Upgraded studio with new reformers!…read more It's been a while since I came to this studio and was shocked to see so many reformers inside. The instructor, Jen, was encouraging and energetic. She instructs on Tuesdays in the morning. It's also been a minute since I did Lagree and the body shakes were crazy. We had a small class of six and Jen corrected our form to make sure we got the most out of her class. Definitely would come back.

Instructor Guan made the experience feel much more approachable. She did a great job explaining how everything worked, demonstrating proper form, and guiding the class through each movement clearly and patiently. She also made helpful adjustments when needed and encouraged people when they were on the right track, which made the class feel supportive without any pressure or judgment. By the end of class, my uneasiness had completely subsided and I felt great after the workout. Guan has a natural talent for creating a positive and welcoming environment, while still making the class challenging in a good way. I'd definitely recommend taking a class with her, especially if you're new to Lagree or nervous about trying it for the first time.

I highly recommend Sifu Benson as a teacher, mentor, and practitioner of traditional Wu Style Tai…read moreChi and Eagle Claw Kung Fu. I had been interested in learning more about Tai Chi for some time, both as a wellness practice and a martial art form. I found Sifu Benson a few years ago after doing some online research, and based on the good impression I got, I decided to check out his classes. It was immediately clear that this was the "real deal." Sifu Benson brings to his classes an incredible amount of knowledge and sophisticated understanding of the forms, both practical and theoretical. He connects everything we do back to their foundations in traditional Chinese thinking and martial arts. He is able to teach beginners and advanced students equally well, allowing each student to develop at their own pace and leading them step by step to greater understanding and practice. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, Sifu Benson will be there to ensure that you are steadily, consistently growing and perfecting your skills. Learning Tai Chi with him has helped me grow as a person and has given me an invaluable gift in developing the form.

I'd like to come here when I visit LA or Pasadena because it's a vibe! First of all they have three…read moredecks two of them are covered, and the one on the top isn't. Before I forget, they are a cashless facility. Sometimes I buy golf clubs at the thrift store. I'm not sure if they rent them, but you could always ask. What made my last visit so fascinating was the employee working at the driving range. I didn't know where I could buy a Tee for the mat, so I took the chance and asked the worker if I could buy one there. He said I'll bring one down for you on my way back down. I said thank you and deep down I was so grateful it was going to make my experience so much better. I am a woman who has been golfing since high school. I have never taken a lesson although I love the sport. I've only ever stuck to the driving range. It's my thing. Someone once told me no one is a professional out here unless you have a green blazer. lol I got the joke

Alhambra golf driving range and course are an excellent place to start learning how to golf…read more The range has a shot tracer that you can connect to your phone to track all of your shots. It can get quite busy during peak hours and especially in the summer. There is also an area to practice short pitch shots and a sand trap. A bucket of balls cost a bit more than the average range but the shot tracer is well worth it. The 18 hole course is a bit better than your typical muni course. Greens aren't in the best shape but they are decent for the cost of the round. There is also a proshop with all you need and more to play a round. I highly recommend Alhambra Golf course!

Jeffery is very knowledgeable and patient! Took his time to assess my complaints/injury every…read moresingle time. Had about 6 sessions and every session he showed the same diligence in his assessments. He would take videos of my run form, give feedback and explain why certain movements can cause muscles strain/ discomfort! I had persistent knee pain that would not go away. I've tried massage, acupuncture, rest, stretching but nothing would resolve the issue. After 2 sessions with Jeffery, I started noticing significant improvement with pain relief and run performance. Every session Jeffery would build on the exercise and send videos/training schedule on an app. The app was very helpful, with daily reminders for exercises and help me adhere to my rehab goals. I've been pain free after my 6 session and would likely return for sessions to help with performances /strengthening exercises

