Then when trying to go to help for those particular orders on the app, the orders would not populate for 30 minutes to an hour. So, there's no way for customers to contact the driver. Since he was so quick, I decided to give him a larger tip. I've used Postmates in the past for food delivery and never had issues. I've used worse delivery services (Favor and Instacart for example) than Postmates. I was also relieved that more money than needed wasn't taken out of my bank account. The other two services I mentioned above took out more money than needed from my account. Why? I'm still not even sure. I had to complain about that to them. Have had several issues with this delivery service over the years, but nothing like today ... the absolute worst! I ordered food from a reputable restaurant in advance and had it scheduled for between 12:30 and 1 pm. At first it showed delivery would be early ... 12:15. Then the estimated time kept changing around 12:45-50 which was fine and within the time needed. At best this delivery driver was within 10 minutes of my home, BUT then the estimated delivery time kept getting later and later until it was supposed to arrive after 1:40 pm. And watching the tracking map, the delivery driver was who picked up the order was getting farther and farther away from my home to the point where he was over a 30 minute drive away. Through much effort, I was able to find a way to chat with a live agent online as their customer service phone number had a busy signal over and over again. Trust me, they do not make it easy either on their app or on the web site to do this. After hearing me out, I was given an uncaring and cold response that they were sorry and canceled the order because the wrong driver picked it up. That was it! I'd been waiting for hours, and that was all they had to say. When I pressed to know how to file a formal complaint about the incident, they again offered an empty apology and put a $10 credit on my account ... not helpful at all and not what I was looking for.
