Just outside the main service area is a self-mailing area that has P.O. boxes, materials, and a self-mailing kiosk.   That's not different from most post offices but I found this place to be spacious. You won't feel like you are rubbing elbows with someone if you're filling out postage forms. They had ample amount of priority mailing materials including labels, envelopes, and boxes. So it was well stocked.   The main area is much smaller and separated from the larger area with double swinging doors. I can imagine this area would not accommodate a long line. Luckily, we didn't have that problem. There were 2 lines open, 1 person just receiving packages, and 1 person actually assisting those in line. So 4 employees total. I don't know if this is how they normally do business but I hope it is. This was so helpful and made the line move very fast. I think all post offices should operate like this. I will be returning for my mailing needs.

But for a post office, it does the job! Inside was typical of most post office interiors with one fabulous exception: it had a bookcase full of books for patrons to take a book or leave a book! The staff is very talented, the boss is excellent and Mr. J. Turner, who waited on me today, is a delightful and resourceful staffer. I live in Clifton and I drive to the Warrenton DMV, do my DMV thing, have lunch on Main Street, buy a shirt at Britches, and drive back home in less time that it takes to do business at any of the aforementioned DMV Offices.
