Have an appointment? No problem... they will see you an hour or more after that time. No…read moreappointment, screw off........ Last month I had an appointment for my MacBook Air to get looked at because it wasn't charging and I've had it looked at 4 other times for the same issue when I lived in California. Was over an hour after my appointment time sitting there waiting to be seen. They used a few different chargers and cords to see if they could get it to charge. Turned out my battery was going bad and my charge port was bad. They said I needed to call Apple back to see what the solution was. So was a waste of 1.5 hours drive, then 2.5 hours there, then 1.5 hours drive home. Apple told me I would get a replacement within 2 weeks... a month later my laptop with boxes opened randomly showed up on my porch when there was no tracking info after Fedex dropped this off randomly at someone down the street. So today, we had an appointment at 2:45pm for them to look at my daughter's computer and see if they have a replacement charge port to be replaced. We came in first thing in the morning to see if they could look at it now and also I mentioned what was going on with my computer. I asked them if they can check if this is MY computer or if someone put their computer in the box and took my new one since both boxes were open. Nope. They wouldn't give us the time of day. They said I needed to make an appointment to check and that we had to come back for her appointment. I told them that in Cali I have done a walk in numerous times with no issues and they looked at it right away. Nope, they could care less. After this Apple had called me saying they still hadn't heard from Fedex on where my computer was. I told the guy I received a computer and it took him a whole 10 seconds to verify using the serial number that this indeed was my computer. But pathetic that the Apple Store was oh so inconvenienced to take 10 seconds out of their time to check. Especially since they had probably about 30 or more employees just hanging out around the store.

Ended up in here by chance & really pleased! The Mrs Rufus called Yours Truly up because she was…read morein a bind and her Chi got sideswiped by technology. Long pilgrimage short, she uses an iPhone4 to swipe credit cards for her business. The swiper is not like others that plug into any device. It is fit to a specific device (an iPhone 4 in this case). As we are forever tied together in matrimonial bliss, my Chi got tangled up in this Four Alarm Conundrum. Herein lies the rub ... the old iPhone is used via WiFi. It's technically no longer a phone. It is used merely to submit credit card & debit card transactions. So, now we have a device that is totally worthless but it has to be replaced with an iPhone 4. And no stinkin way am I payin full retail for a glorified iPod Touch. Of course the device dying and Mrs R. not being able to run charges is all my stinkin' fault! I mean, NATURALLY!! I'm never there, haven't touched the thing & you guessed it ... my fault. Ah, the joys of matrimony. As usual, I digress. Post ear gnawing and subsequent blood pressure hike, my Chi is toes up in the ditch. So, I think to myself, "Rufus, what the Fried Samosas are you gonna do to get this situation resolved, bring Mrs R. to bay and reclaim your Chi?" This is when I remembered this cell phone exchange business had opened on Bearden Hill. It's a nice, clean place between Soccer Taco and Pendergrass Shoe Repair. I was warmly welcomed by a nice man by the name of Ryan. I explained my situation to Ryan. He completely understood my situation and was able to help me find an affordable replacement. He was extremely knowledgeable (which is great b/c I'm tech deficient). I never felt like the idiot I am. They seem to have a wide selection of phones and smart devices. They buy, sell and trade the devices. I would encourage any & all to stop in if you need this service. As a side note, I was very impressed with something that happened when I was in the store waiting for my device to charge. A man came in wanting to sell his smart tablet. He had pulled up to the store with 2 other people in a dirty ass $300 jalopy that was on its last leg. It was quite apparent that they were all 3 hard up for cash. Ryan treated this man with the respect he was due. He was extremely polite and informed the man that his particular tablet was not in high demand (thus not worth a whole lot wholesale). He was very sympathetic to the man's situation. You could tell that the man appreciated Ryan's honesty and professionalism. Anyway, it was good to see people being treated well no matter their station in life.

All I wanted was a replacement for my iPhone 11, which developed a bad board after 5 years of faithful service. The price I paid at The Phone Exchange for a comparable replacement of my old phone was literally less than HALF the cost of a new phone at the Apple Store in the mall, and it was well worth it. I highly recommend The Phone Exchange.
