The staff explained everything to me in a language I understood. While I was waiting for my tyres to be fitted I made use of their waiting room. Big comfy sofas, plasma screen and satellite TV. Under the TV screen was another screen linked to a camera in the workshop so I could see my tyres being fitted from the comfort of their waiting room. The waiting room was clean, comfortable and had tea/coffee making facilities + FREE Wi-Fi. I also had my tracking done and the tyre fitter explained to me that not only would it help prolong the life of my new tyres, it'd also help with reducing my fuel consumption. I cannot recommend Bandon Quick fit highly enough. Bandon Quick Fit is located on the irishtown end of the bypass in bandon town.

As luck would have it a very nice older gentleman happen to see me putting on the spare and stopped to chat. He said that was the second one he'd seen that morning. He said there were two tyre shops in Kinsale but one was closed for the week. He suggested Dempsey's. The shop was easy to find and right on the main road out of Kinsale. We were in and out in what honestly felt like 10 minutes and the charge was small enough I didn't even bother to ask for a receipt to give the rental company. Dan was great too. Asked where we were headed and gave us tips on where to go and what to avoid. If you're in the Kinsale area and have car trouble absolutely give Dempsey's your business.

I was driving northeast on M8 when the tire on my Hertz Rental car began to fall apart, with a long…read morestrip of rubber slapping the tire well of the car. Fortunately the tire did not lose air and I was still able to drive the car, but we weren't sure for how long. One of my daughters googled "tire store" and she found that Mike's Tyre Centre was the closest to us. As we were trying to find the tire store, one of the friendly employees from Mike's was walking down the street and showed us where to pull our car in. The new tire was on the car and paid for in less than 15 minutes. As for the price, it was exactly what I guessed it would be. The men at Mike's were very empathetic about our situation and recommended we take photos of the tire to use when trying to get reimbursed. They also could not believe that Hertz would rent a car with bald tires. Two months later I'm still trying to get reimbursed from Hertz, but that's another story. If I lived near Mike's Tyre Centre I would definitely use them for my tire related services.

I recently had my car in for a power steering leak. They checked and confirmed it was coming from 3…read moreareas but fixable, just parts needed to be ordered. Price 500 euro. I agreed and gave the go ahead. Parts arrived and car booked in a second time for a full day to do the job. I got a call later in the day to tell me job complete and fixed. Car can be collected. No leak seals changed job done. I paid remaining balance and when I got home looked under car and frame was still wet and oily. I thought maybe residue from doing the job. Ran it through nct, failed again on leak. Brought car back a 3rd time to be checked. They kept car for the day and was told now leak is coming from somewhere else. May not be fixable. No come back on money paid as leak Also from seals. Bottom line issue not fixed after bei g told it was and out of pocket over 400 euro. Also a scraping noise coming from steering. I think they misdiagnosed the issue and refused to offer any further help after I had paid. Leak as bad as ever after job was done and a new scraping noise on my 3rd visit. I have since had leak fixed by another mechanic who I wish I had taken it to first day. Passed nct just had to pay a second mechanic again to fix issue. I get power steering leaks or any leaks can be tricky. Just don't tell a customer it's fixed when it clearly isn't, charge them and then refuse any refund or comeback on money they paid for something that's not fixed.

I left premises with what I thought was repaired tyre and had to change it for spare on motorway later. Mad.

We are visiting this week from the United States and set out for a major adventure yesterday to…read moreclimb the highest peak in Ireland. Unfortunately, we were hugging the left side of the road so much to avoid oncoming traffic that we hit a sharp Rock and destroyed our tire. We quickly changed over to the spare tire and were still able to climb our mountain. This morning, we woke up knowing that we would have to get the tire repaired but didn't know where to go. Several people recommended this place and we are sure glad that we found it. Immediately after we pulled in the repair man walked over to our car and assessed the situation. Our tire was not just punctured but torn to shreds. He took it back into the shop and within seven minutes had a new tire on the car and had us on our way! We couldn't believe it! He also was thoughtful enough to encourage us to save the receipt for insurance reimbursement. Thank you Tyre Stop!

Another delightful Irishman!!
