As always, Justin and the crew did an amazing job. They kept it 100 with me and never tried to skip…read morecorners. I had some elective work done this time: a PPE transmission pan and full servicing, plus a Baxter oil filter adapter. Unfortunately, PPE doesn't keep the Mojave's altered geometry and frame thickness in mind for their fitment chart because it flat-out doesn't fit. They could have just slapped it on like I asked because it **kind of** fits, but it either requires further machining or altering of the crossover pipe. Beyond that, it now lowers the pan slightly under the frame, which it doesn't do on the standard frame 3.6 pan. However, the flush was great; my truck shifts better than ever and legit feels brand new now. For the Baxter adapter, there's a little casting nodule left over from the factory's casting of the pug manifold; hacking it off is required for some, but not all. They asked me first and did a fantastic job. My oil was fresh--I run Mobil 1 Extended Performance and had less than 3,000 miles on it--so it wasn't about the oil change. It's about swapping the Pentastar's oil filter housing unit from an inferior cartridge-style filter with a twist-on cap (that has very demanding torque specs) to a metal twist-on filter. These are inarguably better, not only for your vehicle but for the environment, as the metal can be scrapped and the inside has less plastic. The difference in early start-up tick due to the dry start is night and day. I'm not in "tick failure," so it was such a quiet start-up that it was kind of shocking. Anyone who says the Baxter is snake oil probably ate Tide Pods, because it was the smoothest, most quiet start-up I've had since owning my truck. They installed it very quickly and charged me incredibly fairly. I can't say enough good things about Brake Force LLC!

I've traveled all over the western US in this van and when there's a problem I can't solve myself most shops either won't touch it or try to get it out the door as fast as possible. It's a difficult vehicle, so I don't blame them. But Amazing Auto Service, who I've used 3 times, always comes through. They not only solve the issue at hand, but will always note any other problems they see and ask if I'd like those addressed as well. They always give great advice and are happy to walk me through what they're fixing and how so I can gain more knowledge and independence when it comes to maintaining my own vehicle. They've spotted things other mechanics missed multiple times. Mustafa has gone above and beyond on several occasions by saving old parts so I could return or sell them, picking me up from where I was staying way out in Gaston because I otherwise couldn't get a ride to the shop for several days, and comping hours' worth of diagnostic time on a hard-to-find vacuum leak. He's always looking for a practical solution that works and saves you cash. As a petite femme my experience at the mechanic varies. Some places treat me like I'm wallpaper, not listening to a word I say. But Mustafa treats me with respect and talks to me like a human being, actually listening to the issues I'm reporting. I highly recommend this place and I know where I'll be taking future vehicles as well as sending friends!

He has also been solely responsible for saving me hundreds of dollars in repairs he did not deem necessary as recommended by other repair shops and has never let me down with the needed repairs he felt necessary. My wife who does not trust other auto repair shops has nothing but the highest praise for Auto Max, Frank, his wife Marta who runs the show in the front office and his experienced mechanics. After Frank had prepared a Ford Escort I owned for a 10 month trip to Mexico I had a problem and took it to a Ford dealership in Mexico and a mechanic told me that the problem was a faulty part, I know better and called Frank from that dealership whereas Frank spoke to the Ford mechanic explaining to him the mechanic's error directing him to the actual source of the problem, the problem was resolved at no cost to me, thanks to Frank Morales. Nine years later I purchased a new SUV and after the new car warranty's had expired turned my car over to Frank and he is the only person I trust and rely on to service my vehicle and it still feels and drives like a new vehicle. I highly recommend Auto Max of Oregon if you are wanting experienced quality service you and your vehicle deserve. Mark Reed!

Each time the issue was "fixed" more issues would suddenly surface. A never ending cycle of paying money for an issue to never be resolved led to frustration and distrust of auto mechanics. Based on its known reliability, I bought a Honda in hopes that this car lasts me for the next 8 years or so. Everyone knows that a car's longevity is based on the consistency of ones maintenance. In short, I was on the hunt for a reliable auto shop that I could turn to for the next decade. With buying a used Honda came the dreaded idea knowing I'd have to deal with another auto shop. I spent time looking through Yelp and I found this place to hold very consistent high reviews. I decided to book an appointment with them and I'm so glad I did. I was met with professionalism and when issues did arise, they were addressed and fixed! My only gripe may be that appointments fill up fast, but that only goes to show that their great service is selling!
