I am SO thankful that we found Two Rivers!! My husband and I just had a couples massage and it was the best we've ever had. They did an amazing job, took their time, and specialized each massage. Going in I was so excited to see what Two Rivers had to offer, but my experience was far less than extraordinary . I am specifically talking about my manicure and pedicure. It started out ok, but they didn't get all of my original gel polish off, and having chosen a lighter color, you are able to see my old gel through it. I also ended up with the gel being very bumpy and being all over my cuticles, but this isn't even the worst part. I was told that we were going to run out of time and they may not be able to get to everything done which was weird but then I sit down for the pedicure, I chose the deluxe pedicure which includes a paraffin wax treatment and a massage. Everything was average up until I didn't get what I paid for. The woman said that we had run out of time and I would not be receiving a massage or paraffin wax treatment with my pedicure. You aren't getting what you pay for at this salon, I understand that they use nicer products than most salons in the valley, but their treatments don't even include what they say. Customer Service IS LACKING!!!!!! Two Rivers is one of just a handful of spas that can handle a party of three or more that want one service....ie two of your friends and yourself all want facials, Two River's staff is large enough to accommodate the request. BUT BEWARE - follow up is needed! More times than not, they have dropped myself or a friend and not recorded their services on their calendar of events. On Labor Day, myself and two friends - who all THOUGHT we had reservations - checked in for 50 minute facials. They couldn't find a record for my second friend's appointment for a facial and they couldn't accommodate her request. They did give her a less - than 50 minute massage for the same price. I, too had a reservation for a 50 minute facial and mine was barely 40 minutes. Same with the third woman in our party. We went on to get manicures. The manicures were good - but we definitely heard from our nail techs that we had to move from our chairs and make room for the next customer. I am fine moving to the lobby or the quiet room but I don't need to hear that! The same thing happened to my friends and even one friend, her nail tech, kept complaining how she wasn't told that she had to remove my friend's current nail polish - how removing the polish was going to put soooo far behind. Customer service needs to come to the forefront at this spa! Especially with the prices they charge!!! read more

Will not return. Called to inform front desk I would be late for a nail appointment. They did not seem to indicate there was any problem. When I arrived, they said the nail tech could not take me and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I thought about it for about 30 seconds and decided they did not deserve my business. Told my daughter and she will not be returning either. Seems as though an on-site manager might be a good idea for this place. They should recognize the importance of returning customers. read more

My daughter and I came in for manicures on 9-28-19. She had been in before and wanted to return for her birthday together. My technician was Laurie. I love my manicure and my daughter loves hers. What I was struck by especially, was the warmth of the staff. We had so much fun and it was so relaxing. Laurie took time to find out what I wanted and did an excellent job. My daughter and I both have very short nails and it's not an easy task to make those look great but both of the technicians succeeded. read more

Overall the customer service is more bad than it is good.. Not the most friendly people.. I have been in 4 times, and only once I had a good experience. I got pushed into getting a completely different facial than what I wanted/needed for my skin. I had also went in for an acrylic set, and the nail tech did a very poor/sloppy job, which costed about $65. I was highly disappointed to pay that much for such bad work. I got a brow tint and wax as well and I asked her to keep my brow shape, only clean it up a bit.. She COMPLETELY changed the shape of my brows. I do not recommend coming here. For the price the work is poor and so is the customer service. read more

We had a family reunion in Boise and all the ladies made a trip to Two Rivers for massages. I had my first hot stone massage and it was SO AWESOME! I highly recommend it. The experience was overall very positive. The salon itself is large and very clean, and they can accommodate groups, which was great for my family. I think each of us had a different level of "amazing" with our massages, so it probably depends on who you get. I would go again, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a pampering experience. Also, the prices are super reasonable. read more

Honestly? I've had better pedicures at the walk-in places at the mall. While the ambiance was lovely, the pedicure was just "myeh" and the overall experience was myeh and uncomfortable. My toes also look sloppy. I'm a care provider and teacher; I was looking forward to some pampering and me time and cute toes for a wedding this weekend. At one point I asked if the tech was new to the job (she acted as though it was her first day), and she said she had been there 4 years! (Did not act like it) I would compare the experience to looking forward to Christmas and hoping for a really special present, only to open your gift and find ugly, wrong sized underwear. read more

