Loved the service, to rent a comparable truck, driving it myself, paying for all the gas, would've cost me around $9K. Using U-Pack saved me about $2.9K and they did all the driving and gas expenses. The drivers were great and didn't flinch with weird, rural location dynamics! Will suggest them to anybody I know moving! read more

I had a great experience with this company. Every step of the way was simple. The initial setup was great. Later, the driver called to apologize for running 30 minutes late, and told me he was on his way. Then the company contacted me to confirm pickup and delivery. Afterwards when the trailer was empty, I just clicked on a link to a website provided by the company and the trailer was picked up later the next day. I will definitely use ABF again in about 12 months. read more

My husband and I recently relocated to Texas and U-Pack made everything smooth, simple, and affordable. From the moment they pick up the trailer in one state and bring it to your new place to unload; they stay in touch via text, email, and online. They also help you connect with movers to load and unload. Highly recommended!!! read more

How do I start this horrible experience. Everything was good as far as booking the trailer and me paying the entire 5k upfront. The issue started when the trailer drove off with my entire house items inside. They dropped off my trailer on 7/21 (Thursday). Picked up trailer on 7/26 (Tuesday). It was supposed to take 7 - 9 days to be delivered to Houston, TX which would have been on 8/8 (Monday). Someone called from the Dallas location saying they had my trailer and they scheduled my delivery for 8/5 (Friday). Once I received that call I paid for movers for that day. Then I got a call from the Houston location saying that they couldn't locate my trailer. By this time I was furious because I had movers lined up for that Friday that my trailer was supposed to be there. I kept speaking to different customer service reps and no one could tell me anything. They kept asking me who told me what I was telling them concerning my trailer. I didn't personally know the names of the different individuals all I know they were telling me what they knew when they looked in system concerning my trailers situation. Finally someone said my trailer was re-routed to Salt Lake, Utah by mistake. Now my family and I were left sleeping on the floor for almost 4 days. My trailer was not delivered until 8/10. The biggest problem is when it was finally delivered alot of my stuff was broken. A big screen TX, chairs were damaged, furniture was severely damaged, etc. I had to throw away alot of items. This was a horrible experience and I hope someone does their research when it comes to using shipping companies. read more

Cubes were delivered on time and picked up on time. Driver was courteous and helpful. Arrived on the other side of the country 1 day early. Worked with my timeline for delivery. Same type of courteous people on the other end. Very nice to work with, I would use them again. I used two cubes. First was pricey but adding the second was a great bargain. Thanks UPack! read more

U-Pack Moving - Driver placed them exactly where we wanted them at new house. - Movers Near Me - Pacoima, California

2 Relo Cubes Los Angeles to Norhern Nevada. Easy to work with and less expensive and honest than any moving company I've ever used before, your cubes never leave their eye sight and sites. The cubes came to the Nevada house 2 days before estimate and I was able to track the whole time. Had numerous date changes, was never a problem with them or a crazy charge, they give you the direct number to each transport center near you, and if it's after hours there is a 800 number with someone to talk to. Moving is no fun, these guys make it easier. By the way it's a Teamster/IATSE shop, (been working in the movie/entertainment industry almost my whole life and yeah "The Simpsons" and other shows like to poke fun at Teamsters) but these are guys and gals who are well paid, and take pride in their job and great customer service. God willing only going to move once more time and if need be will use again! read more

I priced a few container companies and U-Pack was considerably cheaper than the rest. SoI booked a container. Then I learned that if I didn't use the whole container, I would get a credit per foot for unused space - that was fantastic! I had no idea up front. The container was delivered to my house on time and to my new location early. Everyone I spoke with was extremely responsive and helpful. Since I was moving my stuff myself, it was a huge ordeal and there were a lot of things I didn't know about, but the U-Pack reps really stepped up - including when I couldn't get an inside bar opened, they sent a driver over to help me out and he showed up within minutes. My only complaint would be with their inside "doors" which are sheets of plywood with metal bars on them. They are very difficult to maneuver and the bars are impossible to work correctly when the brackets are bent - which was my case. The driver blamed it on the local office not taking care of them and repairing them when they should. Apart from that, I highly recommend them, especially if you're on a budget. read more

My experience with U Pack was amazing. I will never move again without using them. On time, reasonably priced, efficient, no surprises!

