I was treated like I was attacking him for simply requesting a record of transactions from a particular company. His combative treatment of me showed really poor customer service. As a business owner, I would be embarrassed and ashamed if this person represented my business. I understand there are rules that the bank has and can accept that there is a reason this simple request could not be made, but my treatment was horrible. My dad and his girlfriend died in June 2024. US Bank has made it nothing but a miserable experience. Particularly Samir the manager has literally put every obstacle in my way without giving me any information or help. HORRIBLE customer service and experience several times over!!! I would give a -10 if possible!!! (I had to put 1 star b/c this app makes you put something... but should be 0) The service has continued to go downhill year after year. Although a few are good, tellers Veronica and especially Jade are always cold and VERY RUDE!!! (If you don't enjoy working and dealing with customers then you probably shouldn't hold a customer service job!!!) And don't get me started on Sam, the manger, if you even want to call him that. Last time I checked a manager actually deals with and acknowledges customers, instead of completely avoiding their concerns and attempt at clarification of bank policies. Coming from a prior employee, US Bank used to be known for and was the best in customer service, but this branch tops the cake of completely discrediting the companies values and mission. I went in to this location for help figuring out why US Bank was rejecting a mobile deposit for a payroll check. We had already tried to get a new check from our employer, and the customer service from US Bank could not tell us why they were referring back to the maker. So, I went in person, and they did eventually figure out that there was a process the employer was messing up with not registering their checks as they cut them. My teller, Veronica, was very lovely and had a pleasant and helpful demeanor. However, whoever her boss or supervisor was (330pm on Wednesday Sept 17), came across like a condescending prick. Maybe he had a bad day. They did get our funds figured out, but at the end I said that I wished the customer service people at the call center could have told me the problem, other than refer to maker, so I did not waste my time having a new check cut and rejected for the THIRD time. This supervisor seemed to take personal offense that I was critical of the bank's policy. Saying, "they were just the middle man," and my business is with my employer," leaving out that how was I supposed to know what to tell my employer to do differently. The bank obviously knew the problem. Anyway, regardless of whether or not this policy can change or if it would be legal to do so, he made me feel insignificant. We do not keep a lot of money in the account and are not rich, as we are public educators. However, his attitude really was awful. The only thing that prevented me from escalating the issue further at the time was Veronica mouthed the word "sorry" as he stormed off. I would suggest he take some customer service advice from her, and be removed from his current position until he has obtained some training on how to deal with customers politely. I am happy to come in person again and explain this to the bank manager, if they need clarification. Do better please. We do not know how the behind the scenes of the banking system works. We just felt out in the dark with our account overdrawn, and no answers from the bank. read more

U.S Bank Customer Service (The 800 number) made an appointment at this location, to close my father's account. I was told that because I was on the account (I handled my father's financial affairs) and they had a copy of the power of attorney with my name on it; I was to bring my I.D., my U.S Bank debit card, my Dad's death certificate and I also had the letter from the Social Security office that said that the last social Security check is not owed back to social Security. And the letter says for the executor of the estate to disperse the funds. I got to the Branch 5 mins early and only one customer in the bank. I sat and waited for an agent. A guy asked me if I've been helped. I explained that I had an appointment and that I came to close my deceased father's account. He asked who my appointment was with. I explained that customer service just made my appointment at this bank at this time, with no name. He goes to talk to another employee and sits at his desk and yells " someone will be with you in a moment". A heavier set guy with a beard approaches me and I explain the same thing. He said he'd be right with me. I was ask to have a seat at his desk (i'm guessing that was the managers office behind him) He asked me "Is your father here"? I freeze and said he's dead. (I mentioned it to the first person I spoke to and I had to tell this guy twice! And MIND you that out of the three employees I mentioned it to, not ONE of them said I'm sorry for your loss or my condolences!!!! I handed him all of my information and he took it to the lady in the office. She is peeping around her Computer monitor looking at me. He came out and said that I had to wait 60 days after death. (10 more days).......even if I'm on the account, proof of death and The letter from the Social Security office saying that there's no money owed back to Social Security!!!! AND that I would need a small estate claim affidavit notarized!!!!!!!! Why didn't customers service tell me this????? They told me what I had was all I needed. Naturally I could not find this form at Staples or Office Depot! Our attorney charges you for everything so I was trying to avoid needing him for anything. I paid for the form and pay for it to be notarized and checked to make sure it was correct. I went to another branch because I was peeved at this one!!! The other branch that I went to said that I did not need the affidavit and I could have closed the account with no problem because of the documents I had and the approved document that Social Security said " the money was not owed back to them and to disperse the funds!!!!!" Glad I didn't close his account and open my own account here!!!! I shop in this shopping center often and I am caved every time I look in the direction of that bank!!! They should change their name to US STANK!!!! read more

