I decided to try out their Tarzana location and was not disappointed. Francisco and Sergio were excellent with helping me decide on mats and framing. If you need something framed - or a map, poster or print, glued to a board this is the place to go - I have had a 2 maps glued to board so I could display them on the wall - the work was perfection, not a wrinkle anywhere. When I had an old piece that had not been hung and subsequently curved - Sebastian solved that problem by making a frame around the piece to enable me to hang it - the cost was minimal and the work enabled me to finally display the piece properly. I cannot praise them enough. I recommend them to anyone I hear mention they require items framed. I'm not sure if the ownership has changed in the last 2 years or the staff is not skilled in framing cross stitch. My experience was completely different 2 years ago when I brought my 1st cross stitch in for framing. I will say Francisco was very professional and stood behind the poor workmanship. 3 Failed Attempts: 1) Cross stitch was not stretched properly. 2) Cross stitch was stretched properly but thread was cut and frayed on one of the upper case letters. Another upper case letter had threads pulled from behind the canvas over lapping the letter. 3) Thread was cut to a single strand when 2 strand thread was used for number. It was my 6th visit to the store (dropping off & picking up), trying to give them every opportunity to get the job right. I corrected the damaged to the letters they caused on the 2nd attempt. On the 3rd attempt I was given a full refund. read more

U-Frame It Gallery is NOT what one would think - you do not necessarily frame it yourself (which was what we thought initially)! We found a beautiful vintage 6-panel Disney princess-style art piece and wanted to get it framed for my sister's birthday but after calling around and checking prices we were in total shock as to how much custom framing costs as we've never done it before. We decided to try and frame it ourselves with an old metal frame but we needed to get cut down to size. We called around and were recommended to U-Frame It Gallery by the sports memorabilia place down the street and it was the best recommendation! We spoke to Francisco over the phone and brought in the frame to ensure it could be cut. After showing him the frame and casually discussing our goals we ended up going with U-Frame It Gallery for the whole thing - cutting the frame, adding a mat with six mounts and backing. My wife and I bought a custom hand painted tiled piece of art from Positano, Italy. Unfortunately during shipping it was damaged. The artist then made us a new one in Italy but this time shipped it with all the tiles and frame wrapped separately. At a loss, we didn't know what to do. We brought both the damaged piece and the separate tiles and frame to Adriana and her husband at U-Frame-It. While they had told us they never engaged in a project like this, they not only revived the damaged piece, but also exquisitely pieced together with meticulous precision all the new tiles into the new frame in a safe and secure fashion.
