Wow! I'm really surprised to see that Postmates has a one-star rating on Yelp! I don't think I've ever seen that before! Almost every review I see has one star. I only saw one review with three stars. I'm probably the only one who's giving them a five-star rating out of hundreds of reviewers. Lol. I guess it depends on what part of the country you're in? I had a fantastic experience with Aaron. He delivered some over the counter meds to my grandmother quick, within 15 minutes. I was on the other side of town so I decided to use Postmates for this task. None of my other relatives were around. Aaron even took a photo once he dropped it off at her house. Since he was so quick, I decided to give him a larger tip. I've used Postmates in the past for food delivery and never had issues. I've used worse delivery services (Favor and Instacart for example) than Postmates. I was also relieved that more money than needed wasn't taken out of my bank account. The other two services I mentioned above took out more money than needed from my account. Why? I'm still not even sure. I had to complain about that to them. I wish all delivery experiences were like this one, quick and efficient. Aaron deserves a raise! Also, he has a 98% rating on the app, which is pretty impressive. It would be cool if we could request drivers. If we could, I would pick Aaron every single time. He made mine and my grandmother's night. Here's to hoping the pills helped my grandmother sleep better. read more

I agree with all the other reviews 100%. From quality of food to delivery itself. I work long hours and occasionally look forward to ordering in when I am tired and don't have tne momentum or time to prepare food at home. I have had multiple issues that I am to the point that I will eat toast and water rather than spend over $80.00 for a meal that I end up throwing in the trash because it is so disgusting. Not to mention, every delivery person has a high rating but most of the time are very rude and can't even manage to access my building despite telling them over and over again. Postmates needs to shut down. Horrible, horrible in all aspects. read more

This company will screw you at every opportunity. Use something else. The so had the wrong address for me so I fixed it while ordering. Once I committed to the order, the incorrect address showed up again except now I started the order. I changed the address after the order but now it's to far away even though I've ordered from this place before. No other option to cancel so they charged me $30 to cancel. I contacted support but just got the run-around for 20 minutes and this there was nothing they could do. Their app screwed up and they take zero responsibility and took my money! read more

Postmates used to be a pretty good service, delivering my orders in a timely manner with everything included. I used to prefer it over Grubsouth or Doordash, and deal with the higher markup, because the service quality was high. But now every order has a missing item that I have to refund and the wait times have gotten unreasonably longer. It's just not worth it anymore. read more

Postmates / Uber eats - I've used both companies and almost every order that I placed arrived wrong. All mistakes were not in my favor... statistically impossible to get about 5 to 7 wrong orders and none of them go my way. It is impossible to get to them. I'm only able to send a text and some Indian dude replies. I'll give you five dollars back. Last time I placed a $250 order, I ordered for a company meeting g...about 10 plates in total. I received one fish sandwich... obviously I inquire about it and I get a $5 back. No replies after. This generally what happened to me on every single order and it is impossible to call them. They're too big for me to do anything about. I just won't order and I wish more people will read about it. What a scam!!!!!!!! AVOID THIS POS COMPANY. THEY GOTTEN SO BIG THAT THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ANYMORE. read more

Postmates is the worst delivery company ever! Absolutely no customer service. The drivers that deliver the food are HORRIBLE. The delivery driver went to the wrong address even when I input the correct delivery address in the app !! and when I tried calling the driver he just hung up on me and the customer service rep refused to listen as well. I realize this can be a hard job but when someone hangs up on you that's just bad business all around. I deleted the app and will never use them again. Way too many other delivery companies out there that are reputable. In conclusion, stay far away from Postmates and Uber Eats. I also suggest contacting the better Business bureau if you had issues with Postmates That's my rant for the day . read more

I had a terrible experience with Postmates. I received a text offering 60% off (up to $30) on select restaurants. I added the promo code, saw it applied at checkout, and my total showed $46.36. After my order arrived and about to tip, I noticed I was actually charged $76.36. The discount never went through even though the app showed it applied. I contacted customer service, and it only made the situation worse. The first representative claimed my order "wasn't eligible," even though I had a screenshot showing the promo was accepted. As soon as I sent the proof, they disconnected the chat. The second representative was rude and condescending, trying to "teach" me how to apply a code instead of addressing the issue. This felt completely misleading and dishonest. Postmates advertises a promotion, shows it as applied, then charges the full amount with zero accountability. I will not be using Postmates again unless they fix this and improve their customer service. read more

I ordered from a pizzaria just 4 short blocks away, and at checkout, my total was $22.32, which already included a $3.99 delivery fee, $3.83 tax, and a $4.00 tip. After I placed the order, my total suddenly increased to $26.52 due to a $4.20 "Marketplace Fee" that was not shown or disclosed before checkout. I contacted customer support three times, spending over an hour trying to resolve this. One rep told me to come back after the order was completed, the second abruptly ended the chat, and the third was no help at all. The complete lack of transparency and poor customer service is extremely frustrating. If you value clear pricing and responsive support, I strongly suggest avoiding Postmates read more

I would never order from Postmates again!! literally charged my credit card for a pizza and I left multiple questions and comments, letting them know exactly where I was where I was standing and they drove right past me with my pizza did not stop. Did not question. Do not order from Postmates they're stealing your money you're wasting your time. It's the biggest rip off. Never deal with Postmates. I used to order from them all the time now they're just a big scam. They don't even call you back there's no phone number to reach them or a way to contact through chat save your money. read more