I moved cross-country, from California to Florida and it was a massive undertaking. I used their 28' moving pods/containers (2). I am so, very pleased with the excellent customer service and professionalism I received during the entire process. I had tons of questions and called numerous times and each and every time, the representative was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. From beginning to end, the high quality service I received was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend U-Pack. read more

I went higher up and contacted Arc Best which is ABF one of the worlds largest shipping Companies! With much stress and trying to breathe I told them I was only sent a claim form by email by upack moving to which I thought was a joke and insult! I said to him how do you file a claim on such a thoughtless and destructive situation and you want me to list the items that were damaged? I assured him the pictures would tell him enough and I would never be able to list each item and it's worth because of the destruction his company had done to my precious and priceless belongings! I told him it was like a bomb went off inside the trailer! This is not list a few items complaint this is a lawsuit that will be filed with your company to which the pictures tell all and I will be compensated for the entire move and plus damages and the distress you put me through! I still can't wrap my head around that they just closed the doors and drove the fuck away? Who does that? I had called the company earlier today concerned about my belongings because of the heat and the lady told me that it would be ok and not to worry, but I had no idea they had already destroyed my things with such careless and with no compassion at all! In life we have things that are antiques or priceless items that are handed down from generation to generation and items that you recall where you bought it to add to your collection! Items that are priceless that you inherited from a loved one that passed away! How do you put a price on that ? You can't ! And I want ! I pray for peace inside me and I pray for control and serenity in my heart and for healing! I trusted this company with my precious belongings and this is how my shipment arrived not only damaged or destroyed but also looks as if it was rummaged through! The truck drove from LA to Nashville Tennessee and they did not secure my belongings as I was told they would do and with not a care in the world as my belongings and priceless antiques and antique glassware was thrown among the truck for 2000 miles! I'm disgusted with the amount of non-compassion and neglect they have bestowed upon me as I trusted them with my things ! read more

We used this service to move from West Hills, CA to Lincoln, NE. The price was amazing and everyone I've spoken to was great to talk with. We ended up using the whole truck which was easy to load. The ramp was really good and sturdy too! I ended up having to delay delivery a couple days due to a later closing date on our house and it was no problem for the company. I would recommend this moving service to anyone looking for a great moving experience. We were also able to drive out much easier without having to drive 55 the whole way in a U-Haul truck with my car being towed. read more

Best moving/freight service we have used. This was for our move from CA to TX. We had a new house being built and had several delays and so, we had several reschedules with UPack. We used UPack's relocubes, took advantage of storage, and their dispatchers worked with us with every schedule/cancellation/and reschedule. AND IT WAS ALL TIMELY WITH NO HASSLE. Would 100% recommend UPack. read more

We used U-pack to move from California to Texas. They dropped off the trailer when asked and picked it up on time. We loaded and secured our furniture and belonging with straps. Everything looked good when we unloaded it. It even arrived early to Texas. Also cheaper than other moving companies. read more

All in all outstanding process for moving over a "moving" company! The process is simple as you supply the labor so their part is relatively minimal. The only concern one needs is to ensure your respective "station" has a ramp or puts one aside for you prior. This is a cargo carrier so they don't often put as much importance on a ramp as a person moving themselves would. They completed the parameters of the contract very well and I have no issues outside of ensuring I got a ramp. The largest benefit to going cargo is you have a 22k weight limit which is included, compared to conventional movers who charge you for weight as much as footage. Going this route saved about 10k which included all the labor and materials we covered. Only difference is that we packed our own stuff and labeled the boxes... Worth it!!! read more

Everything went very smoothly from planning, to shipment and delivery. During planning, I had been quoted for both truck space, and for moving containers. I had initially requested truck space, but when I called to finalize the reservation, a truck was not available on my scheduled day, however, they adjusted the cost for my estimated number of containers to match the price scaling of the truck. While I was surprised not to receive a call when the containers arrived, it took a little longer to find a home at my destination than I had anticipated, and when I called to have the containers delivered, they schedule it quickly, and didn't charge for the extra days they had been holding my containers. The drivers at both origin and destination were very professional, and contacted me directly for coordination on the delivery days so I didn't have to sit around idle during the entire scheduled windows, and after I had unloaded the containers at my destination, they did not require me to be present to pick them up. Overall a great experience. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone else. read more

Company ultimately rectified the issues present. Was not the most timely but I did appreciate the attention to solutions the U Pack Moving company ultimately adopted after I reviewed them and spent a few weeks resolving this. read more

From the first call I was impressed. I had switched my dates several times and they were always accommodating. The original drop off to load the pods was seamless. They picked them up after loading and even made it to the final destination without issues. We arrived after but the pods were held until we arrived. Our across the country move went perfectly. No breakage or damage to anything. Also my original quote never changed. Highly recommend. read more

Customer service staff are extremely accommodating and considerate. They listen, call around and drive extra miles to help us. Moving is always hectic and full of unexpected issues. But customer service guys both handling loading unloading are reliable, understanding and helpful. I am sorry I forgot the names of the two staff. They deserve five plus stars. read more

When I was planning my move from CA to NC I heard tons of horror stories from friends who had their stuff held hostage by moving companies, had their stuff lost or severely damaged so I went with u-pack. Affordable, do it yourself and the employees are very easy to contact and super helpful and nice even when we messed up on our end. U-pack was great for us and id go with them again for sure. read more

