My wife file for chapter 7 over a decade ago due to medical bills and paid everything in full. Our bills have always been paid and our rent always on time. They practice discriminatory practices. Due to my epilepsy they did not count my SSDI as income. If you do get approved to live here know that if you suffer from any disability they will make sure to remove you from their properties as soon as possible. There is a reason they have a poor rating here. Find something better if you can afford it.

Floorboards were loose and breaking on or stairs for weeks. Ceiling tiles in the closet we're broken and never replaced. We had shots fired in our parking lot (I wish I was kidding). Management came into our apartment to show it to potential renters with no warning. Water bills are split per units in the apartment and not metered per apartment without warning in the lease agreement. And as a nice parting gift, most of our security deposit was kept for them to do "repairs" when we left the apartment in better shape that when we moved in. Beware! Positive reviews have been written by property owners to boost Facebook ratings.

    I've been with Hunter for 3 years now, we are not staying another year because of their manager…read moreBrittney lying to my face, I have a problem in the apartment reported via email over a month now, next day I went personally and they didn't know there was an email that somehow was overlooked, I went back yesterday because without fixing the issue I had before, somehow went to fix something that wasn't reported or looked by maintenance at any point and now we had a second issue for 3 days that they fixed already thank God, and she told me 6 different stories, just lie after lie, first said that my daughter sent her an email asking for that and she is reading the email, I called my daughter and said no, I told her that they haven't fixed the problem and created a second one, when I confronted her, she said somehow she learned about this, after a while she said I remember it was the previous tenants, we've been there 3 years, oh oh my bad, one of you called by phone, none of us did, it was maintenance when they went to check, never happened, so gets mad, cross her arms and said how do you want to proceed then, she is not professional, to address an issue lies to your face to try to see if go for it, I told her that im paying to have good conditions and she said, you should see my apartment's conditions, I don't care if she likes to live in the trash, I don't want to live like that. Just to make sure this is understood, I lived 2 years with Axiom echo park apartment, in those 2 years I had both heat went out in winter time and A/C went off in July, the lady in the office, Brittney as well, answered every time and actually seemed she cared, maintenance was there always within minutes to an hour and both times a part was broken, had to order it and then fix it, but, both times they took care of the issue by bringing heaters to my unit, 5 of them and I a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, with Hunter is 3/3, and in the summer they showed up with air units and fans, not great, but at least I wasn't left to die like the Hunter lady has me here, not caring, if I was her boss, I would give her 1 chance to actually get her act together if that is not happening she should be fired.

They never sent any updates or had any communication to the construction process and I was the one who always had to reach out and even then they could never give me a solid answer on when things would be completed. There were so many problems with this place it's remarkable how they are even still in business. My thoughts and prayers go out to whoever is still living in these properties....

    I lived in Cortland from 1/2019 until 11/2021. From the beginning, I was told my unit came with ALL…read moreappliances. Upon moving in, there was not a washer or dryer in the unit. I called and chatted with Brittany Wallin (property manager). She was nice about it and said she would look into this matter. Didn't hear anything back, so I called and called. Then finally she had enough of me calling and got rude. "Well, the owner said he is not supplying the appliances, so you have to figure it out". Okay, I was pissed. Then we would get these random water and gas bills that were back dated for like 8 months. Not only that, but the bills would be due within 15 days after I didn't receive it for months. When asked why the bills are coming in this way, they told us it's because the owner did not send them the bill to bill me. I was so confused. Then when it was time to move out, they had all kinds of damages and charges. They not only kept my 1250, but charged me an extra $1900+ for painting, labor, and $210 worth of unexplained damages. I would suggest for you to definitely not rent here. They also have an attitude whenever you make a request for service or have a question about your bill. Its always Brittany who answers the phone and has the worst attitude. JUST DONT DO IT...!!! Spare yourself the agony and headache.

Upon signing the lease I asked was this the unit I looked at and applied for I was told it was. I brought them the security deposit and first months rent received my keys and headed over to the building with my uhaul to find out the unit was not the same unit I looked at and applied to. I immediately went back to the office and expressed my concerns just for the lady at the desk to tell me all she can do is ask if I can violate my lease and terminate it. I was so upset, it's not like I had another apt to move to right away. So I am stuck in a 12 month lease with a unit I never seen or liked. There are damages to the unit that I wouldn't have agreed to if I would've seen the unit. They just threw me in a unit and had no consideration. I am going to make the best out of this 12 months and be grateful to have a place to stay but I give them a 1/10! I do not recommend them because of their lack of consideration for tenants.
