I very rarely leave negative reviews but I feel I must in this instance. For 20 years we used Tri State Water and was extremely satisfied with them. They were the nicest people and had amazing customer service. Unfortunately Tri State sold out to Aqua Filter Fresh/Tyler Mountain. Since then the experience has been less than desirable. Their customer service is awful. In the past we had a set schedule for the year's deliveries. They even sent a calendar with stickers showing delivery. That went away. Days of delivery seem to vary. Now we get a text and email the day before delivery. For 20+ years I always would put the empties out before I left for work. Even with this new company. Yes thy say you can put empties out the night before. This past week was our delivery day per text message. I put the empties out around 7am as I've done forever. Later my wife received an email saying your empty bottles weren't out when we tried to deliver, we will reschedule. They were trying to deliver at 6:40am! I called the office and questioned why they were there so early and how I've always put them out at the same time. The woman sat silent in the phone. I had to ask, so now how do we remedy it? She said you've been rescheduled for Tuesday already. Later that day my wife received a passive aggressive email with a screen shot of the text that was sent and a message saying see the text we sent. WTH? This is your customer service? I got my text yesterday, put my empties out the night before. Left for work this morning, no delivery. Came home from work tonight, no delivery. No email saying why, no text, nothing. A few months back we didn't receive our delivery and same thing, no email or text saying why or when it would be rescheduled. I had to call them and ask what happened and was coldly told that the driver called off. Okay, maybe you notify your customers. I asked okay when will we get our water? They said we would get an email and text sometime. Why does the customer have to call and ask why Thor service wasn't performed? Just a horrible company now. I would love to use the cliche saying of "if I could give zero stars I would." read more

I had a leaky bottle delivered but was unaware of the fact that it was leaking until I saw water dripping from a pipe in my basement ceiling. By that time, 4 gallons had seeped out of the bottle and found its way between my vinyl foot and the underlayment. I have tried to call Joe Bell, Customer Service Rep, twice to discuss the problem, but he has not bothered to call me back. It should be noted that upon removing the leaky bottle, we noticed that the word "Cracked" was written in marker on the bottom of the bottle with an arrow pointing to the crack. So, Tyler Mountain failed to take this bottle out of the rotation, knowing that it was cracked. I have been a customer for years, but I am afraid that my relationship with Tyler Mountain Water Co. is over! Their custom service is terrible. The driver didn't deliver our water because he said our empty bottles were not outside, even though they were. He just didn't bother to get out of the truck to check. We then called customer service and they proceed to tell us it was our fault because the bottle were moved over three whole feet from where the usually are. Apparently it doesn't matter that we have left them in that exact spot multiple time and still had our water delivered. They refused to come back to the house and said we would have to wait for days before they would come back. They ttok no responsibility for the mistake and just continued to blame us. Do NOT use this company! Worst customer service I have ever experienced, they are a very rude and shady company! I cancelled my account due to multiple "missed" deliveries that I was charged for anyways. Then when it came time to pick up their equipment it sat for over 2 months, and I got charged a "service fee" every month they didn't come! Save your money and go with another company!! read more