They make moving straightforward. I used the ReloCube service and was able to call and talk to a live person. They were able to quickly give me a quote for different options and schedule the drop off and pick up. Keep in mind they aren't open on the weekends so you'll need to schedule for weekdays. They quoted 6-8 days for delivery, and delivered the pod from LA to Detroit in only 6 weekdays, which is much faster than the other companies I called. There was no damage to anything on the pod, but we made sure to pack it tight and wrap things to protect against shaking or movement during transit. Overall I was very impressed with how easy they made the process. read more

We rented a truck for a cross country move. The truck arrived when they said it would, and they picked it up on time. Overall we had a great experience except for one thing. When we started unloading we realized that there had been a water leak in the truck, and some of the cardboard boxes got wet. We had books in those boxes that now have water damage. I would still recommend them, just be careful to pack your valuables in plastic boxes. read more

Everything went great! Delivered the empty packs at our home and it turned out we only used one. It was immediately deducted from our order and our credit card credited that amount. Moved from Palmdale, Ca to Tulsa, OK. We rented a 28' trailer this time and as usual U-pack does not disappoint. They were stellar the whole way. Will use again we are sure. We rented a cubicle back in 2017 for a music studio to be moved from Tulsa to Long Beach, Ca and it was also a very pleasant experience. This company and the people are very nice. read more

I recently moved cross country from Los Angeles to North Carolina. ABF U-Pack's service was absolutely on point from start to finish. All of my interactions, whether on the phone or in person, were pleasant, professional and informative. We called ahead to the terminal in Pacoima and scheduled to load our trailer. The representative ensured everything was ready which really helped to speed the process. Once we were done loading with the bulkhead installed and locked, we signed the paperwork and that was it. Amazingly our trailer shipped that same day and arrived a day early at my destination terminal. Once again, the representative in Durham had insured everything was ready when we arrived for unloading. That process went even faster and once we were done, another couple of paperwork signatures and our move was complete. Our household goods arrived safely and didn't appear to shift at all during their long cross country journey. It's a pleasure to write a review for a company that not only provides fantastic service but at an extremely fair and affordable price. If you're ever in need of a long distance move I HIGHLY recommend ABF U-Pack! :-) read more

100!!! I moved from LA to Oralndo and upack made it so easy. First off the phone rep was so easy to talk with and honest about what a trailer is and how the process works. Email confirmations and phone numbers all provided so fast. We got an amazing quote for a trailer and even a military discount! Used less space than quoted for and received a huge discount as well. Uhaul truck was so easy to backup to trailer and easy to load. Great company! I will always rec and use! Thx read more

Wow, I saw the other reviews and am surprised. I have used them twice over the last 3 years. Each time it was to ship furniture and household items from So Cal to Dallas. Each time the experience was fantastic as far as the customer service goes. If you are considering using ABF I suggest you be flexible regarding the trip. You may set yourself up for disappointment if you are super locked into a pick up and delivery date. The first trip was delayed by a day due to a mechanical problem with the truck. However, the real time tracking information keeps you up to date about your shipment. As their name implies, YOU PACK your stuff. If you do a lousy job of packing your items they will definitely shift around during the ride. These trailers are not air ride. They are bouncy and things move around. Pack your things in boxes and get them as tight as possible. U Pack is not a moving company. They just provide you a trailer and a ride. I believe that they do that extremely well. I am having the valuable furniture items in our house moved by a professional moving company. They measure their fees by weight. I used U Pack to carry a large load of non-fragile items at a much lower cost. I suggest you do your homework si your expectations are properly set. If you decide U Pack is the way to go for you, I think you will find their people are top notch. read more

I used U-Pack to ship all my stuff from Los Angeles to Atlanta and they were great! They came highly recommended by a friend of mine who also used them for a cross-country move. The price was better than their competitors', as was the shipping time and delivery window. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and courteous. Because I was moving from an apartment that didn't have an accessible parking lot for the relo-cubes, I had to get a permit from the city in order to have my cubes parked on the street, but U-Pack informed me of that ahead of time. They also provided two cubes at my request, although they were pretty sure I would only need one. They were right! I was never charged for the second (empty) cube, just as they promised. Will definitely be using them again if I make a big move. Thank you, U-Pack! read more

Shopped on line for the best rates from LA to Florida and found U-pack moving to be the best self packing company. I had a good experience. I had a horrible experience with U-pack. I am moving across the country and called for a U-Pack pod to come to my home. Everything was going well. Until the day it was suppose to come. They never came, I had to call the company to find out that they couldn't bring me the pod I ordered. They didn't do nothing to help in the process. I was left stranded with no help and I have to find a moving company. And I have to leave the next day with my family. read more