Last night, I ordered pizza about two hours ahead of when we expected to eat and received a confirmation. I visited with the friends that I was planning to feed, and when the half hour window of the promised arrival of the pizza had passed, I consulted my order and found in my junk email a notice sent approximately half an hour earlier that my order was cancelled. In order to find out why, I was directed to the "app", which I didn't have. When I went onto the Postmates site, there was no way to get information on my order, no way to get an explanation, no way to lodge a complaint. Today, trying to communicate to Postmates or Uber about my order, the same thing. We were very hungry and inconvenienced, cancelling our dinner because of the new logistical considerations. No word, no explanation, no attempt to redress the lack of performance by Postmates. Uber, no better. read more

Terrible service. I ordered something from the grocery store and it was sold out. The shopper bought a substitute without asking me. Most reputable apps like Instacart make the part about replacements very conspicuous. The worst service I've ever experienced ever. They should be shut down for their scamming service. They cancel and refund your purchase without notifying you. You can't issue an immediate refund on your purchase, it takes 3-5 business days, so the $1400 iPhone you invested now turns into a $3000 purchase because you have to order it again thanks to the driver, Maria, cancelling it. Without notifying or asking!!! But to make matters worse she lied when I called the rep said she had tried to deliver it at 7:27 and WE WERE NOT HOME! Not only were we home we had been waiting for the bell to ring 4.5 hours waiting for her to arrive. That's a ridiculous $9 for the crappiest service I've ever experienced I can't say it enough. Major app glitch yesterday. Deliverers were dropping the wrong orders at people's doors. Then when trying to go to help for those particular orders on the app, the orders would not populate for 30 minutes to an hour. So, there's no way for customers to contact the driver. It's great. Until you realize they expect you to pay for food you don't receive or completely incorrect orders. They don't tell you this upfront...nope, they just say your account history keeps them from being able to credit you. Interesting. I paid for the item. I didn't receive it. Wow. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this company could use a lot of improvement. Quoted items are in the cookie cutter emails I received from support. "Let me help you out with your concern." I wasn't helped at all. Postmates advertised a bogus signup promotion of $5 off first 5 orders (which still exists on the site by the way), and then I was given one free delivery as consolation when support couldn't figure it out. Their default offer of $100 in free delivery is better than that! "We are not showing any promo codes applied to your account." I am looking right at it in my Account Settings. "Promos - 100% off Delivery Fee, Expires 9/22/2020, Next order only." If Postmates cannot see this in their OWN system then I am at a loss. No wonder the correct promo didn't get applied. Postmates can't even see the promos applied to their users' accounts! I asked them if they could look into this issue further, and if they couldn't figure it out, please delete my account. They wrote back 2 MINUTES later. "I'm sorry to hear that you want to delete your account. I'd be more than happy to check this for you." Nice business model. read more

I'm a Sprint Customer, and since Sprint and T-Mobile joined, all customers are encouraged to download an app that shares special promotions with its customers. One such promo I decided to try was a month of free postmates delivery. I have an iPhone and I do these promos for different things from time to time. I always immediately go into my Apple ID under my subscriptions and turn them off immediately as to avoid charges. The postmates app did not appear in my subscriptions. Supposing that it was because I had taken the promo through the T-Mobile app and having seen no information that said the typical "you will be charged 'x' amount after such period" notice, I thought it would just run out. WRONG! Turns out this was all a clever way for me to have $100 taken out of my bank account. I can confidently say that this is a time in which NO ONE has the patience for such tactics. Companies like T-Mobile and Postmates finding tricky ways to take your money during the pandemic. If you use any of these apps. I urge to check any promos you have before you are forced into a long term subscription that you aren't ready to pay for. I promise you these companies are not feeling the effects of the pandemic like us, the average citizen. Yet they have no problem taking advantage of us. "Feed the Rich" right? read more

Ok when I received an answer from Postmates for a refund I was told I made a significant amount of requests for refunds so I exceeded their refund policy. It's a flat out lie. This was my third order. The first two were perfect. Why would I want a refund on perfect orders. The restaurant knows this...I reviewed them and the Postmate driver. I'm so angry. I've dealt with many unethical companies but not like this. I'm one of those people who doesn't send her food back when eating out unless the order is completely wrong. I know lying is acceptable and believable these days...not with me. I'm waiting for them to prove when I asked for any refund. The restaurant Demaino's in Revere, MA is excellent. I gave them great reviews. Why the hell would I want any refund? I'm not done with letting Postmates insult and lie to me. read more

Have had several issues with this delivery service over the years, but nothing like today ... the absolute worst! I ordered food from a reputable restaurant in advance and had it scheduled for between 12:30 and 1 pm. At first it showed delivery would be early ... 12:15. Then the estimated time kept changing around 12:45-50 which was fine and within the time needed. At best this delivery driver was within 10 minutes of my home, BUT then the estimated delivery time kept getting later and later until it was supposed to arrive after 1:40 pm. And watching the tracking map, the delivery driver was who picked up the order was getting farther and farther away from my home to the point where he was over a 30 minute drive away. Through much effort, I was able to find a way to chat with a live agent online as their customer service phone number had a busy signal over and over again. Trust me, they do not make it easy either on their app or on the web site to do this. After hearing me out, I was given an uncaring and cold response that they were sorry and canceled the order because the wrong driver picked it up. That was it! I'd been waiting for hours, and that was all they had to say. When I pressed to know how to file a formal complaint about the incident, they again offered an empty apology and put a $10 credit on my account ... not helpful at all and not what I was looking for. I wanted someone to be accountable for this travesty, and they merely responded with boilerplate answers that said nothing.
