Called a few weeks in advance and talked with the owner and asked if they offered that kind of service, just needing people to help take her stuff from her apartment and load the truck. We went through the details and he said yes, that he could have 2 guys there that morning and we confirmed price for 2 hours. I told him I'd be fine with the price and he made it a point to talk about how reliable his company is. He asked that I text him all the info that we had discussed and he'd send an invoice. I texted him all of the information and my email address and he sent a confirmation text saying he'd send me an invoice that afternoon. After a week, I still hadn't gotten an invoice so I reached out via text again. His response said he recalled our conversation, but that we never confirmed and he didn't have it on his calendar. I apologized saying I thought I had. So then he asked me for all the details for a FULL move from her apartment to our house and saying he's not sure how we could've discussed prices if I never gave him an itemized list for the move. He didn't need any itemized list since it wasn't going to be a full move. It's obvious he didn't remember the conversation and had probably even deleted our text thread with all of the info about how I only needed help loading a truck. I sent him a screenshot of him confirming all of the info and saying he'd send me an invoice and I told him I didn't want to do business with him because he had obviously forgotten, most likely deleted the conversation, and not followed through on anything. He responded that he apologized for the "scheduling mishap" which doesn't really cover the situation and said that if I'm "too devastated" then we wont' be doing business.
