Rented a car trailer for 2 days. When I picked it up they said if I were to drop it off a day early they would refund me my 2nd day. Well, I dropped it off an hour after my 24 hour period, but since they were "closing" they still are charging me for 2 days even though I brought it back an entire day early. Also the manager is very rude after calling and asking about my refund. She said "oh, I don't know why we would say that. You returned it an hour after your pickup time (ONE DAY EARLY) so you're being charged for 2 days. Just don't go there. It's worth going the extra miles to another u-haul to not deal with selfish & rude people that won't keep their word. read more

Never go here!! Went on Wednesday to rent the cargo van for Saturday. Said we wanted it for a few hours on Saturday starting at 10 am. We were handed our confirmation paper. Called UHaul on Friday and changed our pick up time by an hour. Showed up on Saturday only to be told that there must've been a reservation in the system ahead of us for the van and it would be back at 2 pm. Not acceptable. Why were we not told this when we were in on Wednesday?? Found another UHaul place that had a cargo van available. They said story we were told in Monroe was very unlikely. Couldn't even find our reservation in the system. Don't go to the one in Monroe. Can't trust them to have your reserved vehicle and HORRIBLE customer service!!! read more

I have never done business with a business that is as unresponsive as this place. U Haul has no interest in serving it's clients. I've done business with U Haul in three cities over 30 years. This location is the worst. They seem to go above and beyond trying to welch late fees. The manager, Marc Furguson has never returned my calls since February. The customer service is atrocious. The ability to go above the errant manager's head is nonexistent. Therefore I will never do business with U Haul again. read more

I needed information on renting a storage unit, truck, equipment, and boxes for an upcoming move. Unaware of the hours of operation, I walked through the automatic door at 7:04 on Saturday evening 6/5. I was with my younger son as we made it 3 steps into store and were greeted with an associate yelling from across the store "Sir We are Closed!!" Can't I just buy some boxes, I replied. Again, because what other type of personality does an individual have that follows the path of least resistance, she yells "NO"! Thank you, I replied. Four minutes!! Lol. I arrived 4 minutes after closing time and I was refused service of any kind. Not even honored basic information of the products and services of this establishment. More importantly is how fast can they get this costumer out of the store and off the premises without even the respect of try to get my business the following day. Does Uhaul know that they are paying individuals to drive away customers. Does this store even have management? Does the company moto reflect anything about customer service? Ok, so your not interested in booking me a truck, equipment, and a storage unit to assist me with my move. I really think you could have sold me some boxes, and a roll of tape, at 7:04. read more

Rude owners, got aggressive after being rude, don't rent trucks from here. They cancel reservations.

Don't waste your time! I paid for a hitch and wiring install. The first time blinkers were not operating so I took it back and had to plead with them to fix it without charging me. When I got home after their "fix" I realized that the brake lights on my car weren't working. I decided to go to the Ann Arbor Uhaul and the tech there discovered the wires going to the brake lights were cut. Not only were they cut, Steve (the General Manager at Monroe) cut them so short the wire connector needs to be replaced. read more

Steve, the manager, is awesome. He has great customer service and a bubbly personality that makes this whole "moving" thing a little better. My husband and I contacted him the day before our scheduled pick up and Steve was prompt and resourceful. When we arrived early AM to pick up the truck, he was ready and started the process right away. All details were explained and paperwork complete in a very timely matter. I'm sure Steve got us the best deal/price!! Forget the automated service call system- GO SEE THIS GUY. Thanks Steven! read more
