When I brought my ailing 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon with a Subaru engine and a bunch of after market parts to this place I wasn't sure they'd be game to really dig in and find the root of its problems. I've traveled all over the western US in this van and when there's a problem I can't solve myself most shops either won't touch it or try to get it out the door as fast as possible. It's a difficult vehicle, so I don't blame them. But Amazing Auto Service, who I've used 3 times, always comes through. They not only solve the issue at hand, but will always note any other problems they see and ask if I'd like those addressed as well. They always give great advice and are happy to walk me through what they're fixing and how so I can gain more knowledge and independence when it comes to maintaining my own vehicle. They've spotted things other mechanics missed multiple times. Mustafa has gone above and beyond on several occasions by saving old parts so I could return or sell them, picking me up from where I was staying way out in Gaston because I otherwise couldn't get a ride to the shop for several days, and comping hours' worth of diagnostic time on a hard-to-find vacuum leak. He's always looking for a practical solution that works and saves you cash. As a petite femme my experience at the mechanic varies. Some places treat me like I'm wallpaper, not listening to a word I say. But Mustafa treats me with respect and talks to me like a human being, actually listening to the issues I'm reporting. I brought my 2004 Ford F-150 in for a fuel pump replacement after running into some stuck bolts that stopped me from finishing the job myself. The shop delivered on their promise, they replaced the fuel pump properly and even fixed a few of the damaged bolts along the way. While the repair didn't end up solving the root issue I was chasing, it definitely helped narrow things down and ruled out one possible cause. They also honored their original quote, only adding a small and reasonable charge for rethreading the messed-up bolts. I found that completely fair given the extra work they had to do. My only gripe is that the job took longer than expected, they originally said it would be ready later that same day, but I had to bring it back the next morning. To their credit, when I returned, they got my truck in right away and started work immediately, which I really appreciated. Overall, solid and professional service. They did what they said they would, charged fairly, and treated me with respect throughout the process. I'd definitely consider bringing my truck back here in the future. P.S. I'm extremely disappointed and feel scammed by this shop. Let me make it very clear: 1. We had a clear deal for $500 with Mustafa -- deleting muffler and resonator install STAINLESS STEEL pipes. 2. Later, me and Justin agreed NOT to cut the diffuser cause I didn't wanted to buy dual tips anyway, and the tips that they cut it I asked to put my old tips back until I buy new ones. Justin told me "I'll figure it out." And then he said I DIDN't said that!,anyway it's not a big deal 3. A few hours later, when I stopped by to check, BOOM! my car was GONE -- taken to another shop in Beaverton WITHOUT my permission, WITHOUT even a CALL or TEXT!!! I didn't know who drove my car or what they did to it. And the WORST part? They put ALUMINUM pipes, NOT STAINLESS STEEL like we agreed! This is a straight-up lie dude and betrayal of trust. Horrible and Incredibly unprofessional - please please PLEASE save your money and go to somewhere else!! I attached to the photo that was left on my previous review because it's just straight gaslighting and manipulation. I attached our text because you can clearly see back in February He did not initially fix my car even though he said he did and I have been waiting to hear back for parts. It is now April. That is not explaining anything. Mustafa I don't know how you can explain something " multiple times " if you have not contacted me back once even though you said hey, I'll call you back in 30 minutes OVER A WEEK AGO! Not to mention my initial car problem was over a month ago. It's not adding up They will not give you a straight answer and/block or forward your calls when they don't want to communicate . I've waited over a month after being told they could fix my car. It's gone from we ordered the part. The part got lost. It got re-ordered and this this and that they will never give you a straight answer. Not only did they breadcrumb me this entire time , They have refused to keep in contact, but will continue to keep up their charade whenever called. I have now had to resort to calling them on multiple phone numbers because they do not answer when I originally call on my own. I went in to get my car fixed and they fixed everything but the initial issue but had no problem, taking my money and sending me on my way, when my car was unfit to drive. He will say oh I will call you back in 30 minutes and then you will not hear back from him for over a week. You always have to reach out to him first. Especially if you are a female going without a man PLEASE pick anywhere else. The main man Mustafa, who runs this auto body shop is not very kind and has definitely made me feel scammed. They do not care about your safety , just how much money they can get from you. He responded to this initial review, but because I had to edit it, you can no longer see his comment so I attached a photo . He is claiming that he communicated with me, which is a bold face lie. You have said you could get one specific part so I didn't have to replace the entire steering column , I love that you're saying now that we have to replace the entire column. Those are two very different things and you're making me out to seem stupid. You said you were gonna replace one piece of the entire column so don't swap now because I'm calling you out in this review . If you were honest and clearly communicated that you were gonna have to get the entire steering column, I would've gone to someone else over a month ago, but you have been breadcrumbing me telling me we will fix it and order the part and that it was already ordered you have not ordered it. You've been taking advantage of me so at least own up to that. You could communicated with me like a grown adult instead of breadcrumbing me along saying you could fix it. Why not be honest and let me know you guys were not capable of ordering that part ? I would not be leaving this negative review if I felt even once that you were honest with me and my family during this entire process. You advantage of me. We have been going to Amazing Auto Service for years. (Actually, it was originally owned by a man named Song, and then later by a man named Boonpakog. Song was good, Boonpakog was great, and the current owner, Mustafa, is fantastic.) They always treat us fairly, and their prices are reasonable --- lower than other similar independent shops, and certainly lower than a dealership. The bottom line is, they care. Case in point: a few years back, one of our cars had a headlight that kept going out. After the third time replacing the headlight, Mustafa knew their was something else behind the problem, and he changed the wiring. No dice... four months later, the headlight went out again. At this point, to him, it was a quest. He investigated further, and found out that Mazda's recommended fuse was not strong enough for the headlight. So he changed the fuse, and voila! --- the problem was fixed. (We actually weren't 100% certain it was fixed -- though Mustafa was -- until we went months without changing the headlight. It's now been three years.) What's more, for the last round of repairs --- the one that actually fixed it --- Mustafa didn't charge us. He felt responsible after telling us that the original wiring change would solve it. Another case in point: last week --- the reason for me deciding to write this review --- Mustafa replaced a backup camera on our car. That's not really their specialty, and he had installed the original camera while doing another service a couple of years ago. Well, the camera ended up being a lemon, and it took him hours to change the wiring and replace with a new one. It had taken him several visits to diagnose the problem, and he didn't charge us. What's more, at the same time we needed our brake calipers replaced. That's not a big charge. What WOULD have been a big charge is if our pads and rotors also needed replacing. They could have easily told us (as a way to recoup some money from their time spent on the backup camera) that everything in the brakes needed replacing, and we wouldn't've known any better. But they didn't. Amazing Auto is honest, fair and extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn't take our cars anywhere else. read more

