Despite the time crunch, the team was polite, prompt, and incredibly responsive. The absolute highlight was an unadvertised extra step that shows true artistry: I had asked for a specific type of bird accent for the bouquet. Instead of saying 'no' because they didn't have a plastic pick, they took the time to hand-draw a stenciled version of the bird with varying colors to include in the arrangement. It was a beautiful, personal touch that I never expected. Walking in to pick it up, the space was warm, cozy, and inviting. The staff is just as wonderful--beautiful, attractive people who were friendly and made the whole experience feel special. To top it all off, despite my specific modifications, they maintained the advertised base price--a wonderful value for such personalized service. Most importantly, they nailed the vision. The gentleman was very helpful in explaining the various types of chocolate decadence that they have, and he gave me the prices as well. They don't actually post the prices here. The medium sized box of chocolate covered strawberries that I purchased was nearly $50. I think the main reason for the pricey chocolate is their location being only a block away from the White House and also because most of the chocolate is imported. I'm sure the tariffs now has increased the price by a lot. The one reason why I did not give this place five stars was that they opened over an hour later than what is posted on the door.

A quick Google search later, I realised that I was less than 450ft away from the florist; which was PERFECT because I had been considering what to get my close friend for her birthday! I went in to the florist with an image of the exact bouquet that I wanted from their website (with the addition of a monstera leaf because I saw it in store). After about 10-15 mins the bouquet was ready. Overall it looked good - but, very different to the image that I asked for from the website. As much as I had wished it was a fuller bouquet with the flowers and succulent that I saw from the image on the website, I couldn't deny that it was still a beautiful bouquet that my friend would appreciate. I feel the amount I paid was more absorbent than I expected, especially considering this didn't include a delivery fee. But, it was all in good spirit to celebrate my friend, who is more than deserving.
