This is the 3rd time we have used Bob's tree service and he is the only tree service we use and recommend to our friends and neighbors.

I explained it so even a 3rd grader could comprehend it, but scribbled in his so called "contract" was to take down the hickory tree with no mention of the ash for $1500.00. It's lucky we were watching these guys before they took down the hickory. In the meantime, they had cut the branches of two neighboring trees for no apparent reason. So now Bob himself comes on the scene with no mask, and tells me it was my fault, and to remove the branches from the ash would be an additional $1500.00! That obviously didn't get done. This was, in my opinion, a typical bait and switch technique, which is not only unethical, but unprofessional as well. In his his called "contract" it states the pieces would be cut into 15" lengths. Some of them were twice that long! Guess they must have forgotten their ruler. And check out the pictures for the damage they did to my yard. And all this is after I gave him a referral. The next referral he gets from me will be with the Better Business Bureau.

I believe the insurance he provided was for lawn care, and wasn't designed to cover tree removal; and when I asked about this he stopped returning my calls. In our last conversation he implied he would have the insurance confirm it was for tree removal after the weekend on the first business day, but as it turns out, now he's ghosting me. Made me waste a week thinking I found a company to do the work I required. I could have spent that time looking for a company that could do the work. Basically multiple reviews for his former business echo this sentiment. This is why he renamed his business from Hillcrest to Hill.

He was up front that they weren't the cheapest company in town, but having known their work we went with their company. Note, the tree that fell I had been eyeing for a few years, thinking I should have it taken down. Well, the weather took that decision from me as I waited too long. They were quick in setting up a date for the removal. Arriving early for the work. Impressed at how meticulous they were at removing the tree.
