I'm so happy to leave this review, I always see reviews with the disclaimer that the person got some free service or product but this is just my experience as a regular customer. I am absolutely thrilled by the level of service, friendliness, and willingness to go above and beyond the staff at not one but BOTH pick up and drop off locations had. Bismarck ND and Winter Park FL staff were both equally amazing and so kind for my big cross country move. I cannot thank them enough! These will forever be my go to locations. Thank you gentlemen! After a 6 day travel, I wasn't even at the correct drop off and they told me do not worry one second, we will take care of you quick and easy. A million times over thank you. cannot recommend enough! read more

DO NOT USE U-Haul for pod box service.. We paid for guaranteed service for a cross country move. They were 4 days late and were UNhelpful every step of the way. Customer Experience had no visibility to our pod location because they use "3rd party" transportation. They said they call back on three occasions and never heard back. For being a large nationwide company I'm extremely disappointed in their lack of integrity and customer service. It's worth paying more using the Pods company (which I have used in the last). We had to pay for hotel and eating out which would have nearly cost the same as going with Pods but without the headache managing our own delivery tracking. read more

It's criminal to rent out a truck without any windshield wiper fluid. It was quite DANGEROUS at points. The windshield was very dirty - add sun glare - and you have me driving BLIND - for stretches at a time because there was no wiper fluid to clean off the windshield. Secondly, why was I allowed to rent from this place when they did NOT have SEVERAL of the items I requested in my order. Only to tell me - at the time of rental - they didn't have either of the two dollys and only one - not two - of the appliance hand trucks I ordered. I will never use this location again. The young guy at the counter was pleasant but whoever runs the show there ought to be dressed down for poor safety and poor equipment availability. Like I had time on my big "MOVE DAY" to go track down equipment at OTHER U-haul centers, racking up mileage on the truck while doing so. In other words, get charged by Uhaul while I hunt down the equipment that I ordered. NO thanks. read more

Self Storage air conditioning was broken, fans were not working, and the elevator were broken. Making it absolutely torture to move items out of storage. Notified that it would be fixed in the next few days. Doesn't really make it climate controlled. read more

I ordered a 8' pick up truck for 9 am. Confirmed my reservation. Next morning I took a Uber to the location. They didn't have the truck. They tried to give me a 10' truck. I didn't want it. So they sent me to another location in a different city. I had to Uber there as well. The truck was dirty. I was late to get to where I had to go. They refused to honor the 50$ reservation guarantee. Super dissatisfied with U-Haul. Even the contact us and live chat plays games with you. read more

Very unhappy with the customer service at this location. I will never return. Changed me $58.50 in fuel charges for 25 miles. A total of $133+ for 3 hours and 25 miles. Ridiculous! read more

The truck we got was very old and in poor condition. There were live cables hanging from the bottom of the dashboard on the passenger side, the smell of fumes made our clothes stink, the A/C in the truck did not work at times in the Florida heat, and the suspension made the truck really hard to drive. Additionally, their third party provider "MovingHelp" did not show up on the day of the move so I had to scramble and find other movers. When I asked if I could get an extra day with the truck given that their own movers didn't show they said no. When I asked if I could return the truck to a different location they also said no. So I got charged nearly $600 for an old truck that made everything smell like fumes, had mechanical issues, and the movers they recommended did not show. read more

Stopped by to pick up mattress moving bags and boxes. Johnathan R was excellent, he helped pick out the correct sizes for the beds and boxes I needed for the move. Johnathan helped carry my items to the car and with a little elbow grease he got it all in my accord. Thank you! read more

No need for any company to copy or photo both sides of a driver's license, period. I was obligated to help out a friends because I gave them my word. Had I known in advance that copying my license was necessary to rent from them I would have went elsewhere. read more

