I know that there are bad experiences and life happens but this guy is truly one of a kind when it comes to disrespectful and unprofessional workers when I arrived with my u-box I asked politely to this guy where I could drop it off sighed and turned back to which he told me 4 sentences in 3 seconds he spoke as fast as he could because he was even mad to talk to which I then asked him "what?" And he responded with just go inside. I decided to just the other worker a few feet away and he was able to help me immediately and told me where to leave it and since we did have a second truck once again the driver asked him where to park to which he showed us in the most disrespectful way possible then finally when my co-worker got out the truck and the U-Haul worker said "f*ck*ng id*ot" under his breath which was the last straw so my coworker told him to sh*t up. I am writing this review because I know some people won't stand up for themselves and this guy doesn't deserve to work at U-Haul. Went to uhaul to have a voyager break controller installed on my fj cruiser. When I called and got my quote and appointment the person seemed completely confused. I decided to go in and talk to them in person and the manager gave me a completely different quote. When I arrived for my appointment the new person behind the counter gave me another quote. They told me the manager put the info into the computer wrong. 3 quotes from 3 different people. Finally got it installed. First trip with my controller and does it work???? Of course not. I looked at the instructions and it won't pass the setup part. It also says it's supposed to be mounted horizontally and it's clearly not. When talking to the manager to get it fixed he's just being a jerk instead of apologizing. They should be desperately trying to fix the problem instead of making excuses and being unreasonable and getting me scheduled in a proper amount of time. You might be able to clearly use them to rent your moving equipment or storage units but I would not trust them with your personal vehicle at all. He even admitted that they don't follow the instructions when installing the unit. All they do is hook it up to a metal box and all that they care is that it passes the test of this metal box. read more

This is one of the better U-Haul rentals that I have been to. The process was quick and easy, and one can leave one's car in their parking lot for a while. The return process was also painless. Everyone, I dealt with, was helpful. The trucks and the van that I rented were clean too. The reason that they lost one star is because every time I went there (three times in a month) one or more employees where not wearing a mask. It made me feel uncomfortable and not wanting to touch their equipment. All I wanted was propane. I arrived around noon, and waited in line like everyone else. I got to the front and was told the guy who did the propane was in front helping someone else, so I waited for him to come back in. When he did, he went to the bathroom, then the employee lounge. I was then told by the first guy he was on lunch, could I come back in an hour. I was not happy, but was polite and left. I did come back later, and got in line again. This time I waited about 45 minutes. Then I was asked to move my truck so they could get one of theirs out. Fine. I did so, and returned to the propane station. I finally tracked the propane guy back inside, and as he was walking towards me, asked politely if he was the propane guy (I already knew he was). He didn't stop walking, didn't even look in my direction, walked right by me, said "Nah", went into the employee lounge, got some sort of tool, walked right back by me and ignored me again, and went back outside. I never got my propane, don't know if I ever would have gotten my propane. I've used U Haul several times in the past, but not this station, and received superior service. I've never been treated so rudely in my entire life. It seemed like this employee had some sort of chip on his shoulder, though I had been nothing but patient and polite. I arrived at this location to get propane just behind another young man, probably in his 20's. We both parked and got our tanks out. He walked up to the station and pushed the bell that is there to alert the staff that someone is outside waiting for propane. I dont know how many times he pushed the button but he only pushed it a few seconds so it couldnt have been more than about 4 times, maybe less. About two minutes later a large Uhaul employee (name tag) Joel, walked out obviously upset about something, took a huge swing and smashed the bell button, knocking it off the wall and with his finger pointed in the young guys face yelled threateningly at him that he only needs to push the bell twice not 30 times!! Then he picked up the bell button off the ground and took it back into the store. He came back a few minutes later and pumped the young guys propane an collected the money. The young guy left and he then pumped my propane. While pumping my propane he said. Sorry im a little cranky but that guy just kept ringing that bell in my ear and im tired of it. I said, "you must be having a bad day" He said nope, good day im going home soon. What amazingly awful service. Terrible attitude. Not trained or disciplined well or he would not think he could get away with that. Very sad. Hopefully the management agrees and will retrain this guy or redirect his career to someplace he doesnt deal with people. read more

