They have a safe place to hang out instead of running around out in the streets. Maybe once in a while they grab a book and that's great for the youth. The library is organized. The librarians are very helpful and nice. There are cute activities for the kids to do daily, from reading, coloring, playing with the felt, blocks, and hiding out in the tree house nook. There is a used book store inside that I'm dying to check out but always forget because they open on Mondays. There's computers to use on site and you can print papers if needed. There is a small playground outside to take the kids too. Please get a library card, it's never too late to read and never too late to encourage the youth to do the same!

I came here after school once and say in the teen area(where I should be) and a staff came over and told me to move to the kids section and she made a scen. She told me to leave or she was gonna have them escort me out and I told her that I infact was in the right place, luckily her co-worker told her to look me up in the system to find out I actually was. She didn't apologize though, she just insisting I looked to young to be my age which I thought was just not needed. That's only one of the few incidents that has happened.

I had the paper work to prove ownership as the previous post spoke of. So I went to tow it off her property. Cut to the chase. She called the unit. And now we get to the definition of cop out. Look it up. Sad to say they will sabotage the victim for sure. Although they finally let the tow truck in it was seriously all about my three attempts for resolution that they acted as if I was a nuisance. For having called three times in five months to acquire the property owned by me. Although they did come when the property owner called them. Cop out is the word. Shirk and avoid . I'm done sorry if you live there with this dismissive attitude. The' civil 'matter is the game they play.

The USS Nebraska's keel was laid down in May 26, 1987 ; it was launched on August 15, 1992 and commissioned on July 10, 1993. The sub is home to 1 of two crews for a typical deterrent mission under the MAD strategy for an average of 77 days. Each crew consists of ~17 officers, ~15 petty officers and ~122 enlisted men. The USS Nebraska has completed 18 deterrent missions as of September of 2010. This is the second Navy Ship to honor the State of Nebraska. Duty rotation for the crew is 18 hours with 6 hours at the primary duty station, ~6 hours of other duties. However, officers, however, typically are on for 14 hours or longer. This is the routine for the entire tour of duty. Aside from 24 Trident Ballistic missiles complete with MIRVs (Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicles), the sub features 4 forward torpedo tubes. 4 of the 18 Ohio class submarines are designed SSGNs and are equipped with cruise missiles instead of Trident Missiles. The tour allowed us to see the silos and torpedo bay including the control rooms for each. We also the Mess, the Ward room, the Petty Officers room, the berths of various personal and the bathrooms. The Control center and sonar rooms as well as misc machine rooms were part of the tour. The only areas pretty much off-limits to the friends and families touring the Nebraska was the engine room, nuclear reactor room and sail. We were treated to lunch which was 2 star food with 5 star service. During deployment, the kitchen is active 24/7 and the lunch we were served seemed to reflect what was served on board Kudos to the men (and soon woman) who go on watch on this sub. I know this library very well, and I read all of the reviews below, especially the negative ones…read more It breaks my heart, this place was a place of refuge for me. And there are a few different volunteers (it takes someone very unique to want to volunteer at a metaphysical library) so perhaps it was one of the not so socially aware human being. But the volunteer aka the librarian, is not what makes this library a gem in Seattle. It's the contents. After all let's not judge the book by it's cover =)...Also, if you were lucky and ran into Margarette while there, then you'd have a completely different experience of the library. She is a walking library herself, so full of amazing real life experiences through many decade bygone. I love spending time with her. Another point to keep in mind, is that being a metaphysical library it gets a lot of abuse from folks who don't like the idea of things non-mainstream. Be kind to these folks, they are sticking their necks out to hold the space for this information in physical form. You can find things on the webs for sure, but there is nothing like looking and touching the actual material. Loads of awesome books, and ya not for the tourists, it's for locals to join and support the library by membership and/or donations, there is no profit in this business. It's all by donation and love/care of folks that run it. And yes, many of them are very eccentric, still they are doing their best.

We had just spent our time in Ballard at Archie McPhee and a Cat Cafe (yeah, we paid to pet cats I am allergic to, shut up)...so this seemed like the next step. "There's an u-n-d-e-r-g-r-o-u-n-d metaphysical library listed and it's not far. It says it is in a basement, unmarked, and if there is a sign up about the fresh bread it's a signal it is open." Oh, now we're talking. We wandered around the eerily quiet old building for a moment, people poking heads out of their offices to see who was there. "Uh, we're looking for the stairs to the library if it's open" A man points, we continue on. We walk in to the space and eerily quiet takes on a whole new meaning. Ancient man set up in the middle. He appears to be the curator. As I looked at the stack upon stacks of books, laminated newspapers and actual research papers, I expected this man to rise from his seat and regale us for hours with tales of spiritual encounters and confess his membership in the illuminati...NOPE, barely a glance our direction. As we share the few feet of open space with him we spoke in a whisper as not to disturb his work. JFK conspiracy theories? Check Satanism? Check Area 51? Check When I say this place was cramped and cluttered, I mean there could have been a Tall Grey hiding in here and we wouldn't have found him. Richmond Beach Library has been my home library in the King County Library System (KCLS) for over…read more20 years, even before it was moved to its current location. This library was one of my home away from homes growing up and I could easily get lost in finding a good book, audio book, movie, comic, or encyclopedia. If the selection at the library didn't have what you were looking for you could put the item on hold (so long as you had a library card) and the holds system worked well. In all my years going here only one instance comes to mind where there was a mix up in the hold items and it was easily remedied. There is computer access for looking up items in the library itself as well as KCLS at large. I loved this library so much I volunteered here as a teenager, only furthering my love for the place. Happy it is still my home library!

I don't get a lot of mail so by the time I realized something was wrong mail had already been returned to sender. It completely messed up my stimulus check which has been 'stuck' in my irs account since then even after it was released and should have been sent, can't access my bank account without driving an hour because .y debit card was sent back. They also refused yo look into issues when packages said they were delivered but I never received them.
