There were a couple trucks parked when we entered the shopping center on the SE corner of Congress and Lantana. My husband knew they were not the right ones. We drove around to find the Family Dollar store. Yes! Right where they said they'd be. There was even a picnic table right out front where we could dine. You order and pay at the window. Your food is packed to go which worked out as we brought a few things home. They do a lot of takeout, obviously. My husband got a pulled pork sandwich. I got the rib sandwich. We shared a small order of baked beans. And he also got some banana pudding. His pulled pork was tender. He added some of their sweet sauce to taste. Ate every bit. My rib sandwich was also very good. I had it open faced. Didn't even need to add sauce. And brought a couple ribs home. The baked beans were fantastic. Nice bits of meat and great flavor. The pudding was my least favorite -- I only had a taste, but too many cookies for me. We even got to meet Howard. He came out to check all was good. And later he said hi to a few of his regular customers. He told us everything is "house" made. What a nice touch to meet the chef/founder! I now know where we will come when we have a bbq craving. And I need to try their rib tips and brisket as well.

Parking in adjacent parking slots with a table, chairs and covering for shade is available for "dine here" customers. I chose the Howard's BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich and my wife and I shared some BBQ Beans. My pulled pork sandwich was a generous pile of tender pulled pork between two slices of white bread. I chose the tangy sweet BBQ sauce for my meat. Delicious and satisfying. Howard even stepped out to see how we were enjoying our meals. I got a Banana pudding cup for dessert which had lots of vanilla wafers!

We chose Brisket as our main, and enjoyed cornbread and mac n cheese both of which melted in your mouth with every bite. And tropical coleslaw added a bright twist to every crunch. Thank you! 5/5 PS the pickles were outstanding Ambiance was bright and airy inside and was a nice change from a typical smoky, dim-lit crouched in vibe of a traditional smoky palace.

See a card on the table to scan to order. Took us a bit to figure it out. We also wanted to order ribs to go for later. Couldn't find that as an option. Didn't want all the sides. Just ribs. Nobody came by seeing us take a while to order on our phones. Then we pay-. Food comes out fast but for $30 it's just ok because the portions were small. 4 slices of brisket. We're told when they drop off tray if we wanted sauce it's "over there" Up until we're finished and nobody comes to check on us. See if all is well. So - zero tip. Who are we tipping?? Sadly won't be back. Felt unfriendly. I have been wanting to come here for a while. Drove an hour. Customer service matters guys.

This is an almost chicago dog which comes with relish tomatoes and jalapenos. The bun was incredible as it was buttered and toasted and a good size hot dog bun! I really enjoyed my hot dog. The price for a dog was 5 dollars. It didnt come with any extras like the tater tots or a drink. Those cost extra if you want them. IF i ever see PS 561 again I would definitely buy another dog from their food truck. 5 Stars from me...because I love hot dogs and i love PS 561!

Thanks for taking the title to my 800th review :)…read more I finally got the honor of checking out this awesome food truck in downtown Lake Worth the other night for the Food Truck invasion event. The menu kicks ass. You can get a dog with different types of creative toppings. Each one of the menu items have a crazy name for them and it suits each one well. I wanted to try all of them, but I stopped myself from doing so. The Exchange Student was ahhhh-mmazing! It was topped with garlic mayo, pineapple, and potato chips. The bun was perfectly toasted with butter and I enjoyed each bite more than the last. My husband got the Principal Ron and it was topped with bacon, BBQ sauce, and goat cheese. I took a bite of his and it was good, but I wanted mine more ;) Kudos to the guy that was doing the orders that night since he was the only one on the truck doing all the work. Even though it was the longest line out of all of the other food trucks that were there, he quickly handled each order smoothly and didn't stressed about the crowd waiting for those delicious dogs. The schedule is online, so you can check out when and where you can get one or four of these delicious hot dogs. The $5 price is fairly reasonable for each one of them. I definitely will try a different one the next time I visit the truck.