Super late leaving this review from my visit here about a month & a half ago, but that is just testimony to the service I received. Walked into this location for a reservation that I had for a 20' truck. This had been the third day that I had been running around Orlando & making phone calls after only needing the smallest truck to move a few things out of my girlfriend's apartment before the 1st of June & down to my house in Brandon, FL. Unbeknownst to me, that was next to impossible to find any kind of U-haul truck anywhere at the end of the month. Finally, found a truck - a 20-footer (which was way beyond what I needed). When I stepped inside, the lady at the desk greeted me, & I let her know of my situation, in hopes that something may have slipped through the cracks & there would be a smaller truck available for the day. She was very polite & friendly, however, she confirmed what I'd been told over the past few days, that there were no other trucks available. ...Then, Dion, chimed in! Overhearing our conversation, as he was at the desk right next to us, he mentioned that the exact truck size that I was looking for, was indeed available. Apparently, there was one truck that had a reservation for the following day was sitting in the lot. The lady at the desk reminded him that there was already a reservation booked for the next day, but he countered, "there's another truck returning first thing in the morning that will be available for that reservation." After looking over the records & confirming Dion comment, she agreed & Dion worked diligently to pull up the contract & accept my payment, & then went to pull the truck upfront. Though a month & a half late, I HAD to leave a review because Dion deserves it for his professionalism, quick-thinking, knowledge of the business & superb customer service. Not only did he take over the situation, he did so with a great attitude & made me feel at ease from the stress I'd gone through the last couple of days trying to secure a truck for the move for my girlfriend. He was great! I do believe that is Dion isn't already a supervisor, he should receive a promotion to become one. I do not remember my order/confirmation number, but I'm sure you can look up me up to confirm this is true. Once again, my name is Ian Santos, & on the 30th or 31st of May I rented a 10-foot truck from this location to Brandon, FL. ...All the best, Dion!!! read more

Got a clean and fully serviced truck. Nice mgr to help us out. Truck went the 1000 miles with no issues. Easy drive. It would be nice if there was a backup camera. Lots of room for a big guy to adjust seat back--better than the other guys. Nice ramp. read more

Rented a 6×12 cargo trailer. Upon return the GM Joshua, requested I back in the trailer between 2 parked trailers. I wasn't comfortable backing it in and he offered no assistance. After trying for 20 minutes I finally got it close enough to take off my truck. During that time I had also blocked in another customer who was getting mad and waving their hands at me. After moving for hours I surely wasn't interested in learning how to backup trailers. After making a complaint Joshua decided to call me and basically talked over me the whole time. His behavior is absolutely ridiculous. I will never return to this location. read more

This location was nice enough to accept our trailer we were dropping off on a one-way rental after U-Haul corporate directed us to drop off at a permanently closed location! Thanks very much for service that was above and beyond! read more

I made a reservation for Saturday, Jan 9 2021 to have a trailer hitch installed. I called the day before to confirm the appointment which was for 4 PM. I drove 30 minutes and arrived before 4. Upon arrival I was told that they don't install hitches after 3, and that the online reservation system shouldn't have booked it. I declined the opportunity to come back on Monday. That night the charge was on my credit card bill. Do not trust this reservation system. And the local people couldn't throw the company under the bus fast enough taking no local responsibility for this at all. It was all the company's fault. read more

We went there to get a van to move stuff. Lady at front desk and staff were unresponsive and VERY RUDE they refused to answer any questions and openly laughed at customers. Lines were long. Do not recommend read more

I moved recently and when I was price searching for the best truck rental, U-Haul Moving & Storage came up as a suggestion. I checked out the various truck rental types I could select, the price points, along with selecting some moving supplies and the entire truck rental process was seamless! When I arrived at the location, securing the vehicle was effortless and a piece-of-cake. Returning the truck was just as easy, and the price point was extremely affordable. I'll definitely use this place for my next needs on truck rentals. :) Cheers! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service, I reserved a rental for this location and still had to wait literally hours because the staff was confused and all providing me with different information. I do not recommend to ANYONE! read more