The wait time is ridiculous, I would call Ryder I'm sure they can help in a timely manner. So I would use anyone else beside these idiots. I run an automotive shop and I have never treated customers like this. Felt rushed and had the need to connections done by the employee. They gave also gave me a different trailer than I had reserved. Came 15 min later to exchange @ 5min until closing and the employee that had me drop off the trailer off said he couldn't do anything because "the computers were already shut down. I asked to speak with his supervisor and the employee came back within 30 seconds and told me his manager was not available to speak with me and said I quote "Sorry homie, we all gotta go home" speaking about him and his co-workers. This employee was rude and I do have an issue with his customer service. Keep in mind that I was being very polite and at no point had an attitude. I left the trailer on-site with my paperwork and asked that he pass it along to his manager and to call me if there was going to be an issue with a refund. A few days later I called in as I had not yet received a refund. The associate I spoke with had never done this refund process and had to need to call someone else for instructions. The call took about 20 minutes for him to complete the form (terminology ?). This employee was helpful and polite, to complaints there. A week later I still had no credit, I called back in. This employee was also polite and I have no complaints with his help. Unfortunately all he could tell me was that he thought the paperwork had been submitted but was unable to see the status. He suggest that I speak to his manager, but his manager had already left for the day. This was not a big deal, I ask for him to leave a note/message and have his manager a call when he had time the next day. The employee said he would print out my file and leave the message. I waited 2 days and received no call from a supervisor. I called my bank and told them what was going on, they credited the money and told me they would take care of the rest. All this because the associate I returned the trailer to(Pick-up day - 5 minutes before posted closing hours) , was in a rush to go home and his manager whom he said was unavailable wouldn't help. I'm a pretty good judge of character and I'm in sincere doubt that he even spoke to his manager when I requested to speak with him. I will probably have to use a U-Haul trailer again in the near future for convince sake, I will never visit this location again. read more

You can't get service, when you rent a truck and it breaks down.... good luck getting help when you're trying to move your home. Their attitude is poor and customer service non-existent. I reserved a moving truck from Uhaul about a month ago and was called this week to say that in a 200 mile radius they had NO trucks for my pick up date, let alone the size I reserved. I asked what I might do instead as we are moving to another state and my lease was ending. They recommend I use a full service moving service or try a competitor. Wow UHaul you really let us down! I was originally going to give this location a 5 star review but changed my mind when I read my bank statement this morning. When I first rented my van, I was happy with great quality and low cost of the vehicle. The staff was pleasant and easy to talk to and I was in, out and on my way in a matter of minutes. I had only rented the vehicle for one day and it was great. I could fit everything in the vehicle with no problem and it was kinda fun to drive. Win/Win in my book. But it became apparent that I needed it for another day, so I called this location to rent it for 24 hours again. I was transferred to a lady in the scheduling department who helped me set up my rental for the 2nd day. In a matter of minutes I had another 24 hour rental and I was all set up to go. Here is where my problems started. I received a call around Noon from this location telling me that my rental was supposed to have been returned at 10am. The nice lady in the scheduling department had told me that it wasn't due until 4pm. We cleared up the confusion, and by 3.45pm I returned the vehicle and payed the remaining balance in cash. From here, everything seemed good. I was 100% under the impression that everything was payed for and taken care of. I'd cleaned the van, 'sold' back some large boxes and even put more fuel in the vehicle than was required of me. So imagine my surprise to look at my bank statement today and see another charge to my card in the amount of $42. I called the location asking to speak to a manager... and was transferred to a customer support line... After explaining the situation to the nice lady there, I was transferred to the Regional Office. After again explaining the situation, I was told that because the situation is an absolute mess, they have to file an internal dispute and do an investigation in order to figure out what happened and if they, in fact, over charged me. I now have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for the Regional Office to make sense of this mess and then POTENTIALLY refund my money. read more

For the most part the rental process was relatively easy and simple. The truck I rented was functional and did its job and I had no issues. However, when I arrived for my reserved and pre-checked-in rental, I had to wait in line for an hour because their systems were apparently being slow. None of the items I had added to my reservation (packing supplies and tarps) were ready and I mistakenly assumed they were ready to go in the vehicle I rented - they weren't. I wasn't about to stand back in line for an hour again just to get them, so I ended up buying those supplies at a nearby Fred Meyer instead. U-Haul's loss, I guess. Anyway, on the whole, I did get the truck I needed to get the job done that was required and the return process was simple. read more

This place parks there moving trucks right in front of your unit when there is parking available for the trucks, which means you constantly have to re park your vehicle(to let others by) as their is only one way in and out. The wait is terribly long for the line and their system is always down. The service people are always ready to go on break. read more

I visited this U-Haul location on 7/1/2020. I was told I would be charged $86.97 for renting the U-Haul and that I needed to have it back that day by 6PM. I rented the U-Haul at about 2PM so I would have been paying 86.97 for only about 4 hours. When I told my friends I only had the U-Haul for that short of a time they informed me that I should be allowed to use the truck for 24 hours. When I called to explain the situation to the U-Haul store they gave me a hard time. And when I arrived the next day to drop off the truck they attempted to charge me for 2 days although I hadn't even had the truck for 24 hours. The employee started banging his work phone on the wall and screaming the F word infront of everyone in the store. His name on his tag red "Joel D.". Your employees are trying to scam people for sales and are extremely unprofessional. I can't believe they are allowed to treat their customers this way. read more