I'm 76 yrs. old, but still functioning and for the 1st time in my life a car of mine, in this case a 2002 Toyota Sienna w/190,227 on the odometer that I was using to move myself to another house, failed to pass smog at the DEQ. Which ment I wouldn't be able to renew my registration until it did. I'd actually gotten a ticket from Washington County Sheriff's dept. for expired tags. I had very little money and the readout from DEQ indicated Air/fuel and O2 sensors were likely the problem. I got a couple repair quotes for as much as $600+ and I was thinking I might have to junk, up to that point, one of the most reliable cars that I'd owned since 2007 or ever. I was in a quandary and financial bind as I tried to figure out, what next. I recollected that an aquaintence who I'd met a couple months prior, another older geezer/toyota owner, mentioned that he'd gotten excellent service at a place on SW Shaw near 170th. Google maps showed two places and I called both, but remembered the name Mustafa, who turned out to be the young manager of Amazing Auto. So I made an appt., got over there that day, he ran some checks on his analyzer and confirmed upstream O2 sensors. I got a far more reasonable quote, but had to wait 3 days for parts to come in but got the repairs done. But the "drive cycle" for everthing to coordinate w/the car's computer and show "ready" at the DEQ was a bit of a pain that had to be endured, but everything finally passed and I was able to get the registration renewed. So I have to thank Mustafa for his patience, perseverance, and confidence, that got the job done, with far less pain in the wallet. He certainly knows his stuff... and delivered as promised. read more

