Went to make a cash and check deposit today, didn't get the name of that bank teller that helped with my transaction. She tried to scam me by not depositing my check, good thing I checked my deposit slip. I was about to walk out then I noticed the deposit amount was incorrect and that teller tried hiding from by walking to the back and didn't even acknowledge me that my transaction wasn't done. She tried hiding my deposit slip by covering it up so I don't notice it. TERRIBLE!!! That person should not be working there, who knows she might scam other customers!!! BEWARE!!! ACU will woo new customers with low interest auto loans but don't expect to be approved for any future credit. Despite paying off two car loans without one late payment and $70k in the bank for well over a year, plus a Fico score of over 720+ at the time, I could not get approved for a credit card. I moved my savings elsewhere. Fast forward a few years, on multiple occasions I have attempted to use mobile deposit to deposit 2-4 checks at a time. After receiving multiple error messages over an extended period of time, I called ACU. Apparently they have been aware of this issue for about a year but do not have a solution to fix it. Customers have to log out after depositing a check in order to deposit a second check. If you want to use technology, enjoy a streamlined experience or obtain credit, this is not the bank for you! Funny, I can purchase investment properties but can't get a $10k credit card from this bank. read more

This has to be the worst ACU branch ever. I am just now getting around to writing this review after being a 20-year member. Doing business with them was always difficult. I had 2 accounts and a HELOC with them that always seemed to have issues. I went into this particular location to withdraw $3000.00 in cash, and they didn't have it. They said that I had to order it. When I asked to speak to the manager, it took her forever to come out, and when she'd did, she was very unprofessional and downright rude. I told her that I wasn't going put up with ACU any longer. She said "well do what you need to do." She couldn't have cared less, so I was finally able to close my accounts and withdraw all of my cash. As a 20-year customer, nobody even cared to ask why. I was very fortunate to be a veteran and opened an account at the Navy Federal Credit Union, and they are AMAZING!!! Don't waste your time with the low-tech poorly led Arrowhead Credit Union. I paid off a signature loan in full and also paid in full an ACU visa card. When I went to apply for a new signature loan they snubbed their nose at me. This bank is crap go to altura credit union anywhere but Arrowhead credit union. Plus their customer service inside the bank is crap!!!! The customer service reps when you call in are the only nice thing about this bank. This bank is not empathetic to helping people or the community. On 1/8/23 I decided to purchase a 2022 Ram 2500 Limited 4x4. I just want to let people know that Arrowhead Credit Union really cares about their Clients. I had excellent credit 803 which paved the way to receive a 2.99% interest rate for 36 month loan with auto payment from checking account. I have only been into the building two times and the first time was to open my account. At both times, the receptionist, which should be smiling and welcoming, was not friendly at all. The other personnel, including the cashier, were all friendly and helpful. This first impression was terrible. My second visit was only last week and even though Christmas is this month, the 3 women standing behind the receptionist desk were so busy talking, they didn't have time to wait on any of the people waiting to speak with someone to help them. I'm disappointed that I tried Arrowhead Credit Union (AHCU) again. I know COVID has played a part in some of my complaints. I am not happy with not being able to use my debit card due to whatever the issues are. The ATM in my area has had issues off and on and in my opinion way too many. I tried for approximately an hour trying to get through to find out if there were any documented issues with the system because I cannot use my card. To no avail, I never got through before the call center closed. Needless to say this isn't the first ATM issue; issues pre-COVID and probably will be post COVID. Come on now!!!!!! If it just happens to be just a coincidence I am the only one having an issue, I apologize but if it is an internal issues.....shame on you guys for not making me aware of it!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I needed a car loan. The experience was delightful and personable. Going to the credit union was the easiest way I ever had. They have always thought about Customer First. There will never be a time I go through a dealership again. I would recommend them to anyone. Tanya was amazing as well as the rest of team that funding me in the end. Then there is also Autoland with in the branch. This is where Tanya recommended me to go next during my hunt for the car. No Pressure what so ever. I had an idea that I wanted mini vans but unsure of a few choices. I saw the minivans online, drove another one and saw one at a dealership. I was still going to look around. Matt with Autoland and I discussed my ideas of what I wanted. He could of let me just go on a hunt and come back when I decided but that was not his personality. We looked online some more. Weighing all the options. After about an hour, I was set on my Toyota Sienna. Perfect color and everything I wanted. By that night he found my van out at an Oxnard Branch. I had it the next night, delivered to the Arrowhead Branch in Redlands. The processing for the paperwork including: applying for loan - 35 minutes but it seemed like less since Tanya & I were just talking while waiting for approval to come through the computer. 1 hour looking for perfect car with Matt, again Im a talker. 1 hour and 30 minutes for finalization for signing papers when car arrived and funding. Again the whole process smooth. Each person involved Matt, Tanya, Steve and Christina were amazing with me and my grandchildren. Myself and grandchildren were treated with such friendliness. White Collar Sheist at it's finest. Stay far, FAR AWAY! Sheist: (shahy-st) lying, cheating, dishonest, stealing, shady If you like last minute bait and switches with people who don't answer the phone when you need them, don't call you back when you need them and try shady tactics when you're finalizing, this is the place for you! I will rejoice when the large world banks eat this chain of con artists and leave them on the street without a pot to piss in. My fiancé and I recently had an experience with their loan department, and we are still having trouble understanding how this place can even be a legit business with the shady tactics pulled. We are at a loss for words. Here is the summary of our disaster... 1. We were pre approved for loan amount in person ($8,300 @ 4.7% 155/mo for 5 years), and verified TWICE IN PERSON that everything was in order and that it was ok to go get the car. We had the papers in hand and faxed them to the dealer ahead of time. I put the car on my insurance. 2. We both took the day off of work and drove 2 hours to the dealership to pick up the car. 3. Arrowhead Credit Union Loan specialist did not answer personal phone line for a long time, making us look terribly unprepared and unprofessional. There are no other direct lines listed to the branches, all listed numbers route through corporate teleprompt nightmare to people who are unfamiliar with the loan, despite us having and providing the loan number. 4. There was an issue with our loan and us 'not being members'. We are told a loan officer will call us back, they never did. Tried calling the number on our personal loan assistants card several more times. 5. After 10+ call attempts, our Loan specialist finally calls us back and says she is submitting our loan for approval (our already100% pre approved loan, mind you). She mentioned that 'hopefully the amount is ok and it matches the Kelly bluebook value so the loan will go through' and says she will call us back in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later, I CALLED HER only to receive the news that they declined our loan and said that they could only do a $6,800 loan at $300/mo for only 20 months. THIS IS WHILE WE'RE AT THE DEALER SIGNING THE PAPERWORK FOR THE CAR. 6. This was unacceptable and I let her know, she played phone tag with us for another hour. Overall we were at the dealership from 10am to 2pm with 4 hours drive time...and at a loss of pay due to taking the day off. The dealership was very sympathetic to the situation and tried to work with us as much as they could. We ultimately walked away from the sale due to Arrowhead Credit union's incompetence. Honestly, we wanted to finance with a credit union to AVOID classic bait and switch tactics commonly used by small dealerships, but this time it was the credit union doing the scamming! WOW! ***Expect a corporate complaint and a BBB complaint*** PROTIP: Your dealership price better match their inaccurate Kelly blue book software for private seller value or they will dick you over LAST MINUTE and try to lock you into a smaller loan with a way higher monthly and potentially leave you high and dry. This is YOUR loan, with YOUR CREDIT and YOUR MONEY on the line, but they will be all up in your business and dictating your car choice in north Korea fashion. Stay classy, Arrowhead Credit Union. For clarification, the car was a 99 bmw m3 5spd coupe, black/black, preferred interior options, garage queen with a mountain of receipts for all service done. Same adult owner for 13 years. Best color combo and trim options, meticulously maintained, in perfect mechanical condition. Carfax outscored others like it by a mile. Bone stock and unmolested, even had factory cassette player. I Had been searching for the perfect gem for a year. ACU's loophole opportunity was that the car should still only be worth 6k tops and their crappy KBB can't factor in collector value and rarity. I offered them quotes from Edmunds showing the cars value at 9k dealership price but they wouldn't accept that and wouldn't price check other cars in the state for verification that it was priced more than fair and in far better condition than 99% of others. This information would have been good to know: A. BEFORE we got the dealership involved B. BEFORE I paid to add the car to my insurance C. BEFORE we both took the day off of work and drove 2 hrs there, sat at dealership for 4 hrs playing phone tag with ACU, and drove 2 hrs back in traffic D. BEFORE we wasted the dealers time and money, they had detailed the car, had a fresh oil change and fluid top off, made a small repair and filled up the gas tank for me. read more