OMG!!!! This company ACTUALLY stole my money!!! I can't believe it. DO NOT give this company access to your hard earned dollars. There are other water companies that are at least honest and worthy of our business. Let me begin. I have been a customer of theirs for approximately 4 years. Everything was fine until recently. Even though they have ALWAYS had the rude and obnoxious customer service reps, at least they didn't try to steal from me until recently. Let me explain. When we first start service, we pay for our empty bottle deposits UP FRONT, so whenever they deliver new bottles of water, they just take the empty bottles you leave out as an even exchange. So one day they delivered a damaged bottle, but keep in mind that they picked up an empty bottle in exchange. They took the leaking, damaged bottle and did not replace it. So the reality is that they took an empty but did not deliver a full functioning bottle of water for the empty. The solution would have been to just deliver another bottle of water with no strings attached. To deliver a bottle WITHOUT taking an empty, because they already had done so previously.  After a few weeks, they finally managed to deliver the bottle of water BUT they took another empty bottle. So I actually gave up 2 empty bottles for the ONE successful delivery attempt. After a lot of email correspondences over such a trivial ($7.00 deposit/credit) and an easy fix, they STILL have not reimbursed me for the extra empty bottle that they took. They won't return the $7.00 deposit return.  REALLY!!?? They lost a customer over a measly 7 dollars. OMG!!! It was such an easy fix but somehow they don't know how to conduct a legitimate business. I read Read Mallory Jones's 1 star review on Google as well.  After reading her review, I now,  totally understand what's happening. This company has become very inept, unconscious and even borderline criminal. Those days are here folks!!! Where we dreaded to see the days that SOME, not all, of the unconscious and inept younger generation would become the managers, the customer service reps, and the store clerks of our businesses. This company is one of those companies. I hear there are other family run water delivery services who are much better run and actually care for their customers, better than this one. They deserve our business! Not this business! Don't say that I didn't try to warn you. Not happy at all. Was shifted over to AquaFresh from Pittsburgh Water Cooler, and service is night and day. PWC was prompt, respectful, helpful and polite. AquaFresh was curt, rude and unpleasant to deal with. I will never call their company again. I will however, be researching a new water supplier for my home. Just terrible. read more

Nearly 10 Years of "GREAT SERVICE" and product with no problems. Unfortunately I experienced a problem on Friday October 07, 2022. A problem that could have been resolved in a matter of minutes. But, the members of the Hupe family, that own the Company, shot that down with accusatory harassing type behavior. My delivery did not arrive. Saturday I received an E-Mail stating that I did not have my empties out, so therefore no delivery was made. I was alarmed! I placed the bottles out at 7:00 A.M.. My Office is at home directly above my driveway and the empties in that driveway. I was in that Office from 6:45 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.. I departed a few hours with the empties remaining outside. (Picture provided of the view outside my Office with the bottles in the driveway.) Arrived back home and no delivery. E-Mailed a complaint. A member of the Hupe family responded with an E-Mail asking if the picture he sent was of my home. No picture was provided. I in turn responded that no picture was provided. He replied (3) times telling me to respond yes or no if this was home. I kept telling him, I can't because there is no picture. Eventually an Office member E-Mailed me the picture and it was my home. Where the picture was taken you could not see the bottles due to a rise in the driveway. All I wanted was my delivery but this member of the Hupe family kept E-mailing me with statements such as there must be something wrong with me. This went on for (3) days. I finally demanded a stop to the E-Mails or I was going to pursue harassment. That did not work. He spouted off again after the warning. 10 Years of good service ruined by a member of the family that owns Tyler Mountain. All of the other employees I have dealt with were exceptional. What an embarrassment it must be to work for a clan of Hupe's that undermine all of the great service the non-family employees provide. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Tyler Mountain. From the very beginning our water service has run smoothly. We get a notice the day before our delivery so we can put our empty bottles out and if we need one or two more we can just leave a note on one of the empties. Our deliveries are "always" on time and our delivery guy neatly lines them up next to our wall. He is very polite and was very understanding when we forgot to put out our empty bottles once or twice. He just worked us into his route later in the week. The billing is easy and has yet to be incorrect. The best part, the water really tastes amazing and it's not filled with cancer causing chemicals. Everyone that comes to our house raves about the difference in taste from tap water. I can't say enough about how awesome our experience has been :) read more

