I have a relatively old Audi TDI which had some tricky electrical problems with its ABS system, which had baffled a previous mechanic, along with some other problems a result of which it hadn't a hope of passing the NCT. Charlie took his time, confirmed all the problems with the car, gave me realistic estimates of what the car would cost to fix and left me to go away and make an informed decision as to whether I wanted to spend money to keep the car on the road. After two weeks I decided to go ahead, he fixed my car, in line with the original estimate and it passed the NCT. Also, he very patiently answered all of my questions and put up with me agonizing (a lot) about whether I wanted to get the car fixed or not. Absolutely brilliant service and advice, really trustworthy, reasonably priced and straightforward - got to the bottom of a problem with my car in a morning, that had failed to be recognised by 3 other garages who charged me over 1000 euro prior to bringing it to McEnery Motor services.
