers every piece of furniture that was in the room at the origination point and duplicated that in our new home all without my direction. This is all in his head, and how he does it is amazing to watch. Corey explains everything from start to finish in minute detail, and everything is documented, mapped, itemized and photographed. The crew he has to help is incredible, and they really work their tail ends off. I had to ask them to stop,working to make sure they ate and had at least water so they didn't run out of gas. Otherwise they would have continued on shlepping heavy furniture up and down stairs and in the hot sun out to their truck. They worked their tail ends off, seriously! (We tipped very well too!) Lastly, this wasn't a local move. They moved us from Brownstown to Knoxville 500+ miles away. Nothing was broken or lost. Not a nut bolt or screw was missing. Every step of the way, Corey kept us informed and reassured everything was going well. At 8:30 AM, I got a call stating the movers had a quick one-hour job in Oak Park and would head to me immediately after. I was flexible and accommodating, but by 10:30 AM--nearly two hours past my window--no one had arrived. I called for an update and was told someone would call me right back. That callback never came. At 12:19 PM, I missed a call from an unrecognized 866 number. After checking the voicemail and realizing it was the moving company, I called back at 12:30 PM--just 11 minutes later. I was told the movers were wrapped up and en route. Another hour passed with no arrival. When I called back at 1:30 PM--now four and a half hours past my original window--I was informed that because I didn't answer within a 10-minute window, the movers had completely abandoned my job and dispatched to Ann Arbor on a college homecoming weekend. When I asked to speak with a manager, the representative refused to transfer me, offered no apology, and instead blamed me for their schedule--claiming their movers couldn't "sit around not getting paid," conveniently ignoring the fact that they were already hours late to my job. To make matters worse, she attempted a power play, telling me that if I didn't like it, I could just take a refund and not move today, knowing full well I had a strict move-in deadline. Instead of being held hostage by their appalling customer service, I immediately called Affordable Movers, who stepped up, arrived promptly, and completed my move the very same day. When I canceled with this company, they even attempted to withhold my refund. This company wasted my entire day, showed absolute contempt for my time, and delivered the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Save yourself the stress and take your business anywhere else. PLAY WITH SOMEBODY ELSE!

Exceptional work performed by these fellas over at the Royal Mover establishment. They have not…read morefailed me once and continue to put the competitors to shame with their exceptional work at the best price. Don't be fooled with the others low estimate because my buddy learned the hard way. The add on costs will take you far above the original estimate. This company did a move for a relative awhile back and although he did not get an estimate from Royak the hourly price quoted per hour along with a guesstimate by him have him a rough ball park of a price. And at first glance it would seem to be false advertisement by Royal claiming to be the cheapest rates in town. But he decided to go with them because of his previous recommendations. And as expected they were the cheapest!!! Comparing my buddy and relatives similar move and square footage the competition was $300 more after all the extra charges. I don't know how Royal Movers could improve in the initial quote to ensure they do indeed have the lowest price after all else is said and done but they need to figure something out because when you call it seems they are a little over priced?? Maybe posting receipts from the competitors along with a receipt from a similar job?? Whatever the case A+ service from a local company!
