Came to get propane tank filled....was told they don't fill propane in the rain. Never heard this before and other places have done it.

I don't like to write negative reviews but my experience stayed with me. I was very unhappy with this UHaul, mostly with the GM, Chris. To put it nicely, he has no idea of customer service or how to treat customers. I rented a storage unit from this location for a long time (several years). Never late on rent. I came to Georgia to clean out the unit and asked Chris if we could have some help moving the washer and dryer out of the unit and into a U-Haul trailer (original plan was to give them to a friend across town, and also use a UHaul truck to move it over there). Chris said, "I can't force my staff to do anything." I was very taken aback and told him I wasn't trying to come across that way, I could just use some help. He didn't even apologize, just gave me a business card for a moving service UHaul offers. Luckily a friend came through and was able to help take the appliances off our hands, but the situation was unnecessarily unpleasant. When I turned my back Chris started talking with his employees at the counter speculating about my family and money situation and what had gotten me to keep a unit for so long in another state. I turned around so that he hopefully would know I got wind of the conversation and tersely said thanks for your help. No apology, didn't even seem taken aback or embarrassed for his actions. I gave this place two stars because they did take care of my stuff well (nothing was damaged and the facility is kept spotless) and the other staff members I encountered were very kind and helpful. I never also worried about the security of my unit all the years I had it. However, I have rented from other UHauls in Georgia, Oregon, and Pennsylvania and have never experienced anything like this. All the other places I rented from have been helpful and professional. After this happened I went out of my way to not patronize this specific location anymore, sometimes driving several minutes elsewhere to pick up packing tape and boxes needed for my move. I will never return to this location again. This location needs to understand that treating long-term customers with respect (even if they can't meet all the needs asked for) is necessary to keep a business running. read more

I rent frequently from this location. The manager was extremely aggresive I had a question about a second telephone number..he indicated I had a problem with providing it I told him i havent done so in the past Tomd him i would go to another uhaul location I did. They did not require a second telephone number Shame on this guy... Could only imagine how arrogant he is with the employees Uhaul should investigate this guy Ill drive the extra 2 miles to another location. Done for good read more

Just rented a utility trailer for two days. Upon arrival I was greeted with a very sour and bitter young lady behind the counter. Apparently I didn't use the correct lingo for her and she treated me like garbage. Once I pointed this out to her she said "please bare with me. It's been a long day". Really?? That's the customers problem? I would recommend the owner or manager to place the correct staff behind the counter. This young lady could have cared less about being the face of her company. I rent trucks at this location every 2-3 weeks for my business, have been doing so for a couple of years. I'm renting twice this week, as a matter of fact, and probably going to rent a storage space this week as well, as my business is growing and I need a nearby place to store excess inventory (furniture). Staff is almost always very friendly and helpful, trucks are always clean, unlike a couple of other local U-Haul locations I've used. read more

Unprofessional, Poor Management and Deceptive Business Practices! If you are in need of a storage facility, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. My wife and I reserved a storage unit at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Newnan over a month ago. During our brief recent experience, we experienced the following: - Told the unit we reserved (10x10) would actually be 2 smaller units (5x10) with significantly smaller doors, because "the system sometimes does that, and we don't have any control". This is a serious concern if you plan to move in furniture. - After getting into the (10x10) unit we originally requested, we found the unit rent was $10 more per month than quoted on the website in our reservation confirmation. - This facility is advertised as "24-hr access". However, after arriving at the facility after the office was closed with a loaded trailer, we were denied access by our key card. The after hours contact (Gen. Manager) was unhelpful, and did not even make an attempt to resolve the situation. He simply explained that 24-hr access was a separate elected option with additional cost. This was NEVER presented as an election during the reservation (online) or check-in (in-person) processes. In fact, we were assured that we could access the unit at any time by the staff during check-in. The lack of transparency and general ambivalence to the inconvenience it caused shows a distinct lack of respect for the customer. This company needs better management, better training and a customer service oriented attitude. I will never use this location again. read more