0 rating. I went to the Redlands U.S. Bank to open a CD and a Money Market account. First, I was asked many personal questions so U.S. Bank could build "a profile as to who I was. This bank asked so many personal questions that I became uncomfortable. For example, how much income do I get per year, and where does the money come from, how long have I lived in my home? I was going to open a CD for $100,000 and a Money Market account for $250,000. While I was deciding if I wanted an individual account and add a grandchild as a beneficiary or put the account in my Trust a man came over and said he would educate me to help with my confusion. First of all, I already have individual accounts and Trust accounts with more than one bank. I did not need nor want his condescending attitude. I also have a Trust lawyer and a financial advisor. He was so rude and arrogant that I got up and walked out. read more

I do not recommend this bank, like at all. It is the worst bank I've ever dealt with, and it's not even close. They on their own without my permission applied for a credit card in my name when I was opening my account. I have never had a credit card in my life, for a reason. I do not apply for credit cards, I never have. I got an email from Experian a couple days after opening my checking acct saying I applied for a credit card... I freaked out thinking someone stole my identity lol come to find out it was just UsBank applying on my behalf without my knowledge or permission. Also if you're self-employed or you are paid in cash for work and plan on depositing that cash into your acct, be prepared to not be able to use any of the cash you deposit for a full 3-5 business days. Doesn't matter if it's deposited at the atm or in branch, that money will not be available to you. If you do spend any of it, they will mark your acct negative and report it to the ChexSystem. I have a military acct so my overdraft fees are waved but if they weren't, they would've charged me hundreds of dollars in fees for spending my own money in my account, which is wild. Even though the money shows in your available balance, you can't spend your own money doesn't matter if it's $5. They're frauds. I have had an acct with most all of the big branch banks at one point, and with all of them, cash deposits made in branch are available immediately. Their customer service is hit or miss too, but mostly miss especially in the branch off of Orange St. read more

Been a customer for four years and am truly disappointed with the customer service. I have had problems with US Bank everyday for about a week and a half now and been calling the 1800 number everyday, which I shouldn't have to do. There have been times where I have called the 1800 number and they hung up on me when I started speaking without any warning. There are other times where when I spoke with multiple bank managers on the 1800 number about my problems with my account, they would tell me something different every time. Only other review is for a different location inside a grocery; not even this bank branch. :l People working here are nice enough, but since this bank changed from Downey Savings to US Bank, things have gone downhill. Overage charges for just about everything, I'm now charged for replacement checks on a "free checks for life" Downey account, my free checking now charges me if I don't direct deposit a certain amount per month, and I get overdrafts for holds that shouldn't even BE there. Used to be that if a place put a hold on funds (such as hotels etc) as soon as the *business* released the hold, Downey would release the hold as well. Well, not anymore. Stayed at a hotel; paid cash. DAYS later got an overdraft charge because I used my card "while the hotel had a hold on my funds." Called and talked to hotel corporate; they had released the funds within an hour of me paying cash and had proof to show it. Called bank; after WAY too long of a runaround, they claim the hotel had NOT released it, despite my proof, and said it was there prerogative to keep funds or not. :| Seriously. If I could find a bank that was in a more convenient location, I'd leave in a heartbeat. read more

