We always use uhaul for our moving needs. And we move A LOT! I used the competition once and there was hidden fees and the insurance is crazy, not to mention the customer service was horrible! Uhaul is very affordable and I like that u can schedule online and pickup without even going inside the building. They are always helpful on the phone when we call with questions. Don't ever patronize this place. They gouged me on my storage unit rental - charged an entire extra month beyond what was due. Never got that money back. Even worse, TWICE after I'd paid and ended my contract (and moved out of state) my credit card was billed for OTHER PEOPLES' accounts. When I called the owners acted totally clueless and blamed U-Haul national, even though the receipts I got (in which I paid for other peoples' truck rentals!!) showed all of their local office info. After weeks of phoning and emailing, I received an email saying I'd be getting a refund of $19.95 which NEVER hit my card, MEANWHILE the full amount I'd been erroneously charged was nearly $100. As understand this establishment is privately/franchised owned. As a result, accountability and responsibility are next to none existence. For example: I have a reservation to pick up on 8/13/2023 @9am with professional movers waiting to hit the ground running @930am. Arrived to Sunset Storage/Uhaul at @845am waited till 915am and no shows-office remained closed with no one insight. Waited for another 20 minutes and still no shows. At this point, I was getting worried - called the office no answers. I then called the main U-Haul line and they too have no ideas what's happening with this establishment. I then scrambled calling other U-Haul dealers with no luck on trucks and this point I am deep into 11am paying two professional movers without having them doing anything!!! Finally, got a much smaller truck cuz I had no other options cuz bigger trucks are sold out for that day! Overall: my moving costs me 5 times more than expected! This was all because this establishment FAILED to open like a normal professional business supposed too. I strongly recommend to not relying on this establishment if you are looking for accountability, reliability and responsible business. Btw. When calling to complaint, the Manager offered me a $5 Star Bucks gift card for my trouble....LMAO!!! WoW!! read more

Be advised if you call this location, the person who you are talking to may be in a U-Haul call center and speaking as if they are in the store. That is important because they will tell you certain moving supplies are in stock when in fact this location is only minimally-stocked with moving supplies. I wasted time driving here when in fact the store with full selection of moving supplies is on West TV highway. The person at desk was friendly, but this wasted my time and gas unfortunately. read more

Top side passenger window had a crack that was unseen in the road dirt. Took photos and walked back to dealer to pick up my car and tell her the window was cracked. She took photos from my phone. Initially she tried to imply that the crack happened in my possession, which would have meant driving two blocks to Waterhouse and walking back caused a hidden crack. On some level I felt she missed the crack on a previous inspection and was going to hang it on the next customer's insurance. She agreed that she missed it and held me harmless. Rented this on Sunday to move a student from Seattle back to Beaverton. The dealer asked for the van storage area to be broom clean, which is fine, but the rest of the van was filthy and smelled like a ashtray. The following morning the bill came, the hyperlink given for the email was hinky, I wrote and asked for clarification on the bill. That was Monday and now Wednesday there is still no response from the business. read more

I have used this particular U-Haul and have had a very good experience. I'm not giving it 5 stars because we all have room to grow. June and Shay (not sure spelling) have always provided me with friendly customer service and made my moving experience easy. The new 24/7 app experience using uhaul is dreadful. It took me more than an hour to pick up and return the vehicle. I've done this before and was able to pick it up from the Arco attendant within minutes. This was appalling! I only needed to go down the street and the most time took fame from he pick up and return process because the online process has a lot of bugs. read more