I was referred to Dr. Jeffery Su by my partner, who found him via Yelp. I decided to go with Dr. Su…read moreafter researching all of my physical therapist options through my health insurance and found that they all had terrible Yelp reviews. The reason my partner liked Dr. Su was because he actually tries to help you without roping you into seeing him multiple times just to get money out of you, which I found to be very true - he was able to fix me in just 3 sessions. Paying the $165 per session out of pocket (still FSA/HSA eligible though), was well worth the money in my opinion because I was desperate to get better from my pickleball injury and get back to playing ASAP. Before coming to Dr. Su, I was trying to diagnose myself with ChatGPT and was following their prescribed regimen to heal myself. I wish I had gone to Dr. Su earlier because he was able to diagnose my issue in the first session and give me actionable strengthening exercises (he posts all the assigned exercises, with instructional videos, on the PtEverywhere App) to provide me with some immediate relief from the pain. Dr. Su said that I had strained my (sacrotuberous) ligament, which ChatGPT said would take 4-6 weeks to heal. After religiously doing my strengthening exercises for 4 weeks, I found that my pain was low enough to where Dr. Su approved my slow return to Pickleball and Aerial Silks (he's incredibly responsive via text). I found that as I would play, the same right side was continuing to give me trouble. So I went back to see him a 2nd time. At this session he was able to diagnose that my right hip was super tight and was impeding my recovery - he wasn't able to discover that during the first session because I was in so much pain that he was only focused on fixing that first. He used a strap to pull on my right hip to gain some mobility back, but it barely moved. The next couple of days I was incredibly sore but continued to religiously complete my newly assigned strengthening exercises along with foam rolling (if he forgets to posts the exercises on the app, just text him and he'll post them right away). Whatever he did to me, worked because by the 3rd day, my pain was gone! That along with the foam rolling was probably exactly what I needed too because I was able to easily move into my right front split without the tightness I had been experiencing for years! My follow-up appointment was a week and a half later with Dr. Su and I had no pain to report to him. He tested my right hip again and was able to finally get the head of my right femur to actually "bounce"/move normally during this 3rd session. He taught me some lifetime maintenance and strengthening exercises for my overall health and longevity for playing pickleball, which he posted on the app. He also sent me some links to adjustable home weights to help me save space in my apartment. I generally have trouble sticking to self-guided workouts but Dr. Su simplified them to just 25 minutes of exercises, twice a week. Hey - if that's all I need to keep playing pickleball without injury for the rest of my life, I'm sold. Sign me up!

She's incredibly motivating, knowledgeable, and creates such a fun, welcoming environment while still giving you an amazing workout. The front desk team is always so kind and welcoming, and Jasmine deserves a special shoutout. She always greets everyone with a smile and makes you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The studio has amazing energy, great music, and such a fun vibe that makes every class something to look forward to. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging workout in a positive and encouraging atmosphere!

My bestie goes here for Lagree, and I was excited to finally check it out after seeing it on…read moreClassPass. I went on a Sunday afternoon, and the class was completely full! Cindy was our instructor. The class itself was okay, but I found some of the instructions difficult to follow. Since it was a full class and Cindy was not using a Megaformer for her demonstrations, it was also challenging to see the movements clearly. I think the transitions between exercises could have been smoother as well. The biggest issue for me was the studio layout. When you enter, you walk directly into the classroom, with storage cubes and the sign-in area along the side. There is no separate lobby or waiting area, so you either wait outside or awkwardly stand inside while the previous class finishes, cleans up, and leaves. The bathroom is located in the back, which makes things a little inconvenient if you arrive early and need to change or use the restroom before class. You still have to wait for the previous class to clear out before you can comfortably get settled. I wonder if having clients enter through the back could help make the transition between classes feel less awkward. The studio itself also felt a bit cramped. When the class is full, it can be difficult to see the instructor's demonstrations, and taller clients may have trouble fully extending their limbs without getting too close to the walls or other equipment. If you're taller, try to come earlier and pick a megaformer on the right wall side for more space. This is an issue they are aware of and told us during class. Pros: * Large, clean restroom * Eucalyptus-scented towels at the end of class * The studio smells amazing, like eucalyptus! * Easy parking, there is a free parking structure next to the studio. Overall, I think the studio layout and class setup could use some improvements, especially when the class is full. I appreciate the eucalyptus touches and the clean facilities, but having more space and better visibility of the demonstrations would make for a more comfortable experience.