First thing that should have triggered me is the fact that, at no given time of the 2 hours spent there, they did not ask to see any form of legal ID, confusing me for another customer with the similar problem. Makes me wonder how confidential and secure my info really is with them. My day at the bank includes: - "Oh don't worry we lose our customers' checks all the time this can easily be fixed" -"Oh, you weren't that customer? Guess we just gave you all the info from this other customer. Sorry I have another customer with the same issue" - "Here's that thing we said we couldn't give you 40 min ago because "there's no record of it so there's no point of me trying to look for it" but since you're crying now I'll look" - "Ehhh no. You can't talk to the manager because she won't help you" * manger helps me after 2 mins of talking to her Rudest things I experienced today: - Not even trying to look up my information Eye roll when I told them " look I took time of work just so I could come talk to you guy in person. I've called the 800 number multiple times and they told me to come here. That check is literally my whole income for the month to pay my bills so please understand that I need at least a concrete answer or documentation of what is happening ." - walking away mid convo -quickly attending and ignoring me for an older upset lady -Telling me "Watch your mouth young lady or raise your voice at me or not I'm not going to even help you at all. It's your fault and your problem not mine" (this was after the 2 hours and the tears while she spoke over me and all I said was "can you stop talking over me and listen! For the thousandth time. I can't f***king get the state of CA to come to the bank with me. I am not trying to be rude just want some type of documentation of what you guys did with my check".) Worst possible customer service in the world. Age discrimination, race discrimination, not even trying to pull my information up. if I can give this no stars I would! I went there for the first time and encountered a guy name tanner. he was already looking at me as if I had shit on my face when I was standing in line. I got to the window and no greeting just what can I help you with today kind of rudely! I gave him the slip of what I wanted to withdraw and he told me he is not going to give me that amount unless I called in for it a week ago but he will see if he can get it approved. he filled out a different paper with about 30% of the amount I asked for and took it to someone to sign off for and left my original withdraw form at the desk. came back and gave me my money and told me if I wanted more I should go try the vons location! WILL NOT BE GOING HERE AGAIN! ok so I'm not able to find vons us bank specifically so ill review that too. I was able to receive my biggest transaction from this branch. the lady seen that I had already been to 2 us banks before this one and didn't understand why they had given me such a low amount and sent me on a goose chase. she gave me my money with no hesitation and advised me to just be careful. counted my money discreetly. treated me like a person which I loved. don't quite remember her name because the first two banks already have my mind made up that I wont be doing business with usbank anymore once I'm done paying off my credit card. Great bank! All banks have problems. Most are because some people don't understand how financial systems work or don't work. With technology these days and just sheer volume, mistakes happen. But what it really comes down to is how willing the staff is to help and fix your problem. I've had my mortgage company double dip an online payment. USBank help me correct it even though it wasn't their fault. Verizon's auto pay had a glitch that repeatedly took my cell phone payment until my account was depleted. USBank to the rescue. And my business account through USBank had a glitch with my credit card processor which was depositing in wrong account. They fixed it right away, and kept me advised every step. It's not how good a bank is when things are fine, it's how good they are when there's a problem. The Yucaipa branch is the best. read more

I came to this branch because I was in the process of a large purchase. I just moved and my main bank is a credit union in San Diego. My bank had released the money that I needed as a cash advance but after going to about six different banks in town none of them would assist me simply because I didn't have an account with them. I waiting for almost an hour at Arrowhead Credit Union, to set up an account only to have to cancel because I didn't have the proper verification. I came to this branch as a last resort as I had about 2/3rd's of the cash I needed for my purchase and was sure I was not going to get the assistance that I needed again. The teller was friendly, (i forgot her name in the process), told me that if the transaction failed she wouldn't be able to run my card again. She was able to process the transaction and after all of the work i'd been through she solved my issue. I thanked her, and told her I would write a positive review because of my positive experience. I'm writing this in case others run into the same issue. read more

US Bank is seriously a joke. I have dealt with lots of banks, I am in finance and am on many companies' online banking. US Bank makes me want to bang my head against a wall. They figured out the most complicated stupid way to do things and then went ahead with it. Their customer service is pretty good, but only because they have to have great customer service because they do things so backwards. The answers I got I really thought were the branch's work around, but no, they really designed them that way. I've had better luck and the location inside Von's which is sad. I've gone in for services they only offer between certain hours (still can't figure out why), and the only person who could help me was in a meeting and I could come back in 45 minutes. The only good thing I can say about US Bank is that the people working there are nice, but I would never recommend this bank to anyone. read more

Can't even enter a change of address without a check card (which I never used). So they think your security is safe as long as no one gets that card #; a thief could get your accounts, SS, DOB, mother's name, etc. but never your check card #. This is typical of the kind of service you receive at this bank. Save yourself a lot of hassle and bank anywhere else. read more
