I met the particularly rude and entitled owner of this small family-owned company once at my pool. He immediately lacked both professionalism and manners, was highly inappropriate and unapologetic throughout the whole interaction, and demanded to get answers to his questions on matters that were none of his business simply because he couldn't take being politely told he wasn't allowed to show up outside of the scheduled time frame he had been given and wasn't respecting. He proceeded to calling my property manager in retaliation, lying about my behavior and making it seem like the whole incident was on me being rude to him. The pool itself is supposed to be cleaned once a week but the worker he sends is systematically gone within less than 10 minutes and regularly leaves stuff at the bottom. I've also never seen them brush the pool walls or do any pump or filter maintenance. An independent pool inspector I contracted myself at some point told me the pool equipment was in bad shape, neglected and that this company is guilty of gross malpractice. read more

Had multiple employees this year and finally have had enough of seeing a less than clean pool. Last employee started two weeks ago. Her first day I discovered dirt on sides and bottom that came off with brush. Finally quit and when new sample of water was taken, the pool required five new bags of salt. Same reason I left last company and this was by design and not by accident. Hire these people at your own peril. read more

Hired Ron to do my pool. Big mistake. He showed up a few times, then left it to his inexperienced guys to do the rest. No show after only a few weeks. I noticed the pool looked horrible. So I checked on Ron and sent him the card he uses to log his work indicating no one has signed in for weeks. I call him and he basically tells me sorry, its hard to find good workers. He has too many big jobs to be bothered with this stuff. And maybe he should scale down because he doesnt have time for it? Seriously? I don't care about your business issues....I need my pool cleaned. The business owner telling me he has too much business to show up or do the job he is collecting on? Then insults me by sending me a check for half of a month back? But you just stopped showing and left me to do the work myself for the entire month. Terrible service and even worse owner. Would have been much easier to eat the issue he created and step up to handle it himself. All over $75? Wow. read more

We recently bought a new home with an in ground pool (no cage). I know basically nothing when it comes to taking care of a pool, since we've never owned one. So when we bought the home we hired a company (not going to mention the name) to take care of it prior to our moving in. Mind you, the pool was crystal clear when we first moved in. He person we hired checked it out the day we signed for the home. Three weeks later, the pool turned green, and at this point we had not added anything to it other than to clean the leaves out of it with the skimmer. My wife dealt with the guy primarily, so I had never met him. He calls me up and tells me that we need to add this and this and that, and then proceeds to tell me (three weeks later) that when he first tested the pool it was at toxic levels of chlorine. Wait what? You're just telling us now? Any ways, we fired that guy and finally met up with Ron from Ron Dons pool service and with in three days of starting work on our pool it was crystal clear again, and has stayed that way since going on two months of service. We recently moved out of state and put our house up for sale. We had always taken care of the pool ourselves, but we needed someone to maintain it while the house was up for sale. We first hired another company recommended by our Realtor, who then promptly broke a valve in our spa on their first trip to maintain the pool. After we fired that company and got the valve fixed, we hired Ron Don's Pool Service after reading the good reviews we saw about them on the internet. I dealt mostly with one of the owners, Donna, and she made sure that our pool was kept sparkling clean. Every week Donna would email pictures of the pool to me and let me know what chemicals were added, if water was added or drained, filter cleaned, etc. She also let me know if gates were left open, the yard was not being maintained and other similar things, which was way more than my Realtor or my yard person did for me during that time.
