I can confidently say that this is the most advanced practice in the area with the best tools, technology, and knowledge. First let me review the actual dental office: When I walked in, I immediately felt safe and at home. It's a professional office that looks like an adorable big house on a safe, well manicured street in an easy to find area. (With plenty of parking) and inside it looks like a home really rooted in family values. The reception desk is big and relaxed next to a homey waiting room lined with windows. The dental chairs are private, and they have instant x-rays, water picks to get your teeth extra clean, and the kindest warmest staff helping their patients feel comfortable. I have sensitive teeth so I was offered numbing cream for my gums before I started my cleaning. - there were even kids having a fun time at their appointments, and they had toys to pick from at the end. Dr. Elizabeth Spindel is kind, warm and positive too. Like I have known her forever. She made me feel confident about my teeth and was just so positive and fun to work with. She is so attentive to detail that she can even work preventatively. Meaning, she can catch things that other dentists or doctors may not notice... even before it's a problem or a health concern. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I hadn't been to a dentist in a couple of years; I have good teeth and I take care of them. Most of my dental trips are pleasant so I can't speak to the pain and grief associated with procedures like root canals. I went in for a cleaning and my hygienist was great (Jessica, I think?) Friendly and gentle. I had x-rays done so that meant a routine of insert; bite down; hold still; repeat for about twenty minutes. A little uncomfortable but she was as gentle as she could be. I was impressed by the amount of time Dr. Jeff spent when coming in to say 'hello'. At my previous dental office I think the dentist breezed through for approximately 10 seconds. Jeff took time to greet me, ask how I was doing, check my teeth, and answer my questions. I felt respected and taken care of. When I requested a follow-up appointment to have a new retainer made they squeezed me in early one morning so I could make it in and then get to work - I really appreciated their effort! The technician who did my impressions was awesome; great sense of humor and made the process as fun as it could be when you're having goop-filled molds pressed into your gums. They have a large parking lot and are right off Webster street so it's easy to get to.

Dr Marshall is the best of the best. The Yelp description of "general dentistry" is, I believe,…read moreincorrect. Dr Marshall is an endodontist. Endodontists have a couple more years of training beyond that of general dentists. They are experts of assessing tooth pain and, where necessary, doing root canals. Some general dentists do root canals. However, I understand it's difficult to remove ALL the pulp from within the roots because they are curved and the shapes vary from one person to another. If the job is not done thoroughly, it may have to be done all over again. My general dentist wanted to do my second root canal but I refused even though he offered to do it at about 60% of the cost I paid Dr Marshall. Far as I'm concerned, the extra cost for an endodontist is well worth it and I question why the dental regulators even allow general dentists to do root canals. I've had two root canals by Dr Marshall, the first one being very elusive as to which tooth was causing the problem. Dr Marshall took gobs of time to make sure to find the correct tooth. Both times there was no pain or other discomfort and the whole procedure was quite entertaining. He is very personable and it's very reassuring to know you have a top expert taking care of this kind of problem.
