They didn't skimp on the egg roll fillings, which I really appreciated. I've gotten egg rolls from other places where it just feels like cabbage and the bare minimum pork, but this wasn't like that. They had a crispy exterior and were perfect. I really love cream cheese wontons, and they were the kind I like best with a sweet cream cheese interior.

I paid 10$ for 4 decent size cream cheese wontons. I'm not upset about the price but what I was upset about was when I got my cream cheese wontons, the inside was cold. They were cooked and crispy on the outside but it was as if they had been sitting on a counter for 20 minutes. When I had been ordered I saw a heating lamp. So my guess was they had been sitting under the heating lamp for a while. I just wish I could have had fresh and hot cream cheese wontons. Next time this truck wouldn't be my first choice but I know everyone makes mistakes. So I would definitely consider coming back and giving them another chance.

Homegrown Foods tics all of those boxes for me. I'm also a hard core co-op shopper, and prefer my food be local and organic, when possible. Homegrown Foods offers the excellent ingredients I am looking for delivered to my door. The recipes are unique and adventurous, and I've been able to try new cooking methods and ingredients I wouldn't have thought to use before. The meals are kid friendly, as well without being TOO kid friendly, if you know what I mean. I'd recommend it to any family looking to liven up their dinners.