There are many other credit unions. Go there instead if you want a good experience. First, I just paid back a home equity loan and line of credit, over 40K. So what do they do? Restrict my online access so I can't see the transactions. Fine then. This treatment goes back a long way. They love your money as long as you have it. But, when my wife lost her job due to MS about 6 years ago, I asked for a little help with the payments. ACU said to write them a letter of explanation. There So I did. Did the letter help? Not at all. It made things worse. ACU demanded the same payments and proceeded to foreclose on our home. When I would go in person to make a payment, most tellers at the window were not very friendly, like our account had been red flagged. ACU helped to push us to the edge of financial disaster. But God helped us, not ACU. (Remember that mine and your taxpayer dollars bailed ACU out in the Great Recession.) Well, now we are in much better place financially and I plan to keep it that way. No more business with heartless ACU. read more

Our Business uses Arrowhead CU. They are not really set up for this anymore but the staff does their best. They also provide free checking for non-profits and we have a coalition account there... It is not really a full service bank, but credit unions are good for many things. read more

This Credit Union is way behind the times. I would say probably by about five years. Their services are those that were introduced years ago and when I asked when they'd be implementing more streamlined services they said that they weren't even looking into that possibility. The lines are always long when you go inside and the wait for an advisor is equally as long. If you're comfortable going with the bigger banks I'd suggest you do so. read more

I recently had a fraudulant transaction to my account using my stolen ATM number and pin. A thief was able to steal $160 out of a citibank ATM machine in San Francisco even though i had no money in my account at the time. I immediately went to the branch to complete a fraud packet. I then found out that it takes 7 to 10 days to review fraud cases, so for the next 10 days i am out $160. I have been a customer for 23 years now and the bank doesnt seem to care. I will be looking for a new bank on payday! read more

Worst bank chain ever. I had money wired to them through refi and here we are three days later claiming they didn't get it. While they collect interest on money I don't owe them. They also took 8 days to get my bank the pay off letter too. The loan department claimed they had no idea my bank was requesting a pay off. However, when they transferred me to a manager she says "You are trying to refi through xXxX bank?" I said yes,and you clearly got the notice because I never told either of you what bank I was using. After that she stumbled and back peddled and magically I was "allowed" to come pick up my pay off letter they couldn't seem to fax over eight days ago. There were other staff walking around helping people but they didn't think to help out the front desk. After a period of account activity, Arrowhead locked me out of my account, and started charging me $2.00 per month. Customer service is unwilling to clear the lock on my account remotely, so I can't even properly withdraw the remaining balance and close the account.