This was the only place in the area that has a prenatal pillow to use, so you can lie in your stomach rather than on your side (which is highly unrelaxing). Everyone I interacted it was so helpful, from my initial phone call to my lovely masseuse (Poy, I think). I've been to Two Rivers Spa several times. Each time I've gone it's been a different beauty treatment. All I can say is the atmosphere is nice however, the Service providers are lacking. Whether a pedicure or manicure or facial it seems everyone is in a hurry and the lack of effort is disappointing. I got a facial here the other day with Hailey J. It was a great experience. I was a bit worried because the lobby was so busy, there was not even a seat left to sit in while waiting. Once I got back into the room, it was very quiet and relaxing. Hailey did a wonderful job. She answered all of my questions and helped me select products that would suit my skincare needs. My boyfriend recently treated me to a full-on birthday spa day at Two Rivers -- massage, facial, maicure & pedicure. I have a friend that works here who highly recommended it, and it came highly recommended by the community as a whole. The Salon and Spa are separate from each other, which I rather appreciated. There's nothing worse than passing through a cloud of chemical fumes as you're heading into a massage. The staff was incredibly friendly, got me checked in right away, and, of course, offered me a beverage. I had to sit for about 10 minutes, which I suppose was my fault for arriving early. My masseuse came and got me and lead me to the restroom/locker room. She explained how to use the lockers and stepped out while I undressed into a robe and rubber slippers. I've never been to a "real" spa before, so this process came as a wonderful surprise. The only thing I didn't like was that, as a bigger girl, I felt very uncomfortable in the robe. The "slippers" were a little small, but manageable (although I wished they weren't rubber). The robes felt dated and the material was pilled. I ended up having to hold my robe wrapped around me (exposing a less-than-desirable tightness) so that everyone couldn't see my who-hah. Honestly, I would have rather gone into the massage room in my jeans, at least I would have been comfortable then. Once I was changed, my masseuse led me to our room and let me get undressed. When she came back, she gave me towels to slip under my shoulders for breast support -- a nice touch. I let her know my "problem areas" and explained that I'm a fairly sensitive person. I loooove massages, but please no deep tissue! She focused most of her time on my hips, which were very tense. (Not surprising, I sit all day for work.) As most masseuses do, she suggested ways to drop my hips and work out some tension. She didn't have time to work on my legs/feet, which was kind of a bummer, but I knew I had a pedicure coming. She seemed to have two levels of pressure: Deep tissue or soft grazing. When it started to get painful I let her know, and suddenly it was like I couldn't feel her hand on my back. I told her she could use a little more pressure, and then she went back to the painful level. I ended up just gritting my teeth. (She also worked out a knot in my shoulder, for four days it felt like I had a bruise in that spot.) When she was done, she stepped out to get me water while I put my robe and slippers back on. She then lead me to the "Quiet Room," which is a sitting room for while you're in between treatments. There was all sorts of tea, and lemon-strawberry infused ice water. It was quite a relaxing little room. The gal that did my facial came and got me shortly after, and led me to the treatment room. She stepped out while I undressed and got situated on the bed. This was my first time having a facial, and it was an interesting experience.. I would explain all of it to you, though. :) I will say, she did a wonderful job. When she was done, she stepped out while I got dressed, and brought me more water. She made sure I knew where the locker room was, instructed I go get dressed and wait in the Quiet Room again. Lori, my nail tech, came and got me after about 10 minutes. She led me to the pedicure station and helped me get settled in. What a great view! I can't wait to go back in the spring when the river is full of life and the trees are blooming. All of the nail options are on a mini iPad, which was a neat tool. They have hundreds! Lori was a hoot. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a quiet, relaxing pedi, but she made it fun and enjoyable. (As did the nail techs around us.) My pedi and mani were pretty standard, although I did upgrade to the gel manicure (duh). Lori was great, and I would highly recommend you request her! The day ended up being $200, before tips. It seemed a little high, but I know you pay for the higher quality service. (And hey, I wasn't paying!) Overall: The pros - High quality venue, friendly and helpful staff, tranquil environment, and beautiful location. The cons - A little pricey, not best for plus size women, and not the best massage I've had. But I forgot to mention, you can bring your own food and drinks! Can you imagine a spa day with your favorite gal pals and a good bottle of wine (or vodka!)? That is a big plus for me! read more

