this company was doing work on my neighbors house two doors down. evidentally one of their trucks was parked in front of my neighbors house right next door. there was no indication who the truck belonged to so i went to her side door and knocked on it. the two men in the other truck at the 2 doors down home started saying i was a nosey neighbor. my neighbors house is for sale and i didnt think she was home so i was checking to see if she was and was expecting someone to do some work there. these two men were rude and obnoxious and decided to give me the finger. i wouldnt ever have anyone like that working for me and representing my company if i were a reputable company because right off the bat there's a horrible impression of these two men and the people who run the company. evidentally its cheaper to get people like these two to do their work. unprofessional and very rude. i will never ever have this company do anything for me and i hope none of you do either read more

He used compressed air so he could be underwater for extended time, and he found the main leak was behind my spa light. Included in that fee I mentioned is a patch job. They could not guarantee it (sometimes they give a 90-day guarantee), but it's been a few weeks and still holding! I asked the technician his thoughts on the longevity, and he said he's seen/heard of some patch jobs holding up for years. Still, they also provided me with an estimate for a more in-depth / permanent fix in the final paperwork, which was also full of great detail. They also told me that they clear slow pool/spa drains! We had a recent pool renovation, and I think there's a bunch of debris down the drains/pipes, so I plan to have them back out soon for that. I see some people didn't have a great experience, but I'm happy to report that I did. I was literally adding at least an hour of water to the pool every 48 hours before this fix. They got me on the schedule quickly and were very detailed. I loved that and would recommend them for your pool leaks and clogs.

moved here 5 years ago...i thought we had a leak...did the bucket evaportion test..it was normal…read moreevaporation...good to go...bought a auto water refill device to keep the level at normal range...all was good for 4 years...recently i had to change the hose on the refill device..turned off the hose..next morning pool was down 5 inches!...the week before got a letter from hernando water company "you are using way more water than you neighbors"..sprinkler system overuse? nope...got a well...hmmmm...ok...must have a leak..read reviews..called leak wizard been around 60 yrs!...had a tech show up the next day..Austin, great guy completely explained the situation...did a sound test..then did an underwater dye test with a snuba compressor, mask and weight belt main drain...all good...pool light?...bingo! the dye was sucking thru that hole behind the light like a tornado..went back down sealed it up with 2 part epoxy... wham bam thank you ma'am! leak sealed.. problem solved in under 2 hours for a $329 fee...plus he gave me a bunch of tips for future pool resurfacing when we do a renovation someday. very happy with the results..fast service and i would highly recommend this company...yeah some reviews werent good...but sometimes you have to consider the source...2 sides to every story.. i usually go with a local company thats been around the LONGEST..because theres a reason for that.

A couple of weeks ago I signed up for the home pool service that included testing the water and…read morecleaning the pool, weekly, for $100 per month. I didn't think I needed to ask a lot of questions - pretty basic, test the water, clean the pool (I told them cleaning wasn't necessary since I use a robotic system). I had been using an automatic water tester that I didn't like (didn't include all the normal tests), tried test trips (low accuracy), tried the chemical kit that was delivered with the pool (not much better than test strips), and taking samples to Leslie or Pinch A Penny. Both of those companies ran very detailed tests. But I thought a weekly test conducted by Pinch A Penny would be more convenient so I signed up. First week someone comes by, tests the water using a portable chemical test (fill the vials with water, drop a solution in, shake, look a the colors against a chart) made adjustments to the salt chlorination unit. Shake the chemical vials seemed a bit strange but I didn't say anything. After 3 weeks, this morning I tried to get into Pinch A Penny website and see my weekly test reports - not at all successful. Went to their store this morning and asked to seem my results over the past 3 weeks. Not in the system, so I manager (?) came out to help. He said the results are "in the back" and asked for my address, phone number and name. Comes back with "you're ph was....." and nothing else. I asked how I can see my results. Basically, you can't - at least not electronically through their portal. You can see the ones where they tested water you brought to the store. They don't have a way to enter them into the system. They also don't email you a weekly report, etc. You also don't get any indication they came to your house, like a sticker on your door. Is this important? YES IT IS. In the first visit they used one of those fill the vials and shake test unit, not a portal device similar to what they have in the store. Warning bells went off. That caused explore testing units. Leslie has a home unit, just like the one they use in the store that you can subscribe to for $50 a month, photo below. It gives you the same results, actions to take, formatted and printable just like what they give you in the store. I used it 5 times over the past couple of weeks. The reports show I wasn't getting any benefit from Pinch A Penny testing at my house. And I mean no benefit at all that I could determine. That's why I wanted to see reports. Consider all of your options before signing up for this.

I have been coming to this store for the last 6 years and today will be the last time I ever go…read moreinto a pinch-a-penny. They have sold me the filters for my pool for the last 6 years and today they sold me the wrong one (little taller). I installed it and realized they sold me the wrong one. I go back to the store to get the correct one and the teller tells me that it's the one that shows in the system. I don't understand as they have been selling me the same filter for the last 6 years! They were ready to return it and I was going to give me the correct one and a older guy comes out of the back and said, "We can't return it since it is wet". Well of course it's wet its a pool filter. He was rude and didn't even offer a solution. I believe this is the manager/owner. He is a real piece of work and lost a customer for this location and pinch-a-penny. I would have been ok with a return stock fee or something like that, but this guy has zero customer service and does not know how to treat loyal customers.

Larry the owner was contacted. He angrily accused us of shutting off pool pump and adding too much water. He also said we could swim in it with the green algae. He never can out to look. We gave his pool tech 2 more visits hoping he would correct the problem but it didn't happen. So we had to fire them. When new service can out they fixed the problem but also stated pool filter must not have been back washed the whole time as it was like mud when they did it. I would not recommend them to anyone because if you have a problem with their service it must be you!

They had to remove a 6x6 post along with remnants of some other fence post that was here from long ago. They performed a very nice neat clean job. They showed up when they said they would and did exactly everything by the book which also means filing permits and arranging inspections which is always PITA. From the 3 bids I got they were not the most expensive nor the cheapest but what they were was responsive and followed through with their work which is rare to find a residential contractor like this in Florida. We got our estimate fast and were scheduled for our new fence a few months later. This delay was completely understandable considering how much damage there was in our area. On our scheduled date, two workers showed up on time and spent the better part of a day replacing our old wooden fence with a new, vinyl one. I can't say enough good things about the value, quality product, and customer service we received. They explained everything to me to make sure I understood before moving forward with any type of repairs, etc. When we had a leak in the pool, Pat came out twice to check on it, after hours..I was freaking out! The job was too big (needed SCUBA gear) and he gave us a great referral! We did move from Florida, and I recommended the new owners of our previous home to use Taylor's.