I would give this negative stars if I could. The manager and employee Daniel R. Gave me incorrect information & told me to the leave my rental and that everything was taken care of. 15 mins later I'm being asked to return and pick up the rental and drive it an hour away to an unscheduled location. I asked for the corporate phone number and district manager number. Daniel proceeded to call me rude and hang up on me without relaying any info. Called back several times befoe close and there was no answer( probably on purpose) one of the worst costumer service experiences I've ever encountered. Wouldn't recommend this location to anyone who likes good costumer service and efficiency. read more

I strongly believe that Christopher Myrick should not complain in front of guests about how "every fucking time he tries to leave this place on time" something happens, and how he "has to everything his fucking self." It was I believe 6:48, our appointment was for 6:45 but we had hit some bad traffic. The doors were locked despite the location closing at 7, which I confirmed with him. I have used this location previously with no problem, and I understand frustration with guests as I have only ever worked in customer service, but Christopher's hostile attitude towards my girlfriend and I made us very uncomfortable. We will not be coming back. read more

This U-Haul location is pretty nice. The staff is friendly, they have all the moving supplies you could possibly need, and quite a few different moving vehicles to choose from. I would recommend it over any other moving/truck rental company. The only problem I had with my experience was 1) there is not a lot of parking if you need to leave a car while you rent a truck. When I pulled in, all of the spots were taken. Luckily I took my car with me while we rented a truck, but others would have trouble. 2) it gets beet busy on Saturdays. If you want a specific truck size, make reservations beforehand. I came in with no reservations and had to rent a bigger truck than I needed to move my small apartment furniture (it costs more too). read more

I was charged an additional $27 for blankets I rented (rental price was $6-$8). I was told I could return them with my one way truck in West Palm Beach. Received one phone call well after the fact stating they were supposed to be returned to this location. The person I spoke to on the phone never informed me I would be charged for the blankets considering I had returned them with my truck. So I was basically charged $27 for nothing. read more

Horrible experience. I ordered a hitch on 2/22 to be installed on 3/2. I drove down there at my 1pm appt time and they told me the installer wasn't there and to come back at 3:30pm. I came all the way back at 3:30 to be told my hitch wasn't even there yet, they would look into it and call me. After several days of no call, I called them and was told it was on back order and should be there the next week. I called back a week later and still on back order. Another week goes by and I call back, speak with the manager Tiffany who reorders a different hitch which will be here in another week and she will call me. Another week goes by with no call. I called them and magically all the parts had arrived and I was told to come at 3:30pm that same day for the install. I arrive at 3:30 and am told my appt was for the following day (not true) but they would squeeze me in. 1.5hrs later and they still haven't even started the install. The entire time I am waiting, I see 6 employees, 5 out of the 6 are not wearing masks indoors at all. Not under their nose or chin... no mask at all, including the manager. 3.5hrs after my appt time, my hitch was done. They seemed to have done a good job and the installer was very friendly. However, this place is a disorganized, unsafe cluster and should be avoided at all costs. read more

We recently moved back home to Orlando from Boston and this is where we have a storage unit and where we dropped off our big U-Haul truck after the road trip. The storage units are nice and clean and seem to be fairly new. The store manager, Wayne, is really nice and will take care of any situation with class and professionalism. Jay was another staff member that stuck out with good hospitality and customer service skills. We were able to check in and unload all of our stuff without delay. We recommend this place for renting U-Hauls and for storage. Good business. read more

I have found them to be very expensive and just a side note, a Penske moving truck was less expensive then Uhauls 5x8' pull behind trailer. They are out to get your money, and don't care about their customers. Very UNSATISFACTORY!! Never ever again. Penske for me from now on!! Do yourself a favor. read more

In all the time my property was stored at this facility I had ONE good experience. The manager of the property Wendell is a thief!!! Moved out last week, prior to the end of my contract. A person was literally waiting to move into my unit. Wendell saw no problem charging the new person rent even though it was already paid by myself. When asked about a refund, I was told that wasn't operating procedure. They have no problem collecting double rent on a unit. That's just bad karma and bad customer service. I would encourage EVERYONE to NEVER use this location unless they like dealing with a crook. And DON'T pay for the climate control as the thermostat is conveniently located near the A/C return and not accurate for your unit. read more