Massage was great! Even though it was shorter than paid for. Acrylic nails were a disaster. First, no one asked me if I want my white tips on nails glued or formed. Nail technician glued white tips,which cracked under acrylic layer the next day. On second day I broke my nail just by trying to catch my phone when it was falling. Lots of glue under my nails. Nails looked good,but were made with terrible quality. $60 for nails that lasted 2 weeks( in comparison to 5 weeks usualy) its not worth it. Do not go there for nails. read more

Unfortunately my experience was not at all what I would have expected from a well reviewed spa. I was booked for an 80 min massage that lasted only 65 minutes (I always take my watch on and off before and after a massage so I noticed the time). Anyone who is a massage regular knows that every minute is precious, let alone 15! I was escorted to the "quiet room" to wait for my pedicure (for some reason I could hear screaming teenage girls very close by). There was some lukewarm water for tea and one of the staff came in and started opening drawers and shuffling things for a good while. I went to the front to tell them about my massage that was cut off by 20%, and all I got was confused looks and an "oh". No one bothered to offer an explanation, follow up or rectification. Back to the not so quiet room I went where I waited a total 30 minutes before my pedicure (which could've been cut in half had I received my full massage). The pedicure itself was great but three of my nails chipped the next day. Normally, I would've gone in to get them fixed but given their previous lack of care, I didn't even bother, went elsewhere and paid out of pocket. I still got charged for an 80 min massage btw and didn't have the option to discreetly tip as they ask you right on the spot in front of five other people how much tip you want to leave, always awkward. While the Salon is beautiful with great views of the river, I will not be returning and do not recommend it to anyone. read more

This review is for the pedicure I received at Two Rivers. The lobby is relaxing and peaceful while you wait for your tech. You walk through to the back and are put up on a big semi-circle row of seats where you sit for your treatment. The seats were nice and comfy but the room itself wasn't anything to call home about. The pedicure itself was pretty good and included the hot wax wrap which was almost a little too hot. The polish job was perfect and lasted several weeks which for about $45 I hoped would be the case! Not a good place to get eyelash extensions! One person glopped so much glue on my eyes they were completely stuck together and burned for days. Another time the gal actually poked me in the eye and got a scratch on my eyeball that resulted in a very expensive visit to my eye doctor. Not good experiences! read more

This is a hard review to write and to be honest I am only writing it because I am desperate to find a GREAT nail place since moving here from CA and I was SO hopeful this would be the place based on the great reviews. First the positive- GREAT customer service- like everywhere in ID the ladies were all so sweet and nice and I loved chatting with everyone. The location is nice and clean with a great view - very calming by the river. BUt unfortunately that is where the positives end for me. I am writing this based off of high expectations from where we moved here from. If you paid for a $60 Pedicure you got the FULL treatment- great massages, nice smelling products, attention to detail, etc. The pedicures we got , while they were nice were really just basic pedicures with no frill. The paint jobs were fabulous but no variety- they do not offer any kind of nail art except glitter. Again paying $60 for 3 pedicures is not a big deal IF the service is truly deluxe. Then I had requested a really moisturizing manicure over the phone. My manicure consisted of cuticle trim and cuticle oil (by my own request I didn't want any polish because I am trying to get used to this dry weather so I really wanted to focus on moisturizing. Again by the time I realized my manicure was over, I just chalked it up to bad communication (I mentioned I had requested the paraffin wax and she recommended I do it next time. I cant stress enough that I DID NOT complain and the service was fine NOT $60 worth (Total of $264 for 3 pedicures and a cuticle trim) . I will continue my search for a GREAT pedicure and manicure so if anyone has a suggestion I am desperate. We love ID but so far pedicures are not working out so well for me. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED and expected more from a spa with supposed 4 stars and high price book. I booked a massage and a spa pedicure for myself and two of my friends. When I arrived it was very crowded and noisy. We were taken back straight to the massage treatment rooms. The massage was average and after putting all my clothes back on and using the restroom did we see other customers with robes and slippers! We were receiving a pedicure next so I did not want to don on my socks and shoes so I was walking on my tip toes around the floor while carrying my shoes and bag. No one escorted us back to the "quiet room" or offer lockers to put our belongings in. We were led to the quiet room just before our pedicure for a brief moment. The Pedicures were great and my technician was very friendly and conversational. By far the bright spot there. Overall, the customer service is definitely lacking especially when your paying for multiple services. I have been to countless SPA's and this is by far the least SPA experience I have encountered. Opposite of relaxing. Would not recommend. read more