But it's been 9 hours, and I still can't stop thinking about the Australian Wagyu Filet Katsu Sando I had for lunch. It was tiny, but packed a huge flavor, and it was the first time I ate a steak that melted like butter with every bite. It is amazing how a filet sandwich can be so soft, so tender, so flavorful - it's an experience that I won't soon forget. Because the sandwich was pretty small, I also enjoyed the Frito pie. The saltiness of the Fritos (that reminded me of being a child) juxtaposed with the tanginess of the pickled red onions, cream, cilantro and savory chopped wagyu meat was such a fun, but elevated nacho dish. There were so many drinks to choose from, but I really wanted to focus on the food this time. The staff (I think her name is Tuesday) was so kind and knowledgeable - she's the one who led me to the epic sandwich experience I had. The vibe was pretty chill despite being extremely busy. I'm typically not very cognizant of what people around me are eating, but the father and son at the table next to me had a burger, burrito, pb&j sando and more, and I have to admit, I was kind of jealous, because I wanted to try it all! What a gem of a restaurant - I have already made plans to come back with my parents!

Neither of us got sick but we both experienced oogly tummies and "bubble gut". I don't know if it's a side effect of all the fat in Wagyu or something else, but it is what it is. The food was still great! The service was great! And we had a good time...

It was very busy, which I completely understand, but the woman taking my to-go order was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Being busy is understandable, but it shouldn't affect how customers are spoken to or treated. The person taking orders is often the first interaction a customer has, and that experience matters. A little patience, professionalism, and courtesy goes a long way, even during a rush. We haven't been to PA BBQ in Boynton Beach in a while. We won't stay away as long the next time as…read morewe had a nice BBQ dinner on our recent visit. The restaurant has been refreshed a bit since our last visit with some new wall coverings and window designs, but it still looks somewhat dated. It was clean and the staff was welcoming, so we sat right down and focused on the food. PA BBQ is currently promoting their daily combo specials for $20.26 (yes, we noticed the clever play on the calendar year), and during the month of Sept. they are featuring a full rack of baby back ribs with two sides for that same $20.26. It's a great deal considering their regular menu price for this dinner is $34. I ordered the ribs and very much enjoyed them. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the sauce was delicious. As always, PA BBQ has bottles of 3 types of sauce available on the table: regular, extreme (spicy) and stupid (very spicy). Something for every taste! For my sides, I had well-done french fries and potato salad. The fries were cooked exactly how I wanted them with a nice crunch, and the potato salad was made with redskin potatoes and had a nice taste. My wife had the grilled BBQ chicken sandwich with a side of fries (not well-done). She requested a piece of corn bread instead of the bun and the server was able to accommodate that request. We appreciated that service. The corn bread at PA is lighter and sweeter than at other restaurants, which we like. The chicken portion seemed a bit small but it was tender and juicy. We were disappointed that the side of off-the-cob corn was no longer available on the menu. It was a fantastic item. PA now offers, for an upcharge, "street corn", which are strips of corn pieces sliced from the cob and covered with BBQ sauce and cheese. Sounds delicious but we miss the old corn offering. The restaurant wasn't crowded, even with the dinner specials being offered. On the one hand, that was good for us as the service was prompt, but we hope season brings the crowds (or at least a bigger crowd) as the PA offers a nice BBQ meal at a great price.

This is always a solid dinner spot, and the food was great as usual!…read moreThe service, however, was just okay and could have been much better. Our server continually forgot things throughout the meal. He forgot to pick up our beer from the bar for about 10 minutes, forgot lemons for our tea, forgot a side of cornbread, and a few other items. It made the meal feel a little disorganized. We ordered the ribs, wings, and Brunswick stew, and everything we had was delicious. The food definitely remains a highlight and is why we keep coming back. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed when I used the restroom on my way out. It was very messy and looked like it needed a deep cleaning, along with some general maintenance. Overall, the food was great as always, but the service and condition of the restroom took away from what could have been a much better experience. We'll still be back because the food keeps us coming!
