We live in Point Breeze, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and for years we struggled with common city…read morewater problems including a strong chlorine smell and taste, hard water scale buildup, and extremely dry, itchy skin and hair after showering. Our drinking water never tasted right, fixtures constantly showed mineral deposits, and showers often left our skin feeling worse instead of better. After researching water treatment companies in the Pittsburgh area, we contacted Cesare's Quality Water Solutions. Lance personally came to our home, performed professional water testing, analyzed our water chemistry, and took the time to explain exactly what was causing the issues. Instead of recommending a generic, one-size-fits-all system, he designed a custom whole-house water filtration and water conditioning system specifically for our home's water quality, flow rate, and usage needs. The results were immediate. The chlorine taste and odor disappeared, the water feels noticeably cleaner, and our drinking water tastes better than bottled water. The very first shower after installation was incredible. Our skin felt softer, our hair felt healthier, and we no longer experienced the dryness and irritation that had become normal for us. We have also already noticed a reduction in hard water scale buildup and find ourselves using less soap, shampoo, and cleaning products throughout the house. The installation itself exceeded our expectations. Everything was exceptionally clean, organized, and professionally installed. We were concerned that a whole-house water filtration system would be bulky or unattractive, but Lance went above and beyond to ensure the finished system looked as good as it performed. The equipment is neat, compact, and blends into the space far better than we expected. What impressed us most was Lance's commitment to doing things the right way. He took the time to educate us, answer our questions, and build a water treatment solution based on actual water testing rather than a sales pitch. It's clear he takes tremendous pride in his work and genuinely cares about helping homeowners improve their water quality. If you're looking for a water filtration company in Point Breeze, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Oakland, Fox Chapel, or anywhere in the Pittsburgh area, I highly recommend Cesare's Quality Water Solutions. Whether you're dealing with chlorine taste and odor, hard water scale, dry skin and hair, or concerns about your municipal water quality, they provide professional water testing and custom-designed water filtration systems that deliver real results.

The water had a metallic taste too. I'd scrub the stains off, and they would be back a week later. What really bothered me was not knowing what the water was doing to the pipes inside the walls where I couldn't see them. Lance from Cesare's Quality Water Solutions tested the water, and the pH came back low. He walked us through how acidic water reacts with copper plumbing and explained that it was causing the blue-green staining. His recommendation was simple: an acid neutralizer sized specifically for our water. The metallic taste is gone, and the blue-green stains haven't come back. Lance retested the water afterward, showed us how the system works, and explained what it will need down the road. The installation was clean, and he clearly knew what he was doing. If you're around Greensburg, have a private well, and are seeing blue-green stains or corrosion on your fixtures, call Cesare's.

I very rarely leave negative reviews but I feel I must in this instance. For 20 years we used Tri…read moreState Water and was extremely satisfied with them. They were the nicest people and had amazing customer service. Unfortunately Tri State sold out to Aqua Filter Fresh/Tyler Mountain. Since then the experience has been less than desirable. Their customer service is awful. In the past we had a set schedule for the year's deliveries. They even sent a calendar with stickers showing delivery. That went away. Days of delivery seem to vary. Now we get a text and email the day before delivery. For 20+ years I always would put the empties out before I left for work. Even with this new company. Yes thy say you can put empties out the night before. This past week was our delivery day per text message. I put the empties out around 7am as I've done forever. Later my wife received an email saying your empty bottles weren't out when we tried to deliver, we will reschedule. They were trying to deliver at 6:40am! I called the office and questioned why they were there so early and how I've always put them out at the same time. The woman sat silent in the phone. I had to ask, so now how do we remedy it? She said you've been rescheduled for Tuesday already. Later that day my wife received a passive aggressive email with a screen shot of the text that was sent and a message saying see the text we sent. WTH? This is your customer service? I got my text yesterday, put my empties out the night before. Left for work this morning, no delivery. Came home from work tonight, no delivery. No email saying why, no text, nothing. A few months back we didn't receive our delivery and same thing, no email or text saying why or when it would be rescheduled. I had to call them and ask what happened and was coldly told that the driver called off. Okay, maybe you notify your customers. I asked okay when will we get our water? They said we would get an email and text sometime. Why does the customer have to call and ask why Thor service wasn't performed? Just a horrible company now. I would love to use the cliche saying of "if I could give zero stars I would."

They sent Don for the sales side of it. Don is top notch. Very informative, not the least bit pushy, and super helpful deciding what you should and shouldn't do. Danny got the job done in half the time we were quoted it would take which worked out perfect for me because I had a tight schedule that day. Danny is an artist in his work. As a commercial piping designer myself, I can tell you first hand that there are two types of pipers/plumbers. Good and bad. Pipe is pipe, it doesn't matter what system we're talking about, it's all about the piper. Danny is one you want installing piping in your house. He's pushing 30 years with Culligan, he best be getting some type of bonus. Our well water was so hard before deciding to get a softener through Culligan. It was leaving hardness stains all over our sinks, giving us a constant battle against dandruff because of how hard it dries your scalp, and definitely wasn't drinkable. Culligan fixed all of that up for us. We got a softener that showed immediate results in the hardness. Man, that first shower with the new water was heavenly. Finally shut the wife up about it ;). We also got a reverse osmosis system that fits nicely under the sink to replace the very costly water bottles we've been buying since we bought our house. We love the taste now, and the system will pay itself off without the cost of the 5 gallon water bottles (plus the damn hassle of getting them). Only regret I have is not getting this system put in sooner! Thank you Culligan!

I wish I had known that and read some of the 540 complaints on the BBB web site. Roto-Rooter is charging me $3100.00 for incomplete work. After two no-shows with no notice, they started work on 3/19/21. They jackhammered a deep hole in my basement, removed the sewer trap, and fashioned a temporary connection between two cut pieces of sewer pipe. Original estimate was a 2-day job for $4839.00. After another no show with no notice, I gave up on them on 3/24 and asked for a bill for work completed. Then they added $1140.00 onto the bill from a quote dated 12 days after the first quote, saying it was part of the original job, for additional work that was never even attempted. And for that, they want $3100.00? THIS IS SHAMEFUL. 4/7/21 Update: A Customer Satisfaction Manager from RR HQ read my online complaint under Google Reviews. After filing a formal complaint with the Murrysville General Manager, and a reminder follow up, this Customer Satisfaction Manager was able to get Murrysville RR to assign a manager to review my complaint. This manager was able to cut my bill in half by dropping their profit on the job and billing me for only the labor cost of the work that had actually been done. He sincerely apologized, stating that this should never have dragged on so long, and that this is not the way they do business. He also promised to follow up with the job supervisor regarding multiple customer service failures that resulted in significant delays. This was an expensive lesson for me--one that I will never forget. I am awaiting the corrected bill so that I can pay it and move on.