The customer service is poor at best. When confronted about it, they state that they've done it this way for years, and you are expected to know this. When you question anything, you are told that their billing and credit card files are automatic, as though they have no control over them. Very rude and have obviously never heard that the customer is always right. Their motto is that the customer is always wrong. I have about 10 emails that prove everything I just stated. If you read them, you would be shocked to find they were able to retain a single customer. I should have known what I was in for when I first called the company. I asked a few questions and was curtly told that they handle everything on line. They do not want any personal interaction. This company is the worst and I will be looking for another suppier. I should have known this would be handled badly from my first questions. Since we've been in business, over 30 years, we've always had some type of water service. When I retired last year, I ordered it for my home. I asked about the system, since the cooler was dropped in front of my door with no directions. I've always had 2 faucets on the cooler, hot and cold. On this one, you couldn't tell which was which and one was cold while the other was room temperature. I had never heard of this. Someone finally explained it to me. Neither spigot seemed to put out cold water. I fiddled with it and unplugged it a few times before it finally worked. 2 days later, I got an email that they were delivering a second machine. I cancelled it, but I wondered why nobody told me about this when I was on the phone. They choose to be hands off. Do everything by email. Do not call us. We don't like it. My mother switched water delivery companies (crystal springs was the previous place) because of the unprofessionalism. She heard such great things from her sister but I guess my aunt was just lucky. My mother had to call Tyler Mountain Water each time she wanted water because they forgot/didn't have her on the pick up list. It makes. I sense. At least have the decency to call if you are running late or whatever the situation is. Why would someone want to be a customer of a place that constantly forgetting them? Pittsburgh Water Cooler sold my name to this company. I received no notification. I finally called to have them explain they sold the "customer's names" to Tyler. I had to call 6 times within 4 days to try to straighten out my water delivery. I was "re-routed" and missed the delivery, given the wrong amount of bottles after I clearly told them how many I needed and they charged me and extra deposit fee when the left too many 5 gallon bottles. I just wanted to close my account. It took 12 days and 2 more emails to have them finally pick up my bottles. They have not credited me for my empties and charged me to come get the water that was their mistake. Stay clear. read more

I'd heard lots of positive feedback on Aqua Filter Fresh from small business owners and offices. Saw them at the Home Show and did the math, it made sense to sign up for home spring water delivery at my home starting in June Cue two weeks ago. Emailed my salesman Scott. Didn't hear back (still haven't heard back). Emailed Jim, whose card I also had. Jim emailed back 3 full days later, telling me I was put into the system for an address change and would inform me of new delivery dates. He never followed up. Instead, I received a paper "schedule" in the mail - dates which did NOT work for me. Same evening, I received a call from "Joe", saying my water would be delivered tomorrow. No time window whatsoever! I called Scott the next day and he had excuse after excuse. He took 30 minutes to tell me.....nothing. But he sure had some excuses! Naturally, I called the main office to cancel. Becky talked me out of it and gave me a couple free bottles to compensate me for the ridiculous run-around. Helpful and direct, she is the glue that holds the office together. There's no way this woman is paid enough for what she does. My on time, charming and professional delivery guy Tucker grinned from ear to ear when I mentioned Becky. Lessons learned: Office Staff and delivery guys are amazing and super competent. They keep the company running. Salesmen are worthless. In terms of affordability, you're looking at $1/gal for spring water, what you'd pay at Whole Foods or Giant Eagle -- delivered to your door. read more

Why didn't we do this sooner? I guess I always thought water delivery was only for businesses, or that it was very expensive. Turns out home water delivery is very affordable, and the mountain spring water is delicious! Now I'm kicking myself for putting up with nasty-tasting, often-brown, always-tasting-of-chlorine, high-lead-levels Pittsburgh tap water for so long! There's a small rental fee for the cooler, but I prefer that to buying my own - with the rental, they take care of routine maintenance and periodic replacement due to age, so I don't have to mess with anything. Not only is the price better (compared to buying my own cooler and buying my own bottles and refilling them at a grocery store), but it is also extremely convenient to have the water delivered (no lugging bottles, no washing bottles myself), PLUS they deliver SPRING water from Maryland, which is much tastier than the reverse-osmosis water at supermarket refill stations. Price, product, and service have been great, we're very happy with our decision to get water delivered from AquaFilter Fresh/Tyler Mountain. read more