Uhaul got our stuff here to Oregon from Ohio, but the way the box is set up absolutely sucks. The door was bolted shut, the lock didn't work, and the wood was falling off. Absolutely horrible. We will not be using another uhaul box, and for the place in Gresham, the people are nice, but the parking lot is very small and hard to move in. read more

This location gets 5 stars! U-Haul as a company gets 1. Mike and Marcus did good work, especially considering U-Haul's lack of decent online account integration with their in-store systems. When I spoke with them about some troubles I'd had that were weather-related, they were very understanding and did what they could to accommodate me. They worked with U-Haul's sluggish and redundant systems to get our info squared away - we were dropping off a truck and tow dolly as well as reserving a storage space. It took some time but they made sure everything was correct and that we were correctly reimbursed for our first month of storage as well as our extra boxes. Walked away very happy with this location, but disappointed in U-Haul's overall treatment of customers. It did take some time to get everything taken care of, but I feel that was more on U-Haul's end than this location. Owner Bill was on-location and doing his best to help other customers too, I noticed. Seemed like a good crew all around. As a company, however, I can't recommend U-Haul. Our problems with them first began with their system of "reservations" - what a joke! U-Haul apparently doesn't consider our month-prior online reservation actually reserved until they call the *day before we pick up the truck*. In our case, that meant we got lucky and the truck WAS available, but 45 minutes away. We had to rearrange OUR schedule to accommodate U-Haul's LACK of scheduling. You don't call something a reservation without actually making sure it's reserved, U-Haul. Oh, and the $50 "guarantee"? That doesn't apply to your original online "reservation". It applies to the day-before-you-need-the-truck reservation when the U-Haul rep (very possibly in another town) calls you. This is why you had that class-action lawsuit that you settled, U-Haul! Make sure you keep all your paperwork - original contract, any receipts you get from U-Haul, everything - it will make it much easier for the good people in-store to help you. read more

This uhaul location has had a bad reputation of misleading of their services. This morning I went to pick up my trailer, it turns out it was release with out any notification to me, I did noticed they had another one there available, person behind counter said it was taken, I thought this wa not professional on their part, will never rent from this crappy uhaul place. Due to a known issue with uhaul's system I had to have a discrepancy fixed from July of last year. Even though the location was still open nobody could reach them (myself or customer service) so I ended up having to pay out over $200 (in addition to an extra day of truck rental & a freezer full of food that now has no place to go). Customer service, after repeated calls to them & managers closing the case inaccurately as "resolved", are refusing to even attempt to make things right. Granted, $70 of the extra costs was for a hotel, however due to their lack of concern to fix a known issue in the computer system, my only other option was to sleep in the grass along the side of the street. read more

I rented a large storage space for two months. I reserved on line and when I got there to put my things in storage the staff was very helpful. When I moved my things out I ran out of space on the moving truck and I had to leave a couple of large items there and go back later to pick them up. The staff really worked with me and didn't charge me extra for going over my rental time by a few days. They saw I was really trying to get those items out. This is a busy location but they are well staffed, and you might have to wait s few minutes at times, but I never had an excessive wait. I felt good about the security and it was clean. read more

Worst experience in all of my dealings with U-Haul locations across the country. Rented a truck to make a simple move, and was not specifically told all of the hidden fees and charges I was going to be experiencing. I was quoted the price, and when I return the truck ...turned out to be three times the amount of what I was quoted. When I spoke to the manager in charge, I was talked down to, cut off repeatedly, and told she would do nothing to write this wrong. I do not recommend doing business at this location ever! read more

I have had a storage unit here for 15 months. Have been in to grab something from storage 3 times in as many months. Every single time, the doors are locked hours after the place opened. So we walked to the front office, every time. And each time I walked in on a minimum of 4 employees standing around doing nothing. Once I walked in to hear 3 employees making fun of a fourth employee. That one had to walk me back to the back of the property to unlock the offending door. Today, there were 4 employees chating about Halloween when we walked in, 2 hours after they opened to ask if they would mind opening. The customer service here is a joke, what company Dosnt unlock their doors until 2 hours after their posted hours, and only after customers have to ask? Their employees can't even be bothered to stop verbally abusing each other when customers are in the room, or be bothered to do their basic job, such as unlocking doors. Awful place... Never been more dissatisfied. On top of it all we received an email raising out rent, citing high expenses to protect our property. Followed by an email telling us our property was at risk (though they say if I pay them my things are safe...especially now that my payments have gone up....) and trying to sell me insurance. Horribly run location. Uhaul should be ashamed. read more
