I had an absolutely wonderful experience with them. They were easy to get hold of for questions. They showed up during the windows given. Even though the containers look small from the outside, they actually hold quite a lot. I thought I would need two, but I ended up only needing one container to clear out my storage locker. My stuff was shipped from California to Alaska. My TV survived intact and the items actually moved around a lot less than feared. read more

Service requested - good. Quality of the pod - good. Value - reasonable, but the delivery placement and care depend upon the driver's experience. They DO NOT honor legitimate, proven claims. We are left with damaged goods, and a destroyed expensive TV. BE WARY when doing business with this company. Around the beginning of July (2025) we signed a contract with this company to deliver 4 pod units for us to use during our move. Everything went well with the first 3 pods. The 4th pod contained some items which meant a great deal to our family, so we took out the insurance coverage, which the company offers for an additional fee. By this time our family members had become pros packing the pods, arranging items securely. The driver who delivered the 4th pod was inexperienced, which we learned. As he positioned the loaded pod in the driveway, the pod swayed, shaking the contents, then he lowered it too quickly onto the driveway, causing it to drop the last couple of feet. About an hour later, when we tried to open the tailgate, it was jammed. A couple of the large items had been moved just enough to impede the opening of the door. Those items were damaged, along with a large screen LCD TV, which had been secured near the rear, wrapped in blankets. When we filed a claim, we followed all steps listed, including photos of the damaged items. Without going into the specifics of the back-and-forth communications, they have given us the runaround, thus denying the claim. Don't take out the insurance. It's a scam. read more

Outstanding from start to finish. We used the entire 28 feet and was perfect for the cross country move. Their staff are amazing and super helpful. When the driver delivered the trailer he was great and showed us how to use the ramp system. I mention this because we almost made the mistake of going with Estes who does not guarantee a ramp. Overall, pretty easy and accommodating for our out of state move. Trailer arrived on time; the bulkhead doors and ramp are heavy as heck so when I was trying to move those around I seriously considered if the price difference for Upack and PODS (where they just set the unit on the ground) was worth it. The size of the holes on the walls made use of my tie downs tricky, but if you pack high and tight like they say you don't really need those. Make sure you take a picture of the footage you use. I had to call when I noticed they charged me for an extra foot, but this was easily reversed without a fight. There was some miscommunication about needing to be there for the truck pickup/sendoff; you don't have to be there for that part, which is nice. Delivery at my new address was within the expected 5-7 business days and when I called the morning of delivery day they were able to give me a more specific window of time. I commend the driver who tried and tried to get the truck up my tricky, curvy driveway. We even removed some fence posts to no avail. He put a lot of extra time and patience in trying to make it work. We ended up with it backed in and borrowed a neighbor's little tractor for help getting pieces up the rest of the way. So unfortunately we did have to deal with this trailer blocking the driveway over the weekend waiting for pickup... but the alternative of dealing with "full service" movers who swindle and nickel and dime you and hold your stuff hostage (past experiences) was not happening. Watch out for those other guys, seriously. U-Pack was great, would use again. read more

With all the horror stories I heard about moving companies. I was hesitant to try anyone. But I had heard so many good reviews about U-Pack. I made a reservation of June 30th because that's literally all they had. Even though I needed a truck for June 10. But they suggested I call back once or twice a week. Maybe someone would cancel or switch there reservation. Great suggestion on there part Which I did. Took 2 weeks but was able to get a new reservation June 16th. Worked out great!! They dropped off the 16th Thurs and picked up Monday 20th. Did not have any problems. Drop off only took until that Saturday. So we were only without our things for 1 night. I was surprised how fast they got there. There were a few broken things. Nothing major. Just a few pictures and a few scratches. But ultimately that's on us because we packed it. Great experience in all. Trailer was on time. Driver was very helpful in how to pack securely. Ramp and walls were VERY heavy so we didnt use ramp. Items arrived in great condition. The cost was comparable to UHaul but I didnt have to drive over the mountains and gas was included. I would definitely use them again. Office staff were also very helpful and courteous. We made a long distance move from California to West Virginia. We needed two 28ft trailers; we filled one and half the other. The driver, Mitch, who brought them to us to fill was great! He was friendly and gave us thorough instructions on how to load the trailers, how to properly secure them with our locks, what to do when we were ready to have them picked up and what to do when we arrived at our location. All of our belongings made the trip safely and securely. The driver, Chris, who brought them to us at our destination was very nice and did a get job maneuvering the trailers so it would make it as easy as possible for us to unload. Chris gave us good instructions as well and he brought the receipt documents to us. Each driver had to make two trips to drop off and pick up the trailers and they did not have one complaint about doing it. U-Pack was a great option for my cross country move Fresno-Atlanta. The call center staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous without being pushy. The local ABF office was also easy to work with and accommodated my needs. Even the driver was extremely helpful getting the bulkhead situated and loaned me some extra straps to secure the load. I would recommend this company if you are moving yourself and don't want to actually drive your stuff to the new destination. Things were delivered on time and communication was excellent. The only suggestion is to check the equipment carefully on delivery. The bay door was very difficult to lift past a couple feet but the good part is that was corrected before it was delivered to me to unload. They do give you a different loading ramp and the one I got on the delivery end was bent so that the dolly had a hard time going over it and when you are unloading 26 feet of items, some of which are heavy and the dolly is unstable going over the ramp, it is more than a pain and could be dangerous so just check everything carefully on delivery. Highly recommend U-Pack for moving. We moved from California to Oklahoma and didn't have a single thing broken we packed it well and there was no issues with transit across the states. We were pleased overall with this option. We were moving from CA to MT. The cost was so much less than Uhaul that we had to give it a try. The customer service was really good. It is so convenient to be able to pack the truck up at your place over a couple day period. The draw backs that we found were that the ramp is very heavy and hard to move plus much narrower than a regular ramp. The only other issue we had is that they don't service many areas where we were moving so we had to meet the truck 142 miles from our new home and transfer everything into a large Uhaul for the final stretch. read more
