Unfortunately, we were hugging the left side of the road so much to avoid oncoming traffic that we hit a sharp Rock and destroyed our tire. We quickly changed over to the spare tire and were still able to climb our mountain. This morning, we woke up knowing that we would have to get the tire repaired but didn't know where to go. Several people recommended this place and we are sure glad that we found it. Immediately after we pulled in the repair man walked over to our car and assessed the situation. Our tire was not just punctured but torn to shreds. He took it back into the shop and within seven minutes had a new tire on the car and had us on our way! We couldn't believe it! He also was thoughtful enough to encourage us to save the receipt for insurance reimbursement. Thank you Tyre Stop!

We had a tire blow out on our rental car and as you can guess they now come without a spare tire…read more It was Friday after normal hours and as soon as I called, the owner verified he had a tire, sent a truck to pick up the car and arranged a taxi for my wife, brother and sister in law to take them to our hotel. By the time the car, truck driver and I arrived at the shop, the owner, new tire and all equipment were waiting. They had me back on the road in 15 minutes! I was driving northeast on M8 when the tire on my Hertz Rental car began to fall apart, with a long…read morestrip of rubber slapping the tire well of the car. Fortunately the tire did not lose air and I was still able to drive the car, but we weren't sure for how long. One of my daughters googled "tire store" and she found that Mike's Tyre Centre was the closest to us. As we were trying to find the tire store, one of the friendly employees from Mike's was walking down the street and showed us where to pull our car in. The new tire was on the car and paid for in less than 15 minutes. As for the price, it was exactly what I guessed it would be. The men at Mike's were very empathetic about our situation and recommended we take photos of the tire to use when trying to get reimbursed. They also could not believe that Hertz would rent a car with bald tires. Two months later I'm still trying to get reimbursed from Hertz, but that's another story. If I lived near Mike's Tyre Centre I would definitely use them for my tire related services.

Charlie took his time, confirmed all the problems with the car, gave me realistic estimates of what the car would cost to fix and left me to go away and make an informed decision as to whether I wanted to spend money to keep the car on the road. After two weeks I decided to go ahead, he fixed my car, in line with the original estimate and it passed the NCT. Also, he very patiently answered all of my questions and put up with me agonizing (a lot) about whether I wanted to get the car fixed or not. He also did a major service and charged a reasonable price for it + the car is now driving better than ever. 2,500 miles later the car is still great. All, in all an excellent service.