These guys are super organized with all their communication and superb service to help guide you with lots of questions, including how much space you need if you were going to store it in a storage yard. I don't move allot so I wasn't sure. They charge by how much space you use on the trailer and it's very straight forward. They work with a company called Moving Staffers who will load up and unload your materials when you arrive. We had a hard time getting a trailer because so many people are moving out of California that they have had to turn down business because most of their trailers are outside of California. But when you're done, you just click on the text and it will give you a pick up date for the trailer and your done. I would use Upack again if I am ever going to move. read more

I'm surprised how many negative reviews there are for this company! I had a very positive experience! I did SO much research on moving companies and PODS and so on and this was definitely the best option for people on a budget! Charged us $1050 to move our stuff from Denver to LA on a trailer in 3-5 business days when PODS quoted us a base price of $1600 for less space. As in the title, you pack it yourself so its playing Tetris for a few hours on how to get your stuff to fit in your allotted space in the trailer. PACK it tight! Stuff will move and shift around while driving. Thankfully nothing was broken or lost during the move. Everyone was very helpful before, during and after the trailer was dropped off and picked up. Now I am giving it 4 stars because the day of the arrival was a bit tricky. They do not do drop offs or pick ups on weekends. Our trailer was supposed to arrive on a Friday unsure of a time. We got a call Thursday night saying our trailer had arrived in Los Angeles but if a driver wasn't available to drop it off in the North Hollywood area we would have to wait until Monday to receive our trailer.... So our trailer would just be sitting in a ABF facility less than 30 minutes away over the weekend because a driver wasn't available...that didn't make much sense to me after we were told it would be there no later than Friday because they picked up on a Monday morning. Other than that I had no issues with this company. No hidden fees and no sketchy business! read more

Fantastic service from start to finish. My cube arrived quickly with almost zero damage or shifting. They make everything easy, from reserving the cube to having it picked up. The customer service reps were super friendly and understanding. Probably the biggest issue is that they're closed on weekends and holidays, and they can't do same-day pickups and dropoffs, so that limits the days on which you can take care of your move, especially if your parking/pod storage situation is tight. It was really tough to get everything scheduled around a major holiday. read more

This is the second time I have used upack. Found it be the most economical, quickest and flexible way to move household items. I would certainly recommend upack. Especially the fact that you can order any number of containers and gets charged only for the one that is used/locked is the best usp for upack. Also couple of days of free storage at destination helps ,one less botheration during your move.thanks read more

Blah, blah, blah. I read all this stuff about how U-Pack made moving across country "a breeze" and how "delightful" moving was. But guess what? Moving sucks. From scrounging around for flimsy boxes; running out of stupid bubble wrap, packaging tape, and old Auto Trader newspapers; to breaking your prized Starship Enterprise model with working lights (the humanity!!) It all just f*cking sucks. And that's JUST the moving "from" part and not the moving "to" part where you have to unpack all of your stuff that shifted in the truck and broke and leaked oil, battery acid, or aquarium water (yep, fish died) during the bumpy, rainy, windy drive. Can I say ANYTHING good about moving? Yes, U-Pack and ABF did an exceptional job at moving all of my stuff from Los Angeles to Tucson. And they even went above and beyond what they needed to by dropping off a U-Pack pod in my driveway then when it was empty, trading it for another full one (I can't believe how much crap I had!) for no extra charge. Efficient, pleasant, and prompt. The only good part about moving. read more

This is the 4 th time I have used Upack . Everyone and I mean everyone was outstanding . We moved from Southern California to Pennsylvania Total of 4 Pods 2 times . Except for the miscalculation on my part for number of pods it went splendid . Now the reason for the 5 stars . After moving to Plum Pennsylvania our rental was very small I discovered when arriving . The last 2 pods content were not going to fit . I spoke with storage to ask if I could have pods delivered and picked up next day . They said nope but they could be picked up same day . I explained that's impossible . Spoke with Nick in dispatch for ABF and they said we can do it ! I was shocked no way does that happen in So Cal. The driver Tom met us at the time he said Unloaded everything and Tom happily took his lunch hour while we worked unloading . Tom then proceeded to share all kinds of wonderful knowledge to me about Pittsburgh. It was a great day . Talk to these folks and they will help you out Big hint overestimate 1-2 pods for everything it won't cost anymore in estimate . Thanks Karen read more

Best service. Best Price of all carriers! Booked two 28 ft trailers to move the contents of my 5 bedroom home from So Cal to Kansas. The trailers showed up on time for packing and the trailers arrived when expected with no added hidden costs or surprises! BTW.. If for any reason I didn't need to use the 2nd trailer they would come pick it up and not charge me a dime for it. Who else does that? The bottom line is this: The quote I got is what I paid when delivered. The drivers were great, the customer service was excellent and the dispatchers were courteous, friendly, helpful and answered all questions. If you're moving and are looking for the best service for the best price then don't waist your time (like I did) getting quotes from other moving services. U-Pack is the best. read more
