Second time was to remove tree that had fallen on our shed during a recent storm. He was up front that they weren't the cheapest company in town, but having known their work we went with their company. Note, the tree that fell I had been eyeing for a few years, thinking I should have it taken down. Well, the weather took that decision from me as I waited too long. They were quick in setting up a date for the removal. Arriving early for the work. Impressed at how meticulous they were at removing the tree. Thorough removal of everything and ensuring the driveway was blown of an fallen leaves or branches.

The tree was in a difficult location. very close to my house and leaning over my deck and roof. In addition to the Ash Tree Eric's Crew took down a Large Oak Tree that had been ravaged by Gypsy Months as well as an Old Pine Stump that was in a Flower Bed right against my House. Eric's Team worked very hard all day to get the Job done quickly and safely. They totally cleaned up my lawn (their work site). My lawn was much cleaner then when they started :). Eric's Price was very Fair and I would absolutely recommend His Company Acorn Tree Services. At the very last minute and I mean very last minute the morning of I told Pete we had changed our mind from pruning to having the trees completely removed and stumps ground down. This project was holding up other projects we have to complete so time was really of the essence. Pete and his staff were very understanding and worked to be able to complete the job for us even with this unexpected change of event events, without having to reschedule us. We thank them enough for this!! they did a fantastic job, cleaning up the yard and filling the stump holes. Even with the heavy equipment, you would barely know it was in our yard. The price was also great as they had to work over powerlines for one of our trees.. I highly recommend!!

In the spring we are constantly dodging hanging caterpillars. Then we spend about $60/ month for unlimited car washes for 2 vehicles. The caterpillar castings and tons and tons of bird poop land on our cars. The castings are almost impossible to remove in the first car wash and we often use the car wash service two times in a row. The tree was also ugly. Very ugly. I believe it was a maple. But it was misshapen. And diseased. The bark was all moldy and gross. It had rotting limbs in the center. A major limb fall into the street this year, causing power to go out for a few hours in our neighborhood. We got a quote from Southern 401. It was a great price. Although we only intended to cut our overhanging limbs, Southern 401 advised us that it would cause the tree to become extremely unstable because of the imbalance in weight. So we explained it to our neighbor and made a deal. These guys have been taking their time, taking care not to hit our fence which is pretty much right next to the tree. They've been stacking up the useable firewood -even stacking them up cross cross. They blew all of the saw dust off our property and swept up all of the leaves and twigs. I made them lunch and had some time to chit chat. They're really nice guys. I'd recommend them to all of my friends!