I brought my car in because it was making a whirring noise. They called back within a day and told me it was the gasket and they could fix for $350ish. I was happy the price was reasonable and said go for it. I also mentioned my horn didn't work if they would check it. I picked my car up 2 days later - so 3 days with them total which is reasonable. My car is still making the noise. They didn't check my horn like I asked. My receipt received (via email) is entirely incorrect. Wrong car, wrong service, wrong price. I did call back and they said bring it back in but we only have one car and couldn't afford another rental for several days. Also couldn't work it out around work and school schedules. I was looking for an auto shop and went here based on reviews, but I'll be looking for another shop and won't be coming back. read more

TOP QUALITY SERVICE, I will never go anywhere else again. They quoted me almost $1500 cheaper then any of the many shops I called to get an engine replacement. They've worked on both of my cars, and it's been nothing but high quality service, it's cheaper then anywhere I know for anything, and all the employees and the owner are super friendly and know what they're talking about. They've called me over to show me things, shown me videos and pictures of my engine tear down, always very communicative. I've had a lot of work done here with 0 issues and would recommend this place to everyone. It's hard to trust a shop with your car but I don't even worry about it when I take it here, I've left my personal belongings in the car as well and nothing has ever been messed with or out of place. read more

Do work without permission & make you sign a document that eventually saves them from small claims court because as the owner said "they have done it many times". Wonder why? Won't provide sufficient documentation for insurance. Alternate between names/businesses to confuse you. Their business license is expired and they should be reported to the better business bureau. A little over a year ago in March I was driving down Hwy.26 when the engine stopped running. Coasted to the shoulder and called for a tow - but where to go? All I remembered was V-Tech Automotive Service, but that had been some time ago, and I'd heard that B. had to give it up ... but I'd also seen reviews after that - so I called the old phone number. New ownership - and they had our records! Hope springs. Considering its age, I'm certain this car could never be properly replaced if "totaled". The opposite of a lemon, it's a Keeper. After assurance from Mustafa that no Cheap work would be involved (even though the overseas manufacturer just had a recall, and the Pandemic Recession had just slowed everything to a crawl), I told him to take as much time as needed to do it right. If you have a euro car don't take here they don't know what they're doing at take short cuts. Took my car here to fix a coolant leak and ended up taking a month just to get my car. Now my cars engine is ducked and still leaks. They charged me saying it was ready to be picked up the 1st week and as soon as I left their lot, all my coolant was gone by the time I got home. I took it back since I paid over a 1000 and it wasn't fixed not even close. Week after week I called since I never received a update and began to worry but they always assured me they were gonna get it fixed. 1 month from me dropping off my car I called and they said I can pick it up. I came and picked up the car and then a new problem emerged with the engine that wasn't there before, it was not how I dropped it off. This auto shop ruined my car and ran up the miles. I asked for a refund and they said they couldn't. Instead they took or lost my undercarriage cover and left rags to cover leaks under the car. Avoid these fools working on your car they were supposed to use European pink coolant and assured me they would and instead used cheap green coolant. Don't drop your car off here, if you really want to get it fixed make sure you take it to a professional not these amateur oreily's workers they will string you along take parts. read more

Took my vehicle in for rotors and brake pads. But only did this shop give me the absolute best price, but they also didn't charge me for things I didn't need. I had my brakes done a few months before the rotor went bad. They said the pads manufacturer told them they would still honor the warranty on the pads so they didn't charge me for the pads since they had just recently been done. That's honest work. He kept my car for 2.5 months and put 300 miles on it driving it for his personal use. He lied to me for 2.5 months, I have all the texts to prove it. He then forged my signature to cash the check. My car was not fixed he and his team are not capable of fixing your vehicle. They will scam you. Don't take your car to this shop, they are unqualified and unprofessional.
