With two toddlers in tow and a package that desperately needed mailing that day, I was frustrated to find that I ended up there the one hour they were closed. However, the employee on duty let us in anyway and mailed my package and even gave my kids bubbles as parting gifts! We spent an hour in the parking lot blowing bubbles in the wind. Super fun field trip to the little post office!

Honestly, since there are a lot of older folks that live in this town, I assume they don't want to drive their Lincolns to the next town to get their mail. It's not really that far from the next town but this office is still a gem and is very useful to the town's residents. It was actually pretty busy when I went. It was near Thanksgiving so that might explain it, or maybe since it was snow and ice people didn't have anything else better to do than go to the post office. This office is really small and everyone seems to know each other so it has that small town friendliness that you would assume would be present.

The post office itself is so super cute and rustic/old timey looking. There isn't a lot of parking but the town is small so you may even be able to park on the side of the road and walk up to the post office. The post office is combined with the general store and kind of reminds me somewhat of a community meeting place as people come and go to get their wares, mail packages, pick up snacks and fellowship with the others in the community. I also liked that you can see the water from the post office. There isn't a lot there structurally, but naturally it's just so quaint and homey.
