I haven't taken many cooking classes before, but I assumed we'd leave with leftovers or at least cook everything we made. Instead, I watched our raw gnocchi get thrown away rather than prepared, which was super sad to watch it get wasted and honestly disappointing. For nearly $100, it would've felt more worthwhile if the class included a more complete meal, like a simple salad, a piece of bread from their sister bakery, or even a glass of wine! The class itself was also very short. The recipe came together so quickly that we were in and out in about an hour, which didn't feel like enough of an experience for the cost. A few small improvements could go a long way, like adding an angled mirror (like in cooking shows/demos) so everyone can easily see what's happening in the pots instead of awkwardly taking turns leaning over a boiling pot. The management was so friendly and they quickly gave us a run down of the bakehouse. They make all the treats here for Honey & Rye (minus the bread)! I tried a deconstructed chicken cordon bleu meal for lunch and it was excellent had a Pizza Bowl for dinner and both were very filling and I was full. I'm 6'+. I think the right ingredients and nutritional content of the dinners make them very filling and satisfying. I am very satisfied with the quality, taste and how satisfied i was after the meal. I will be ordering more and doing some custom orders for family members with dietary restrictions and certain nutritional needs.
